It was late, very late. Perhaps that's why she was there. The up beat jazz music filtered out of the closed door slightly, but not much. Nor did the sound of tap shoes meeting the beat of the music.

She moved to the music, not only with her feet, but also with her body, she hummed along with it, jumping and tapping her feet with all her might. Her wavy, burnt red hair was pulled up into an extremely messy bun, one that said she'd put her hair up because she was warm.

Her legs were clad in her regular black pants, but her upper half was not clad as it normally was. In the place of her regular long sleeved shirts, she wore an extremely tight black tank-top, of you could call it that, since it exposed more of her than it covered. However, it was obvious that it was designed for dancing. Her dark skinned, toned stomach was visible due to the shirt being designed to keep the dancer cool.

Her seafoam green eyes were open and relaxed, and because she was so relaxed, she's subconciously tuned out any emotions that were out there to be felt. Had anybody been listening, they would have been surprised to hear her voice suddenly break out singing with the artist of the song, in a low, husky, very jazzy, mellow sound.

Zar walked down the hallway, his hands in the pockets of his jeans. He had on a black sweater and was on his way to finish a statue he had started a few days earlier, the one of his mother. He wanted to get it painted and mailed by the next morning. Then he heard the heavy notes of jazz coming from a music room and decided to peek his head in.
What he saw was someone he knew. Luthien. She was dancing. Tap dancing to be exact, and singing along with the song. She was good. Really good, both singing and dancing. He stood at the door transfixed, and then the song ended. He smiled and entered the room clapping.

As it were, when he clapped, she was in the middle of executing a very difficult move, and she tumbled to the ground, biting her lip to keep from letting out a cuss word. Then she drew her knees to her chest, suddenly a bit selfconcious of her exposed midriff. "I didn't know anyone was up..." she said softly, her accent thicken three times over by her surprise. Then she pushed herself to her feet, crossing her arms to keep herself warm. She walked over to the stereo playing jazz, and turned it down so that the music was simply background. Suddenly, all of his fears and emotions rushed into her again, and she suddenly became aware that she was holding her breath. She'd been dancing, and she hadn't felt him coming. That was a new development. she cocked her head and smiled at him. A small smile, not of the usual calibre of her smiles, but at the moment, he was lucky she wasn't chewing his head off for interupting her.

Zhariah didn't really worry about her embarassment, he thought it was rather cute that she reacted so. But then he noticed she had wrapped her arms around herself, he assumed she must be cold and unzipped his sweater and walked over to her pulling it off and draping it over her shoulders revealing a plain blue tee shirt.
I'm sorry that I barged in on you, Loo. Are you okay? You didn't hurt yourself when I made you fall, did you?
He was worried about her, and he let it show in his eyes but he backed up giving her space and not letting his emotions go past that.

She frowned for just a moment when he placed his sweater around her shoulders, and took a breath to say something, but then snapped her mouth shut, instead slipping her arms through the large arm holes. "Thanks.." she said simply, still trying to decide whether or not she really was thankful.

Then she allowed a small smile to grace her face as his worry rushed into her. "No, don't worry. I fell to prevent injury, not to cause one. Besides, if I'd injured myself, I'm afraid you're see the less lady like side of me." she chuckled softly, surprising herself all the time. She shifted her weight from foot to foot, testing them to make sure she hadn't hurt herself, and making little clicking noises with her feet. Then she went a little more out, and tapped a fast ditty with both her feet. "Nope, I'm just fine." she added simply, bending to untie the tap shoes from her feet.

Zhariah watched as she tapped a little and smiled, she was good even with just a few taps of her feet. He exagerated a sigh.
Oh well that's good! I don't know what I would have done if you'd hurt yourself! I might just have died! he said with a small laugh.
He looked down as she bent to untie her tap shoes and backed towards the door.
Oh, hey, Loo, there's no need to take your shoes off, I'll leave and you can continue dancing! Really! Have fun! he said and moved towards the door, but he wasn't paying attention and toppled over a chair, knocking his head against the door and tangling his leg in the chair's leg. He sat there a moment without saying anything his head throbbing. He really wasn't very coordinated...

She opened her mouth to protest, when he fell over the chair. An involuntary gasp exited her mouth as his pain rushed into her. She quickly crossed the room to where he was, her tap shoes making "tik tik tik" across the floor. She dropped to her knees, untangling the chair from his legs. "That hurt." she stated, rather than ask. She knew he wasn't ok. "And it's too bad, since I'd rather have your company than dance." she smiled softly again. She found it rather amusing, that on one of the few nights that was was feeling soft, not grumpy because her insomnia, he found her. She settled herself back against her knees. She wasn't sure if she was ok with him seeing this side of her yet, but she really didn't have much of a choice, because she didn't have the ability to change how she acted, or rather, controll it from hour to hour.

Zar felt her untangle the chair from his leg and looked up at her.
That hurt.
He smiled at her, yeah. It had hurt.
He sat up and looked away from her wondering what to say...
He was glad that she wanted to spend time with him...
But...he also didn't know how to react.
Uh...well, how about I make it double the fun. he said finally thinking of something and standing up.
Would you care to dance? he asked and held his hand out to her.

Loo tried not to laugh at his discomfort. She succeeded in allowing him to pull her to her feet, keeping a straight face. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable with that comment.." she smiled a bit, then tapped her feet quickly, making a metalic clicking noise on the floor. Then she released his hand and ran quickly over to the stereo, turning up the jazz again. She started singing along with Frank Sinatra. She made wide, dramatic arm movements with the music, before chuckling at herself. She hoped that she was breaking the tension of the situation with her antics, but she was truly having fun too. "Come on, Zar, show me what you got." she grinned at him, tapping herself around in a circle with the music.

Zar looked at her and laughed, he walked over to the stereo and switched to one of Frank's slower songs and walked over to Loo grabbing her hand and spinning her before pulling her back and putting his hand on her waist.
I meant more like this kind of dancing. he said and moved to the music.
