"I didn't take any pictures!" Jasmine sputtered in disbelief, her face going so red that her ears started to change hue as well. She stumbled over her words some more and corrected slightly, "I didn't take any pictures of you. That's gross and weird. And I'm not even, like, like that."

Jazz was feeling defensive, like biting back, but she held her ground a little. She didn't want to force a bad situation to get worse. "I'll just leave, okay? You can keep the camera. Get the photos developed to prove it. Just..." She didn't know how to finish her sentence. Yeah, the black bar definitely made it worse. Drew attention to the fact that Maddie was topless in front of her. Jasmine thought to the brief glimpse she had gotten of the other girl before the censor had gone up. No wait that was weird. Don't do that. She shook her head. "Can we just. Do that and call it even?"

Through Jasmine's entire explanation, Madeline just glared at her. Aside from the moment she spent putting her shirt on, after which the black censor bars disappeared. Then it was back to glaring. Considering. The photos probably didn't have her nudes on them, or anything Jasmine was terrified of Madeline knowing about. She also didn't want to pay someone to get them developed.

She was getting the idea that, maybe, Jasmine wasn't the enemy here. She did say that her 'friend' told her that this was the right room. Maybe she wasn't lying - maybe she'd been tricked. It wasn't like she had lie detection powers, though she had pretended to before.

She exhaled. Her gaze softened a little - but only a little. It helped that she was wearing a shirt now. "You can keep the camera," Madeline said. "But... you've gotta tell me who said this is their room."

And Jasmine's heart was back in her throat. Fortunately Madeline had put her damn shirt back on, so that bit of distraction was gone. But now she had to really think about what to say to her next question. She couldn't just blurt out a name; that would backfire hilariously badly. And who knew what Maddie might do if she did say one of her friends' names. She couldn't get them in trouble.

Jasmine's eyes cut down to the floor, uncertain. She just needed to lie. Admit that she had lied but lie again. It'd be more believable that way. But what lie? She racked her brain, biting down on her lip like she as trying to make a decision. Because she was.

"Okay fine. I did know this was your room, Maddie. And maybe I... am kinda... that way." Oh god why was that the thing she jumped to. Jasmine buried her face in her hand, too embarrassed to actually look at the other girl right then and there. What if this got out? What if Eric heard and believed it? She'd never live it down.

"I didn't take any pictures of you, I swear. But I was... I dunno. Stupid. Just stupid. Sorry. Sorrysorrysorry."

Madeline froze up for a second, trying to process this.

"W-well, um, first of all, I have a boyfriend. I mean. What the fuck? You don't just break into someone's room like this because you're gay for them."

She was short circuiting. She wasn't sure what she was supposed to do or say at this point. But she definitely didn't like what was happening here. Jasmine was really creeping her out, and it showed in Maddie's face.
