Enoch woke up. He started to nod, but he saw the scratches on her arm. He closed his eyes tightly and started breathing deeply. He held his breath for ten seconds. "Did I do that to you? Sorry..." He replied quietly.
Joe looked at her arm and gasped in surprise. "Um, I guess. I didn't really notice." She grabbed the bottom of her white dress and pressed it against the wound. Good thing she had like, ten of these same dresses. They were her favorite. But since she made them herself, it was easy to replace them.
Enoch sat up, but kept his eyes closed. He didn't want to see the scratches on her arms. "Maybe you should go see the nurse..." He suggested in a quiet voice. He wanted to go with her since it was his fault, but that would mean opening his eyes, and he didn't want to.
Joe shook her head. "Nah. That aren't that bad." She was more concerned about him. Was he all right? He must have some phobia of some kind, she figured.
Enoch nodded. "Well, okay." He said with a shrug. "Maybe you could band aides on them?" He suggested, not wanting to see the cuts unless he absolutely had to. His eyes were closed the whole time as it was.
Joe figured she'd look pretty stupid with a bunch of band aides on her arm, but if it'd calm this guy down, she would. "All right. Just stay right here. I'll be right back." She flew to her dorm and got some band aides, and put them on, then changed into a clean white dress.
She flew back and knelt next to him again, smiling. "All covered. You can open your eyes now."
Enoch waited patiently with his eyes closed while she was gone. He opened them when she said that he could. "Thank you." He said sheepishly. He stood up.
Joe stood also. She smiled pleasantly. "Welcome." She wasn't exactly sure why he had thanked her, but she only mentally shrugged and went along with it. "You gonna be okay?"
Enoch nodded and started walking slowly, hoping she'd walk with him. "Yeah. I'm fine. It's happened alot before." His cheeks turned a little pink. "Thanks again."
Joe shrugged it off, smiling. She walked with him. Hmm...he must have something against the food served at the cafeteria..."Want to go to the city to eat?" She suggested.
