It hadn't taken long after the announcement that the tsunami was expected to make landfall for the school to jump into action. Teachers were running everywhere, and things had become more and more hectic as they tried to figure out where they were going.

Enelen, of all people, had put a stop to it.

He had the ability to teleport people en-masse. That was what he did, what he'd always done. Teleportation was his specialization, his focus. It was what he'd studied for, what he'd lived for. He had not become a high mage for his ability in education magic, but for his teleportation capabilities.

So he'd started teleporting.

His first action had been to grab several teachers and send them off to find a good location. When they'd found one, he'd grabbed his younger self by the scruff of his neck, teleported there himself, and had him set up a teleportation spot of his own.

Then, he'd returned to the school and started teleporting anyone who showed up to safety. For him, it was relatively easy - he could siphon magic off those he was teleporting, leaving the teleported feeling slightly more tired than usual, but not exhausted. As more people showed up, it became an even grander display - from sending them off in ones and twos to teleporting anyone who stepped in an increasingly widening circle.

He wasn't going to stop until the school was downright emptied.

Claire hadn't ever thought that the day would come where the water would fight back against this island. There had been so many things that she had witnessed after being on the island for so long. It was as if the gods and the waters knew that she wanted this. Water wouldn't scare her out of any situation. She was water, or at least she wanted to think that she was. Even though she was a student, which meant that she should be evacuating the school, she had come back to in hopes help in any way she could. It would be any minute now though, that someone would be coming up to her and throwing her into some group to wait for the wild water to be over. As if. As she huffed a large breath, she wondered and hoped that most people had already gotten out of harms way, the people that of course didn't have such well placed powers as her.

Thanks to her large wolf companion, Attel, she had gotten out some of her friends, so go on top of a rather large rock with Attel protecting them. It hadn't helped much. A few people wouldn't make a difference if some people were lost of scared. he would help any way she could, she knew she had to. As Claire gripped tightly onto her shirt, she pondered the thought that she would be swallowed up, doing something as reckless as thinking that she could help with her powers. As she was about ready to get out of the school, a figure came into her sight at the end of the long hallway. Was it a student? No, they looked too confident, not afraid of the panic that most would feel. "Hellllloooooo!" She said, cupping her mouth to make her voice go further. Moving towards that person at a slow pace, she wanted to make sure that she wasn't going to put herself in danger by accidentally going towards someone that didn't need help.

Someone was calling for him, and Enelen turned, eyes fixing on the figure. A young girl, in highschool if he had to guess. He turned in place, shaking out his free hand as the other clutched the staff at his side.

"Yes?" For the most part, Enelen was ignorant of the worst of what was happening. He was focused on evacuating those that needed it, and he'd yet to hear anything about the bodies that had been found within the school. He saw no real need to panic, not with another hour or so until the tsunami itself hit. It was unproductive to worry about that sort of thing, and considering his specialization was teleportation, he didn't really feel he was in any danger at all.

"Are you evacuating, or are you one of those who are choosing to stay?" That was an option, with some opting to bunker down, but he knew which of the two options he preferred. One threw the wrath of nature against magic, and one threw nature versus nature... but in a case where the wrath of nature itself was almost definitely magic, it seemed far easier to simply get out of the way, rather than trusting shields and barriers.

She moved closer, seeing that it was safe enough to get to a better distance. It was a bit embarrassing to think that she had yelled so loudly, considering they were not that far away. Another stupid move. It seemed she was making a lot of those as of late. She stiffened her fists to her sides as she approached him. Claire was at least thankful that there were no massive waves down the hallway that was near them. Even if that did happen, she had faith that their combined powers would leave them unscathed. She was a lot better with her powers from when she first got to Manta Carlos.

"I wanted to help." Was all that seemed to come out of her mouth as she stared at the older man. Though she should have evacuated and not to be caugt in the crossfire, she wanted to help. Claire didn't like the idea of anyone dying from something she could mostly control. After a few seconds, she realized that it was not the answer he was looking for. "Staying to help get people to safety." Claire added on. wondering how much time they had left. "Do you need any?" She implied, wanting to know if she was even needed at the school anymore.

Ahh, a student eager to help. He could have used a lot more of those, but he could do with one.

"I've already evacuated a large group of students and faculty to an evacuation site in the mountains. Ideally, what I need is for someone to gather up more students so that I can evacuate them - at the moment, things are unfortunately disorganized." And they would get worse before they got better. The islands had faced disasters before, but nothing on this scale had happened in recent memory. The island was supposed to be protected, and yet the magic had still failed.

It was strange to realize that, but even stranger not to have time to inspect. He would have to look himself, to inspect the wards that were supposed to protect the island. If they had failed, it was possible that others would fail as well. The island was too dependant on magic to ignore the potential issue.

"I hope you're well equipped to protect yourself - if not, I'll have to insist on sending you off to the refuge."

"I got it." Her instructions were crystal clear, though actually doing what was needed seemed like a different problem. It would be rather easy to find and round up people; it was actually getting them to safety she was worried about. People that thought they would be safe just hiding in their rooms, or students that had priced possessions in their rooms. Claire thought of that as pathetic. As the tsunami wasn't flooding the hallways yet, it was easy to bring important pieces with them. At the very least, taking a picture of it and wishing it goodbye. Stuff could be bought, it was lives that weren't as easy to get again, even with all the powers this island had put together.

"I feel as if I am well equipped, though your assistance may be needed." Whatever his powers were that is. For all she knew, the man before her could be a pickle flipper or a transforming sandwich. "I am able to manipulate water sir, so if the tsunami does hit anytime soon, I should be able to hold it off for a short time. I would at least be able to redirect it until everyone was safe." Claire didn't bother mentioning her other powers as they would be of little to no use.

Ahh, so a water manipulator? That could be both extremely useful and extremely risky. It was the sort of power that made people do risky, risky things with. Things like 'trying to stand up to a tsunami'. Of course, he had absolutely no idea the scale of her powers, but he couldn't imagine that very many students would be able to do anything against a tsunami. Maybe part the initial wave? But that would still leave plenty of other water, which would inevitably flood the area before slowly draining back out.

"Well, lets hope it doesn't come to that. I can set up a teleportation circle the moment we can clearly see the tsunami, and get both of us out as needed." There wasn't really much actual preparation for it - the circle was mostly in his head, with a little bit of it being in the gestures he made. Especially if it was just the two of them.
@Claire - we want to snag someone else in?

"Sounds good." The idea of teleporting excited her, plastering a grim smile on her lips. Even in these circumstances, she still wanted to try out new things. She wouldn't ask any questions though, as that could be saved for another time. There was no use in useless information. As long as he could get them both out before they became forced fishes, she was cool with whatever method he needed.

"Do you want to spilt up?" That idea kind of made her uneasy, as even though the halls nearby were rather airy, there was no guarantee that they would be able to hear each other or communicate. She looked around, to the left, the right, up, to the ground. "If so, this is our marker." Claire pointed to a red marker stain on the wall behind her. "We meet up here if we get separated." It was an easy plan for a worst case scenario. The last thing either of them wanted as to be left behind.

@Thoth - if we can get someone else in here that would be great. ^^

Even in an emergency situation, Enelen was calm. In truth, the entire situation was all too familiar to him. He'd already suffered through the exact thing, only on a much longer and more devastating scale. People would die, yes, but in the end it would be nothing compared to the death of magic.

"No - we should stay together. The chances of us becoming unable to find each other quickly are simply too high, and there's no way of telling exactly when the wave will hit." It could be hours, or it could be no time at all. Magical Tsunamis were not exactly known for their predictability.

"Together, until the wave gets too close. I'd prefer to be out of here before it even reaches land." Even if it would take time to reach the school from hitting the shores. He was the kind of person who would rather be somewhere thirty minutes early then risk being five minutes late.
@Claire - I'll see if I can snag someone else!

"Okay, together it is." It was one of those lines that you wanted to lock arms afterwards and go on some epic adventure. Their epic adventure as not dying horribly. Maybe in the future they would meet up and actually go on an adventure. Good enough.

"I agree yes, I don't want to be here any longer that we need to be." Claire nodded, staring over at the man. "Do you have any idea where to go next? The school is rather large and I don't want to accidently miss someone." She wished that now her powers worked with humans too, or if she had some radius of where students were.
