"Your cheeks are glowing.....literally in fact," he'd say with a chuckle. "Either my words are magical....which I'm pretty sure they're not, or I'm guessing it has something to do with your enchanted biology." He'd never seen someone's cheeks glow when blushing before, it 2aw adorable really.

"Well, I'm sure you'll make him proud," he'd say with a smile, "whatever profession you decide to go into." He didn't know her well yet, but she seemed calm and confident, those were good traits.

He'd finish his cup of tea. "Ok, Bastet, now we've talked a bit, what do you want as a reward for finishing the race? Or were the snacks enough?" he'd ask playfully, with a chuckle.

"A-", she reached up to her face, seeing the faint glow project on her hand and looking a bit flustered, "A-hah, yes, because my blood is alien it has bioluminescence properties. Seems to have some other chemicals too, but nothing that could be bad for me or anyone else, it was said when I was examined in Japan."

Basté agreed to him with nods while finishing her coffee, before then being brought back into the subject of rewards. Pondering for a moment, she scanned Aedan up and down, before putting on a smug and declaring "Okay, how about you showing me your place then?"

"Alien?" he'd ask curiously, "one of your parents from off world?" He'd met aliens before, especially for work, protecting their ships and such for the security firm. "That's interesting, both an alien human hybrid and the partial avatar for a god," that was an interesting combination.

He'd chuckle. "My place?" he'd tilt his head, "and why do you want to see my place?" He had his suspicions on what she wanted, but he wanted to see what she would say.

Their pixie server would appear handing Aedan the check. He of course was going to pay as he promised, even if he hadn't lost he'd still have paid.

"They were both from different timelines, looking for one another in a different Earth. Turns out this Earth didn't have either of them and they met here. They believed it was fate, to meet in a world where they can live normal lives and have a family. Even though my father was KIA, they fulfilled their dreams.", that was why she could feel happy, even with the passing of her father. A couple crossed stars and universes to meet in the ideal place.

Hearing him question why she wanted to see his place, Basté gave a plain response: "To see what kind of person you are. One's room can tell a lot about them, whether they clean up or not. That will be a good way to know more about you via "show, don't tell"."

He'd chuckle at her answer. "Well if that's what you want,", he'd rise from his seat, "can't deny the winner's reward." He was curious about what she intended to do, but he wasn't going to poke at it just yet, he'd wait for now.

Approaching the counter he'd pay the cheque. "No racing though," he'd say with a chuckle, "I live further in the city, last thing we want is to get pulled over." Plus he didn't think his neighbors would appreciate the noise.

Aedan would exit the shop, holding open the door for her, before mounting his motorcycle and slipping on his helmet. "Well, follow me," once she was ready he'd lower his visor and take off.

Basté followed him to the counter, responding "I never race when a limit is involved, but I get as close to the limit as possible and keep it that way.", it wouldn't be good for the daughter of a prosecutor to be caught racing within urban perimeter, right? And once outside she showed she really meant it, following him close to the same speed but staying behind him at all times.

Shortly they'd come to his apartment building, it was nice enough looking on the outside. He'd pull into the parking area, pulling off his helmet and stepping off his motorcycle. "Come on, it's a few floors up," he'd quickly lead her up thr stairs, up until they came to his door.

He'd open the door, letting her in, his apartment was nice, a mix of new and old aesthetic. "Make yourself at home," he'd hang up his coat, doing the same with hers if she had one. "Soda in the fridge, you're not old enough for the other drinks," he'd say with a chuckle.

"Bedroom's down the hall if you want to poke your head in and satisfy your curiosity," he was curious as to what she'd actually do now that she was here.

Soon they had come to a halt at the building where Aedan resides, and once Basté cut the engine she would follow him upstairs and into his room. Her surprise in seeing his room was hinted by her whistling and bolting from a point of interest to another, studying everything she saw, responding to the mention of Soda while putting a book she peeked into away: "No Apple Soda, right? 'Cause if so I'll need some tomato to go with it."

And surely soon enough she would be going to peek into his bedroom, wondering what would hint to his profession. Even if she was not an adult yet, her way of walking and stance was little different from one, although with some power to it, something from her tomboy side.

"Apple soda and tomato?" he'd ask with a chuckle, taking a seat. "That isn't a real combo is it?" there was no judgment in his voice, just amusement and curiosity. "And no, no apple soda, mostly strong tasting drinks."

He'd watch her vanish into his room, taking a sip of his soda. Baste would find that his room was a little messy but in an odd ordered manner, but there was nothing that'd give hints as to what his job was, no anything like that was safely put away, there was however a violin on the desk in the corner. "What were you hoping to find?" he'd ask, rising front his seat and see stepping over to his room.

"I'm honestly not sure what you're looking for," his guns and personal security equipment was all put away in his closet.

"To explain, my stomach doesn't process apple correctly, as a result of that it is fermented and the result of that should be easy to guess. And the only "cure" for that somehow is tomato. It's ironic, 'cause the french calls tomato the 'pomme d'amour', the "love apple". People tend to forget tomatoes are scientifically fruits.", Basté explained, inspecting every corner of the room without laying a finger.

But something was swimming in the air around her, it seemed to be a single serpent, and one that could be mistaken for a ghost. Her eyes and that of her serpent fixated on the violin, before they turned to ask Aedan "So you play violin? Care to play me a piece?"
