Vladimir nodded in quiet understanding. He could now guess what might have happened, at least in part. The eyes were still somewhat of a mystery, he had to admit.

"It's not very common, but if you were turned on a full moon, or shortly before or after, the process can be reversed. Nobody really knows why it happens. I have only seen two or three cases over the years," he said, sympathizing with Milo's plight.

"I... can't say for sure because I wasn't exactly conscious when it happened. Still I thought most wolves stuck around after they turned people, took them into their packs. They just left me... like this," there was a hint of bitterness in his tone. He'd spent years he should have been in school making friends hiding in the woods. It wasn't until scouts found him that he was able to get any normalcy.

"Like I said, I just want to know what's going on with me, and if I can do anything about it."

Vladimir refrained from comment, but the fact Milo had been abandoned after he had been turned left a sour note in his mouth. Vlad had come across one too many vampires and weres that had been left on their own. It always seemed a rather callous thing to do in his opinion.

"Well, we can try a few things that might work," Vladimir said with a nod. "At least with the shifting part," he clarified.

"The eye part leaves me a little mystified. I can only think that whoever changed you might have been part insect and had compound eyes," he said, thinking the trait may have been passed on to Milo even if the other werewolf did not demonstrate signs of it themselves.

Milo generally let his eyes more or less sit still and focus on nothing, and everything most of the time. He nodded when Vladimir said they'd find things to help with his shifting. Of course he'd do his best there. It was when the idea that the person might have been part insect and passed those traits onto him that his eyes all locked onto Vlad. Every single one of them were firmly focused, and the gaze was inescapable to say the least.

"You think a bug werewolf did this?" he sounded thoughtful. He'd never even considered that before. "Wouldn't my eyes be more... buggy then? I look like I just went and ripped out some people's eyes and stuck them to my hips like... a weirdo."

"In theory, maybe..." Vladimir conceded, knowing that lycanthropy was not widely studied or known by most people, and a lot of misconceptions still existed.

"Though in my experience with "weres" not all traits are inherited the same way. The major ones, for example, the wolf trait," here Vladimir sat up straighter. "Well, it stays mainly unmodified, but any smaller or less dominant ones that are inherited along with it are often modified by the recipient's own physiology."

"Basically that means that whoever transformed you could have been part insect or had similar traits to an insect somewhere in their DNA. And when they passed on the "were" in them to you, your own body could have adapted them," he explained.

Milo nodded, that did make some sense. Maybe if he could figure out how he changed he could get rid of some of the extra eyes. That was his most distinct feature. "Well I guess there's only one way to know for sure huh?"

He was ready for whatever tests and scans were likely in store for him. Milo had no idea what to expect in terms of results, but he was determined to get answers for himself. "Well I'm willing to do whatever needs doing."

Vladimir just nodded at Milo's willingness to find out what was wrong and took out another pad. This one was full of the possible standard tests available, and Vlad checked the appropriate boxes and filled in Milo's details.

"We are going to start with a simple DNA test and some bloodwork," he explained as he slid the requisition slip over to Milo.

"That should give us an idea of what strains of non-human DNA are present and from there, hopefully, we should be able to formulate an individualized treatment plan for you," Vladimir said as he looked at Milo with a practiced, yet encouraging smile. Vladimir was pretty confident that the tests would reveal what was ailing Milo.

Milo nodded, there wasn't really much to say to that. He had no idea what the results of his testing would be, but Vladimir seemed confident. In spite of that he did cringe a bit internally. It had been forever since he'd been to a doctor and well... Milo hated needles. It was kind of ironic considering he'd been a monster's food for an extended period.

As for dna it wasn't like Vlad didn't have options there. Swab his mouth, pluck some fur. Milo didn't really shed a ton, but there was probably some hair that had fallen off even. The wolf sighed, and held out his arm, for the blood test.

"I used to just be able to look away for this part but well... I have a lot of eyes now," he joked, mostly to calm his own nerves.

"Don't worry, it'll be over in the blink of an eye," Vladimir joked as he got up and took out a package with a syringe, an alcohol swab, and a rubber tie from a drawer. Then he deftly proceeded to take a vial of Milo's blood.

"All done," he said with a satisfied grin not more than two minutes later as he slapped a bandaid on Milo's arm. Vladimir had learned to take blood from one of the best phlebotomists at the hospital. Quick, efficient and hopefully as pain-free as possible.

"We can take the DNA from this sample," he informed him as Vlad labelled the vial.

"Okay, we are all done here. I will call the hospital and we will set you up to do some X-rays and a CT scan. Then we can schedule a follow up for next week, if that's okay with you?" Vladimir said as he looked at Milo questioningly.
