Loo uttered a small sound, that sounded like a quiet squeak of surprise as he pulled her to him. She surprised even herself by flushing slightly.
"Hang on, just let me take my shoes off." she said quickly, pulling away from him to bend down and quickly untie her shoes. She was using her shoes as mostly an excuse to right herself. She kicked her shoes off to the side, substancially shorter without her heels. She moved close to him again, taking his hand and replacing it where it had been before she'd pulled away.
"Tap shoes sound funny when you're not actually tap dancing." she felt as though she needed to explain, and smiled a small smile.

Zar let out a small chuckle at the squeek she made. He stood there waiting for her to take her shoes off with his hands at his sides. When she grabbed his hands and replaced them he smiled at her. He moved to the beat spinning Loo when the time was right.
He'd just spun her when he said.
See, this isn't so bad, now is it?

When he spun her, she placed a hand on his chest to stop her spinning motion, and tried not to blush, succeeding championly. Instead, she smiled her regular smile, "Well, I have to admit, you caught me off guard." she said quietly, moving her seafoam green eyes away from his face. Somehow, she felt awkward, as though for the first time in her life, and wasn't completely sure what to say.

Zhariah noticed that she was uncomfortable and released her hand stepping back. He sighed and moved a hand through his hair. Closing his eyes he set his hand on a table and leaned most of his weight against it. He opened his eyes again and looked right at Loo. Completely serious.
Loo, I don't mean to make you uncomfortable. To tell you the truth, I don't even know what I'm doing. I enjoy being around you, Loo. I definately want to be your friend but, once again in truth, I'm trying to figure out if I want more than that. he said. He hadn't planned on telling her that, but he felt as though she needed to know. He just hoped that she would understand and still be his friend.
He sighed again and pulled a chair out sitting down and leaning his head back closing his eyes.

She pulled out a chair too, and sat across from him. "Zar, you didn't make me uncomfortable, I just don't always know how to react around you, and believe me, that's a new sensation for me." She smiled softly, pulling the elastic that contained her hair out of it, sending waves of burnt red showering around her shoulders.

She ran a hand through her own hair, shaking the curls to try and get them controlled. She didn't want to tell him that she was struggling with the same thing. She wasn't even sure what she was feeling, but it made her feel awkward. She pursed her lips in thought for a moment, then stood, deciding to give him space. She moved over to the stereo, and began singing with Frank, in her beautiful, though not classically trained, and instead soft and jazzy, voice.

Zar sat up and looked at her, his eyes followed her as she sat down and began to sing. With an inaudible sigh he put his head in his hands. He knew he must look pathetic but he didn't care. He needed to think. He knew this could potentially be a turning point in their relationship...he just didn't know what to do. He sat back up and closed his eyes and asked without opening his eyes.
Loo...how do you feel about me? I mean...do you have... any feelings for me...?

As his surge of emotions broke into her, she closed her eyes, desperately trying to block them out. She just wound up getting a headache. She released, letting his emotions rush into her. And then he spoke.

Loo...how do you feel about me? I mean...do you have... any feelings for me...?

His eyes were closed. And she was glad, because she bit her lip. She desperately didn't want to lead him on, but at the same time, she did like him. She sighed a quiet sigh, and crossed the floor to him. "I don't know Zar. I really don't." she sat, watching him, "All I know is that when I'm around you I feel different. Like I don't know what to do. That's a very rare thing for me." she nibbled on her lip, a nervous habit that she rarely showed as she watched him.

Zar nodded his head in understanding and then opened his eyes to look at her. A small smile spread across his lips.
He got up and stood in front of her a little ways back
Would you like me to leave? he asked. He shifted from foot to foot waiting for her answer. Not particularly nervous...just...waiting.

She didn't say anything at first, and instead cocked her head at him, looking much in thought. Then she crossed the floor, standing rather close to him, and tilted her head, looking up at him. "What do you want to do, Zar?" she asked him quietly, eyes open and welcoming. She'd made the decision that she liked him. And she was curious how sure he was of what he wanted. If he wanted something more, she'd let him have it. Because the more she was with him, the more she was thinking that that might be what she wanted.

Zar smiled at her, he knew what he wanted. He wanted her. He really did like her, he knew that. He just needed to know what she wanted.
He lifted his arms and wrapped them around her pulling her close to him and leaned his head down onto her shoulder. He wasn't holding on very tight, so that if she wanted to leave or get away from him, she could.
