MEEP!

Enoch walked down the hall. He didn't realize how boring things could be when one was scared of everything. He didn't want to go outside, because there might be cats or chickens. He didn't want to go to the roof for fear of getting scratched by something. He couldn't go to the third floor, because it was dark there. He wouldn't go anywhere near the hospital wing, because there were sure to be needles or other pointy things. And he couldn't go to the classrooms in case there were flutes.

His stomach started growling. He wandered into the cafeteria, his orange cat ears twitching slightly. He took a deep breath, hoping that there wouldn't be chicken or peanut butter.

Joe entered the cafeteria singing a song she had just made up. "Gotta remember and write this all down." Of course, she would remember every last word and note for the rest of her life, but she still liked writing them down.

Still singing the song, she got in line to get food. Seeing that the food for the day was fried chicken and peanut butter and jelly. She smiled. A boy with orange cat ears entered and being the outgoing person she was, Joe smiled and waved.

Enoch smiled and waved back. He got in line. When he saw what the food was, he went pale and started taking quick, shallow breaths. His hands started shaking and he dropped his tray. This was bad. Very, very bad.

Two of the things that he was scared of most, and in one place too. He closed his eyes and kept hyperventilating.

Joe noticed the boy was acting quite strange and walked over. She placed a hand on his arm and looked up at him, concern writen all over her face. "You alright?" She questioned.

Enoch shook his head. "N-no...chicken...and peanut butter..." He started shaking worse, and slowly transformed into a cat. The cat mewed and started running around in circles. It looked like it was chasing it's tail, but it wasn't really.

Joe stared at him in shock. "A....cat..." She muttered, trying to understand what had just happened. Without asking him, she picked him--the cat--up and carried him out of the cafeteria.

"DON'T SAY CAT!" Enoch screeched. It squirmed, trying to get free, but in the process, he scratched Joe's arm. If he had been in his human form, he would have gone pale, but he didn't. He jumped out of her arms and ran away.

Mindless of fact that trickles of blood were now rolling down her arm, Joe ran after him. "Where are you going?" She called after him.

Enoch looked over his shoulder as he ran. He saw the blood rolling down her arm, and he promptly fainted. He slowly began to morph back into a human.

Joe froze, then got on both knees beside him. She would have picked the poor cat up, but slowly he began changing back into a one hundred-something pound teenage boy, and she shook her head. Naw. Rather not get hurt today. She thought, not remembering about her arm.

She put a hand on the boys shoulder and shook him. "You alright?" She asked for the second time that day.
