Maria and Sebastian [SCIENCE CLASS]

'Today is fine with me.', she said, frowning at her drawing of the cat, erasing the lower half, only to start again, drawing almost absentmindedly, as she checked her schedule for today again. 'Yeah, today would be perfect, as the school ends at 12:30 and I don't have additional classes, today.' The cat turned out a bit better this time, though it still made Maria frown at it. It didn't look quite good enough. In the end, she sighed, tearing the page out of the notebook, and throwing it in the bin, before locking her eyes with Sebastian's.

'What about you?', she guessed he also had none of the additional classes as he was the one who suggested meeting today in the first place, but still wanted to check for the good measure, though Sebastian didn't seem to type to forget important things...

'If you want, we could eat something in the cafeteria before heading out, and work on it for a few hours just to get started. There's nothing much we can do today but Google some info, and write down the initial observation of the specimen anyway.'

Sebastian was glad to hear his partner talk about the project confidently. Even though there was little information given, she was able to sort out a plan. It seemed like they would indeed be going to his house today. There was even going to be a chance to grab lunch. Although he was fairly talented when it came to cooking, it would awkward to cook for a girl on the first day when it was simply a project meeting. He also didn't have anything to simply much on aside from vegetables which he had precut for meals and snacks. This too was a fact which would be a little weird to reveal one the first day of meeting one another. Sabrina had always been 'kind' enough to point out how bizarre it was. None the less, she never seemed to pester him when the food was being served. He repressed an eye roll at the thought of his sister.

" That sounds perfect. I don't have much food to snack on at home. Shall we head down to the cafeteria now? The teacher and the others don't appear to be participating in anything educational." He looked around as he spoke. He hoped he didn't offend any of his classmates.

He packed the remainder of his books into his side strap bag. Instead of putting it over his shoulder he waited to gauge Maria's reaction. She had been frowning earlier, but it seemed to be in regards to her drawing. Silently he hoped that she was also prepared to leave slightly early. He would look rather silly for the third or fourth time, if she wasn't.

Maria looked at the teacher, and thought about asking for permission first, until she saw the two students that were called first simply walking out of the room. Nodding her head to Sebastian, she quickly packed all of her things in the bad, going back to her initial seat just to check that she hadn't forgotten anything, before heading for the door.

Come on, let's go. she said, calling to him as if it wasn't him who had just suggested leaving early because lunch was about to start for the students who (like them) finished their lessons early, and she really wanted to avoid the crowd that would soon form in there. Carrying the microscope around will be a little awkward as they would have to be really careful not to break it or anything, but she was sure they would manage somehow. Perhaps she could offer to carry Sebastian's bag for him, seeing that he was also carrying all of the supplies. Thinking that was only fair, she offered it to him a second later.

His ears twitched as he watched maria return to her seat. He wasn't quite sure what she was doing until, it became obvious that she was checking around the area.

She beckoned him as she moved her way to the door. It was all starting, but stepping out of the classroom would be the first step. He would be walking through the doors with a female student in a manner that would normally be reserved for friends. Even though it was simply lunch, he felt the excited and nerves run through his body.
(should we be going to the cafeteria or hallway?)
