Milke and Cookies

Addy was always bouncing from one place to the another. Thats not to say that she never slowed down and took time to speak with people. It had started off as her waiting for the crowd of fans to disperse. It had turned into her flirting with the cute security guard. She was happy that he was easy to talk to. She got weird flutters in her stomach, when they exchanged numbers. She didn't read much into it.

In fact she honestly thought he was being nice when they decided to have lunch together. She had baked cookies and brought coffee as well grabbed some sandwhiches from the Russo's. She wanted to be a sweet and nice.

She skipped over to the place where security sat and waited. "So are you on your lunch break yet?"

Addy was excited,she had made a friend at work who she didn't have to act with. She was never quite sure if they truly liked her or not. "How about the benches under the tree in the back?" She didnt want to take him to far away from the station. She thought it was kind of thrilling hanging out with someone who had a job.

"So I brought, sandwhiches, coffee and cookies...which I baked" she said swinging her basket as she lead him to the back. She kept the thought of her life style in her mind. She would have to tell him she was gonna get serious with him.

"How was work?"

Addy nodded "I kinda wish that I was a popular as my older brother. I lack the smoothness." She said shrugging her shoulders. When they got to the table she set up, draping a soft forest green picnic cover over the table and taking out the containers of food. "I uhm brought a lot of food in case you were really hungry" she said shly tugging and twirling at a strands of her hair as she sat down.

"You know, you never finished telling me about what classes your taking.. I know it summer time but..I'd like to hear about them" she was hoping to have an actual conversation with Aedan. She desperately needed someone she could geek out with. Sam was a cool person to get into trouble with, but she wanted science stuff.

She wanted to be able to watch doctor who with someone, would want to try and make something that awesome. Even though she would never say that. "This is iced coffee, okay it is the life source of the universe" she said handing him a cup from the tray.

Addy blushed, the redness spreading from her cheeks down to her neck. She didn't understand why this always happened when she was around people she liked. "You say that now, I tend to say the wrong thing and end up having to justify it" As much as she tried she always seemed to say the wrong thing.

"That's horrible, you need a home cooked meal. Take out is good every now and then, but its not healthy." She didn't want to he overbearing but she made a mental reminder to bring him a healthy meal every now and then. She didn't think he could keep his job and be unhealthy.

"That sounds like biomedical Engineering but more focused on technology and limbs. I don't know much about that, I do however want to be biological engineer, I mean I want to focus in genetic engineer...but I feel like if I specialize I'll lose out."

She played with the edge of the table cloth as she spoke and waited for the laughter. She had originally wanted to be. A chemical engineer but did research. She could go for broad approach and then narrow it down based on her thoughts when she got older. No one really expected her to actually go through with it, at least not in her mind.

She was afraid he'd laugh at her, she didn't exactly come off as the smart type. She liked being random and simple, it was easier to make friends that way.

"How long have you been on the island?"

"The school was right" Addy said shaking her head and snickering. She'd never seen the Popeye cartoon so she had to Google it. There was a lot about human and island stuff she was still learning. A lot of things from home didn't apply here.

"Is fine, awkward is cute." She said and she meant it. She was starting to collect socially awkward friends. She started to take out plates and pushed the platter of sandwhiches towards, Aedan.

"Three weeks, wow...I've only been here since December. You must be outta place a little...three weeks isn't that much"
