Enoch walked down the hall. He didn't realize how boring things could be when one was scared of everything. He didn't want to go outside, because there might be cats or chickens. He didn't want to go to the roof for fear of getting scratched by something. He couldn't go to the third floor, because it was dark there. He wouldn't go anywhere near the hospital wing, because there were sure to be needles or other pointy things. And he couldn't go to the classrooms in case there were flutes.
His stomach started growling. He wandered into the cafeteria, his orange cat ears twitching slightly. He took a deep breath, hoping that there wouldn't be chicken or peanut butter.
