Mistakes of the Past

Cheeto still seemed confused, stunned as well at those words. It hadn't quite clicked yet as she shook her head a bit, as though trying to clear something out of it.
"W-What do you mean? Chloe?" She was shaking a bit, though it was hard to tell. She didn't know how to react, what to say. All she had was an unknown fear, and the greater fear that a growing suspicion was going to be confirmed.

She slowly got to her feet, moving a bit closer to Chloe, holding her hands out as if pleading for some kind of reassurance, or maybe to be picked up.

It would probably be easier if she just came out and said it. She gave Cheeto a hug first, though. She needed a hug - the kind of hug that involved picking her up for a second before putting her down and letting her go.

"I've slept around too. So it wouldn't be fair for me to be mad at you"

"Mmf..." Cheeto always made a noise like that when Chloe picked her up, and she made a point of burying herself in Chloe as well. It was always a show of affection but Cheeto seemed more insistent, more forceful this time around.

After she was put down Chloe dropped an absolute bombshell. Cheeto didn't register it at first, it seemed to take a few seconds for the words to sink in and for it to click in her mind. "You... Y-You were..?" She didn't seem capable of finishing her sentence, her body seemed limp, numb, yet rigid and unmoving. She simply stared up at Chloe with an expression of disbelief and shock, being hit by something she never expected when, as far as she was concerned, she was caught doing what she just learned her girlfriend was doing.
