Rules and Reminders
No major rules changes have taken place, but we've got a few small changes and a few reminders to go through!
NSFW threads are now 'mature' threads. This doesn't change anything about them, but the wording now makes it more clear exactly what they entail.
With that in mind comes our monthly reminder that we are very serious about the age rules on site. The age on your profile must be your real age. If you are caught lying about your age to view NSFW threads, you will be banned. If you are currently lying about your age, you need to contact Kyros immediately.
NPC restoration should now be done in mod requests. This is also where archive requests should go.
As a general reminder, the ICC is intended to be inclusive and open to all people. If your plotting or character actions are ever setting up a situation where someone might not feel comfortable 'interrupting', it's probably worth considering how you could avoid that in the future. We've seen an uptick in PDA recently, and while a bit of PDA is fine, remember that the ICC is for everyone!
Elections
The student council elections are over, and we had an amazing turnout! On the last day of the elections we reached a whopping 409 posts, which is the highest post count in a single day that SA has had in more then ten years!

Treasurer: A'laya the Serpent
Secretary: Phoenix "Nix" Jamston
You can expect to see some plotting and nods to the student council coming soon!
Application Improvement Month
Every September, SA hosts Character Creation Month to encourage players to dust off those WIP profiles they've been sitting on and finish them up. Starting this year, we're hosting a new annual month: Application Improvement Month! Rather than focusing on making new characters, AIM focuses on touching up apps for characters you already have, and making sure they have all the most up to date info.

March Mystery Event
What's happening? Why, no one knows! Watch the events forum for a series of events (both thread and ICC) that lead into our new march mystery event!
The first sign of what's to come is the City Hall Party, running March 1st-3rd in the canon ICC!
Spotlights
Congratulations to our spotlight winners!
Vinny: @Vinny has been a positive cbox presence and a proactive plotter, reaching out to other players to get things started. They've put together a great plot with Inky that is almost an event in itself, and creation of the Premier Youth Club has added a great new spin on the site and setting.
Dalia Tor: Dalia is a sweet and precious babby who is roleplayed magnificiently by @Kadakism. He puts a lot of thought into her mannerisms and her journey, and it's fun to watch her group up into a young preteen. Struggling with her self-identity and self-loathing. Dalia is blossoming into her own unique person over time, right before our eyes.
Emily & Seiken's Ship: @Kyros and @Heart have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into playing out the IC relationship between Emily and Seiken. It is both emotionally complicated and well-executed. They've gotten together, broken up, gotten back together, gotten engaged, and it's a delight to follow along. The ship is an absolute mess, and I have every expectation that by the time this announcement gets posted their relationship status will have changed yet again.
We had a great turnout for spotlights this month, both in nominations and voting! Be sure to nominate over in the march nominations thread!
