Finally Tam had resumed asking questions and Mir resumed answering. very rarely were they responding with more than just yes or no answers. That was how they understood the game to work. "Yes," they had replied- the location they had in mind was definitely on school grounds.
They had to think about the rules for a moment. Would an actual direct guess be considered anything different or just another one of the 20 questions they had allotted. "We would consider that to be a single yes or no question and proceed with the game. We will not count this question you just asked as one of the 20." Technically Tam had just asked a question, and a yes or no one at that, but that was not in the spirit of the game. They did feel the need to point it out though as someone less forgiving might have used those kind of loopholes. The next question had been simpler. "No," they answered as their location was definitely not the lake.
While the game was going on Aria, true to her word, was keeping an eye on their surroundings while still listening to the game. She was pleased that KirMir weren't being jerks about the extra "question." They could sometimes take things a little too literally and she and Alette had been trying to help them with that.
Alette was keeping an eye out in her own way. As long as both of them were watching the surroundings passively they should be snuck up on, but she was mostly interested in the game. Not exactly on the answers but on the questions and logical method of narrowing down what the true topic was.
