Hearing about Sky's home world was very interesting. She had many questions about the place but Amelia wasn't one to ask a lot of questions, more of an observer than an inquisitor. "I'm sorry to hear about your people."

"I have been here for about seven months now. I just sort of came here by accident," she explained. After her death and being unable to be seen or heard by anyone, she just drifted aimlessly until she was drawn to the island. "I really love this place, though. I really feel at home here."

"I... Yeah. I kinda hope I can feel the same way. I mean, I'm stuck here for now, so I sure as hell hope this place is nice. And trust me, I got over being the last spirit alive a little while ago. And I guess we both accidentally ended up here," Sky grinned, trying to mask the sad smile that had been on his face a second ago. The loneliness occasionally came back, and he just had to put up with it until it left again. It'd been like this for around three decades at this point, and although it was getting more bearable, the feeling was still horrible

"I'm sure you will like it here, the people are nice here. Well, most of them are. Some you have to keep your eye on." It was true that there were some shifty characters on the island but Amelia had never had a run in with one; everyone she had talked to had been welcoming.

He didn't fully convince her that he was over being the last of his kind. No matter how long you had to deal with it, she imagined there was always that sense of lonliness that still lingered. Amelia had been dead just over six years now and that longing to be with her friends and family was still present but she felt that going back to see them now, thanks to her tangability charm, would do more harm than good. "Well, it seems that everyone has been through a lot in this place so you've always got someone to turn to here," she assured him, giving him a smile.

"As always. I mean, nobody's perfect, and in a place where I'm gonna guess that demons are a common sight, I won't exactly be ignored. Having a ton of energy inside a very easily caught vessel can kinda suck sometimes. But yeah you're right. If somebody has ended up here, it can't really be for a good reason. For somebody to want to go to a place disconnected from the rest of the planet, they must have gone through some serious stuff." Again, Sky's eyes closed momentarily, then quickly opened again

"But I guess I'm still, eh, semi-living. Whatever you've gone through has got to be worse than me. I mean, there's nothing worse than death. Sure, if my body gets killed, that's an annoyance. But actually dying? I personally can't imagine something worse than that."

Amelia contemplated this thought. Some of the stories she had heard on the island made her think that there were many things worse than death, things she hoped would never happen to anyone. Besides, there were worse ways to die.

They say that drowning is one of the most peaceful ways to die; gasping for air only to have your lungs filled with liquid was not peaceful in the slightest but she imagined that it wasn't the worse way to end. "Maybe you're right," she replied. Amelia didn't like to tell people that their opinions were wrong because they may only be wrong in her eyes. "I've come to terms with it, though, so it's all good." Leaning her elbow on the table, a thin stream of water danced in between her fingers as the converstion made her remember the events of that evening, quickly realising and turning back with a smile, her hand closed as the water disappeared.

OOC: Sorry I've been gone for a while.
