There were no classes left today for the young demon, Locust. He could now take some time to indulge in his favorrite pastime: eating. Being a child of Beelzebub it was more or less expected for him to have a notably voracious appetite. Hunger that passed normal limits, it was constant but not maddening. The young royal knew how and when to keep his habits in line. Like unfortunately most of his classes seemed to have a policy against eating. Upon asking why he was told that it was either "rude" or a "distraction". That was utter nonsense! He could certainly pay attention to his lessons while eating. He loaded up two trays piled up with food and sat at a table devouring one first then the other within a matter of a few minutes. It wasn't enough, and the cafeteria workers wouldn't let him get any more for a while.
"It's never enough," he mumbled to himself as he dejectedly laid his head on the table. He hadn't been on Earth long, having been sent by his father for some purpose or another. This place was strange. You couldn't just kill people you regarded as a threat or simply irritating. The weaker beings were actually protected by stronger ones as opposed to the well ordered chaos that was his region of hell. His father had already explained Earth customs would be odd to him. And the old man wasn't kidding.
The demon contemplated his next move, if he wanted to try more Earth cuisines he'd have to get some money from his house first. Or he could simply stay at home and eat foods he was more accustomed to. He mumbled some form of gibberish which was drowned out by a loud and distinct stomach rumble. "How am I gonna live if I can't eat like usual?" he grumbled again.
