Exam time for players!
Odds and Ends
This last month went by fast! As usual for SA, we're seeing reduced levels of activity as people crunch through midterms, final exams, and final projects. As such, we're taking it pretty easy in the month of may, with more coming near the end than the beginning.
We are currently not accepting non-critical bug reports on skins other than Twilight and Xenith. You can report Twilight/Xenith bugs in the Bug Report thread.
School Schedule
As a general reminder, the school schedule is consistent from year to year. May 20th is the end of third quarter, and spring break runs until May 31st, at which point the new school quarter begins.
Lilac Music Festival
Spring is in full swing and the lilacs are in bloom. That means that it's time again for the Lilac Music Festival. Oceania Park is turned into the festival grounds for a week, with booths and stalls offering games, food, and other goodies from local artists and businesses.
A stage dominates the center of the festival, letting musicians from all over Manta Carlos come together to show off. At the end of the week is the parade, which makes a circuit around the park. Come out, have a good time, and enjoy the refreshing spring air.

Vocab Context
Coming up later this month is the vocab contest! First run last year, this contest was hugely successful. We're going to be doing more of these moving forward, and each one will have a new theme! The theme itself will be announced with the mid-month announcements, and the vocab contest will run between May 20th and 30th.
Spotlights
Congratulations to our spotlight winners! All winners should PM Kyros to claim their cbox name colors.
Saberteck: @Saberteck has been a constant presence in the cbox, so it's no surprise to see him taking his place as our spotlight member this month! Saber's always quick to welcome new members, and always a friendly face in the cbox. They've got a large cast of characters, and they're always willing to lend a hand if someone needs help.
Desmond Reynolds: Though some may know Desmond as the 'moth hobo man', he has a unique place in the hearts of many characters and members alike. Through his bold statements and friendly mooch like qualities, he stands out from the stereotypical street man. Desmond has seen a lot of character transition, causing him to literally grow into a new life full of possibilities and challenges. He's a strong character, compliments by the bonds that he makes with others. He is admired by many and has a special place on SA, and is written by the wonderful @Lazzy.
Klef and James: This plot comes together with Klef and James forging a heartwarming friendship and facing their new life on the island with each other as support. A few bumps in the road have appeared for them, and recently, with both of them getting sick with the March virus but they continue to push through with each other, side by side. And from what we're hearing, @Saberteck and @Ballerina have a few more things in store to put their relationship to the test!
We had a great turnout for spotlights this month, both in nominations and voting! Be sure to nominate over in the May nomination thread!
