Kueria was facing a little bit of a predicament; something like an identity crisis. Fragments of her memory have come and gone, leaving the girl desperately attempting to piece together their shattered remains. As her phone lit up with notifications from Eein once again, she didn't know how to respond a part of her didn't want to put up a false facade and another part wasn't even sure if she was wearing a facade to begin with. Regardless, lunch was something that she simply could not turn down. An hour before the clock struck noon, the bird leaped off her window pane and flew towards the glamour of Manta Carlos city.

Crowds roamed meandering streets as individual discussions all faded into the bustling white noise of city life. Kueria quickly morphed back into a fae to squeeze herself through the masses as she tightly wrapped her wings around her petite frame. The sheer volume everything was disorienting, however, the girl couldn't afford to zone out. She had one job and one job only - find the restaurant.

Stumbling into a rather deserted ally, she took a slow, long inhale. She had escaped the crowds but she seemed to have taken a slight detour on her quest. Alas, she had to find help, again. Eventually, with a few kind bird's guidance, she made it but by then she was a good fifteen minutes late. Once she found her friend, she quickly bowed in apology as she exclaimed:

"Kueria's so sorry she was late, there were so many people and she got lost..."

He'd look over at her, a concerned look on his face. "Its alright," he'd stand, stepping over to her, "are you ok?" She looked a bit stressed, the walk herr must have been rough. "Next time text or call and I'll come find you," he'd say with a reassuring smile before leading her to the table.

"I got us a few appetizer," chicken wings and garlic bread sticks to be exact. "The waitress should be along to get your drink order soon." He'd take his seat, offering her a smile.

"I'll make sure to fly you home after lunch," he was a bit worried about her now, didn't want her potentially getting lost again or even hurt.

There were weird jolts like sparks running from her chest to her fingertips as begun to talk to her friend. "Kueria is good! The crowds were confusing but she's very happy she made it in the end! How was Eein's journey here?"

Next time text or call and I'll come find you

Plopping herself down opposite to Eein, the rose tint on cheeks intensified ever so slightly. She nodded her head as enthusiastically as she could muster. A part of her knew she wouldn't go so far as to trouble her friend but she thought it was best to simply agree for now. "Thanks so much for ordering! Kueria is very excited to try restaurant food. Has Eein eaten here before?"

I'll make sure to fly you home after lunch

The girl fidgeted in her place, her fingers idly fiddling with the utensils provided in an attempt to conceal her slight blush. She'd already heard that Eein was together with a faun or a succubus else called Kaya? Perhaps she could confirm these rumours later but for now, even a naive bird like her knew she shouldn't overstep boundaries. "Eein is too kind! Once Kueria knows her way around, she can fly Eein home!"

Skimming through the menu, she found herself at a loss of what to order. Absolutely dumbfounded, she simply looked up in a daze for a good few seconds before asking: "Eein... what should Kueria order? There are too many options!"

"Well I flew most of the way," he'd say with a tiny chuckle. "Moving through the city can be a bit of a pain sometimes," he'd eat a breadstick munching on it as they talked. "Makes getting around the crowds easier."

He'd shake his head. "My first time here too, so we'll be trying it together," he'd say with a smile. "Once were done with the appetizers we can order the main course," he'd take a sip of his drink. "Maybe we can see if their fish is as good as mine," he'd say with a tiny chuckle.

The dragon would look down at the menu. "Oh, maybe the spiced beef and vegetables?" he'd suggest, "that looks pretty good." He'd flip through the menu, "there's also the spicy porkschops."

Kueria sharing a first experience with Eein? Well, this was almost unimaginable to the bird. Perking up, she couldn't help but exclaim: "It's Eein's first time eating here too? Thats so cool! Kueria is super excited for lunch now!"

Reaching out, she too took a breadstick and shoved it in her mouth but before she finished properly chewing her food, she mumbled "Kueria doesn't think anything will taste better than Eein's cooking! Eein's cooking already tastes so nice!" Swallowing her food, she then puffed out her cheeks and ended her speech with a slight pout as she continued to browse through the menu.

Letting out a light hum, she began to talk mostly to herself than anyone else. "Spicy... hmm Kueria doesn't know what spicy is..." Glancing up once she finally came to her conclusion, she proudly stated: "Kueria will try the spicy pork chops! What will Eein eat?"

He'd chuckle. "Well I'm happy you like my cooking," he'd smile, "I'll have to cook for you more than." He'd take another drink of his soda, "maybe I'll make dinner for you next time?" that did sound nice, he enjoyed cooking for her.

"Hmmm.....," he'd flip through the menu a few more times. "I'm going to get the shrimp pasta," he'd say with a nod. "It looks really good."

The waitress would soon appear and take thsor orders. "So, how's school going?" he'd ask curiously, "classes aren't boring you to badly are they?"

"Dinner sounds good! Kueria would love to cook dinner with Eein soon!" Perhaps she could invite him over to her dorm; being alone does get lonely sometimes and some company never hurts. Remembering the peculiar cookies he gave her, she then exclaimed: "Maybe Kueria and Eein can bake cookies too! Kueria already finished the ones Eein gave her."

how's school going

"School is super fun! Kueria is going to start cooking classes soon!" Pausing, the girl slowly started to zone out as her train of thought completely derailed. She glanced back up at Eein, her lips curled into a dazed smile. A few beats of silence later, she quickly shook her head and snapped herself out of it. "Yes, school uh..." Bringing her palms to her cheeks she lightly gave herself a few audible smacks. "Right the other day Kueria met a Miss! She forgot to ask for her name though. Kueria asked the Miss about Eein and she told Kueria that she thought Eein was..." Would it be okay to ask him about the rumors? The fae wasn't sure if that was considered as being too nosy but nonetheless, she decided she would just voice her inquiries.

"Miss told Kueria Eein might be dating someone called Kaya. Anyway, that was what Kueria heard, how has Eein been doing? Is school fun for him too?"

"We can definitely make cookies," he'd say with a small chuckle. "The ones I made were chocolate chip, we can make more of those or make some different ones." He'd eat another breadstick and down some of his drink.

He'd tilt his head, letting his friend take her time as she tried to find her words. "Wait....what?" he'd raise an eyebrow, "I'm not dating anyone.....Kaya is a friend I suppose but nothing more." He wasn't even sure why she was bringing this up. "But yeah, I'm not dating anyone. You don't remember the name of the girl who told you that?"

Eein considered pushing a little further on the matter but didn't want to make her uncomfortable. "Uh, yeah, school can be fun," he'd say with a nod. "I like studies on nature and anything to do with fighting honestly."

The fact that cookies, what seemed like God's greatest gift to mankind, could have different flavours made the girl's lips curve into a bright beam. Letting out a soft exclamation of awe, she then dazedly voiced: "Cookies can taste different? Kueria really wants to try all kinds of cookies now! Thank you so so so much for letting Kueria try her first cookie!"

She was shocked. When Kueria heard that Eein was taken, she wasn't surprised in the slightest given that he was rather well built, however, hearing that he was actually single definitely wasn't expected. An odd rush of elation trickled to the tips of her fingers as glanced back up at him. "Eein... isn't dating anyone? Has Eein dated anyone before?" She didn't understand why she had the urge to pry further but hoped that she wasn't being too nosy.

Eventually, her shocked expression slowly subsided as she regained her composure. "Kueria was being dumb, she forgot to ask for the Miss' name. But she was very pretty with blond hair!"

I like studies on nature and anything to do with fighting honestly.

"Kueria loves nature too! She really likes geography but the names of everything is very confusing. Maybe Eein and Kueria can spar one day! Kueria hasn't been to the gym or sparring rooms in school and she wants to know what it looks like!"

He'd raise an eyebrow. "I've dated a little in the past, but no, I'm not dating anyone right now," he wasn't sure why they were even talking about this.

"Hey now, forgetting to ask someone their name doesn't make you dumb," he'd say, offering her a smile, "we all forget things sometimes."

"How strong are you in human form?" he'd ask when she said she'd like to spar. "We can see about reserving a sparring room if you'd like," he was excited at the possibility of having a friend he can spar with. "I haven't sparred with anyone, so I think it could be really fun."
