"That it does," said the hatted woman with a smile. "Both actually, I am a highschooler at Starlight Academy and a gardener at Tranquility Water Gardens and Day Spa. I simply love working outside surrounded by nature." She said, glowing with delight. "But a bookseller, what an interesting profession. I must take my roommate to your store sometime. She loves books, I don't think I've ever seen her without one."

"Ah? At the spa? How interesting! I've never been there myself," the veiled man said. "Although I don't suppose you would see many of my sort around nice places like that." He was rather used to being called a creep. Not that it wasn't entirely true. It was just. He liked to help. A lot. In ways.

"It's a little shop downtown," he replied to her. "Two stories, we -my assistants and I- live on the third. We were very fortunate; the last owner and I had a good relationship and when he returned home to Greece, the shop became entirely mine. I don't suppose you've heard of it, it's rather out of the way."

Lucan Abernathy

Lucan continued to wander about the hall, sipping his punch, seeing if there was anyone he could dance with. He hasn't spotted anyone he knew, well Elisa was here, but they'd agreed to dance with others first and meet up later.

Finally he'd spot someone he knew, "Thomasin?" he'd step over to her, smiling, "hey, it's good to see you." He'd been steadily meeting people and was happy she was one of them, "you look good."

"Well you should come around sometime, we take all sorts," the hatted women touched the veiled man's arm as she spoke, hoping to make him feel more at ease. "Afterall, I will most certainly be coming by your little shop downtown soon, so it's only fair if you check out the gardens, if you can?"

She stepped in silently but surely, and she adjusted her black leather mask to make sure it covered her face properly. She barely knew anyone on the island but she enjoyed the anonymity and didn't want to ruin it. It was a thrill she wanted to prolong.
She was wearing a fairly simple outfit, with a black and grey waist coat vest and white dress shirt. It fit snugly and hugged her curves, and so did her black pants. Her gender was no surprise to anyone looking, unless they were blind. Then they might be confused, since her voice was pretty low and throaty.
The most noticeable part of her costume, however, was the rather flashy top hat with a silk veil, that fell down on her back and sides and reached almost her hips. Her long hair was gathered tightly on a bun, that was under said top hat.

She looked around the ballroom, and her eyes looked at everything with slight interest. But her expression remained indifferent, and her red lips didn't from the resting bitch face she had. She wasn't one to initiate conversation, not without a reason, so she pulled her top hat down a bit and with a flutter of a veil she slipped to the sides of a room, assessing the situation in the room. She saw some of the costumes, and smirk fluttered on her lips. At least she could get a laugh from some ball shenanigans if she was lucky.

"Yes yes yes yes." Swallowtail led Princess Smolder to the dance floor. Only now did they notice the dramatic height difference between them and the princess. To solve this, Swallowtail stood on the tips of their toes like a graceful ballerina trying to impress their partner.

Swallowtail proved to be excellent at dancing as their movements flowed like the calm ocean. If not for the height difference and the crowded ballroom, it would have been much easier for them to perform impressing feats.

"Do you dance a lot, Princess Smolder?" Swallowtail asked, still trying to decide who should take the lead.

"Well, would you look at that?" Lady Heavenly murmured softly to herself and then smiled as she spotted Swallowtail dancing with somebody. Obviously they had found somebody to make friends with. That made her happy to see, she was glad that her lovely little butterfly was spreading their wings.

Watching them for a bit, Lady Heavenly moved then off the crowded dance floor to continue, but discretely, keeping her eye on Swallowtail and their friend and to make sure they were fine.

The kid seemed used to the dancing, with their tiptoes and fluid movements, and Ava felt a bit clumsy while trying to imitate their and the other dancers' movements. If Prince Swallowtail allowed it Ava would try to take the lead, being more like a support for their dancing, spinning them and leading them across the floor.

"Nah, Prince Swallowtail, I don't dance at all. I'm more of a warrior princess, protecting the innocents and defeating the bad guys."
Ava grinned, this princess analogy was fun, and kinda ironic since she was a dragon and dragons were supposed to kidnap princesses to their lairs.
"I leave the dancing to fancy people like you."

“I apologize for surprising you, however the chances of escape would rise significantly if I had not activated stealth protocols.” the android apologized.

“ It isn’t good to lie though. Further obstructions may not be as easily glanced over as this one.” Sasha said bluntly, making sure to review the footage her eyes had recorded to confirm the legitimacy of the claim. On top of this, she was using her hand to measure the masked individuals heart rate.

“Now, please return the stolen silverware.”

He shifted a bit but the hatted woman needn't have bothered. The veiled man could feel her desire for his own comfort well and responded to that with a light-hearted chuckle. "You're a very kind girl, aren't you, miss?" he said, smiling behind his veil. "Well, you're welcome at the Delphi any time. I hope you think kindly of us. My assistants are a bit reclusive but nice in their own ways."
