@ Dragon Mask with Black Tux
"Ummm... yeah I honestly thought that was going end with one of us falling on the floor" admitted Nyota as she sheepishly rubbed the back of her neck with her right hand now that the dance was over.
"Me? Nervous! Not at all~ I have nothing to be worried about ha haa ha ha!" laughed Nyota, more of a lie to herself than it was to to boy she had just danced with.
"Maybe we can- oh? Err... yeah. Good night nerd."
As he left, Nyota sighed... she kinda wanted stay with him just wee bit longer but oh well. With her masked man now slinking back into the faceless crowd, Nyota found herself all alone amidst a sea of masked strangers. She was contemplated about returning to the punch bowl when she could make out a familiar voice from the crowd.
@James/Shadow
"Huh!? Oh! Ha haa ha! Damn right I am... beautiful as fuck. Anyway, whats up dork?"
Nyota grinned widely from cheek to cheek, standing confidently now that she was with someone she could recognize. James didn't look to shabby himself, not the fanciest gentleman on the ballroom floor but at least it looked like he was suppose to be here. Nyota raised an eyebrow at the offered hand but took hand regardless. After all, they were friends.
"Yeah... neither am I. On days like this I would be in my pajamas watching TV eating cheetos. Actually... on this night in particular I would probably be trick or treating I guess. But yes, lets get our boogie on now hrmmm?"
Nyota was far more comfortable dancing with James and the boy in the dragon mask earlier, partially because James already knew who she was and partially because he doesn't make her legs feel like noodles like how the other boy made her feel. Their skills with dance was nothing of note really, a step to the left and a step to the right but at least the two of them were in sync with each other. Nyota was rarely looked down at her feet when dancing with James, most of her attention was at looking at her dance partner's face.
"Sooo... you wanted to have a word?" inquired Nyota, looking at him expectantly.
