Sasha had taken to leaning against walls. It was particularly entertaining now that he had a cell phone – an old flip thing, but more than functional – and a set of clothes that wasn’t completely tattered. It was just a good shirt and jeans – but it was new, and that was what mattered.
The particular wall he was leaning on was by the entrance of the Starlight Academy. He got a few odd looks – of course he would, loitering like this – but he gave the same answer to everyone who asked about it – “I’m waiting for someone.â€Â
They left him alone for now, and Leeroy was almost at the door, so it shouldn’t be much a problem.
Leeroy had never told him his name, but it didn’t matter. Sasha had overheard it in one of his conversations. He’d been watching the man for a while now – maybe a few days.
It wasn’t his fault he didn’t have anything better to do, Sasha reasoned. Besides, maybe Niccolo would like him.
