Private Finished Love Really is Magical

Hazel was glad she would at least introduce her to the place. She'll probably like it, though Lorencia seems easily pleased. Whatever, time to head to the coffee place. As the two of them left the school grounds, Hazel would stop floating, limping next to Lorencia.

"Yeah, I'd imagine the void would be more magical from what you have told me. But that just means you'll get really good at magic then, right? Also, I'm a tailor if you ever need me to make costumes for you." Hazel then reached into her bag, handing a business card to her. It was a bit sad for Hazel to have to look up so high. Why couldn't she be smaller?

"Huh, I guess you're right." Lorencia hadn't really thought of it that way. Devias had always told her about efficiency when using magical energies, and saying she wasn't actually doing well with it, but... it just takes too long to learn new spells in this world. And in the first few months here, she was so easily exhausted from even a few simple spells. Though she guessed that that forced her to be more 'efficient'.

Well now she just couldn't wait to get back home and see how many other mages she could outlast in an exhibition.

Lorencia took Hazel's business card. Was this something people often carry around? While accepting the card, she noticed that Hazel was limping a little. "I'll be sure to come to you if I need anything made then," she said with a chuckle. "But uh, does your leg hurt? You seem to be limping."

Hazel nodded. It made sense that the magic would be stronger in the long run. It'd be really cool if Hazel was able to do the same thing if she went to the void. Assuming she lived, of course. Not a very good track record on coming out well with these things. Actually, would she be allowed into the void in the first place?

"Alright. And uh, no. The limping leg is the, uh, prosthetic leg. It's just awkward to walk on. Anyway, that has my phone number and address on it." Hopefully Lorencia liked some more mundane stuff. She hasn't ever made anything really crazy at all, and it would probably take a few attempts to. Hmm... What kind of costumes would she like anyway? Hope it's not anything suggestive. Though she could fill out anything way better then Hazel could.

Was it rude to ask what happened to her leg? Possibly. Lorencia decided not to ask about that right now, since they just met and all, and she might get turned away for asking something like that. It might have been something personal, or something she didn't want to talk to anyone about. Or maybe it was something she got asked a lot about and would just hate having to answer it again. Maybe best to wait and ask about it when they've been friends for a while.

Lorencia took out her wallet from her back pocket, and tucked the card into it so she wouldn't lose it. It was white, with purple veins that seemed to follow the pattern of the cracks in leather. There was also a tiny trinket, about an inch long, hanging from the lower edge right where the wallet folded in half. The trinket looked like a purple bead, resembling an elongated gem. Something about it would seem strange if someone sensitive to magic were to look at it. "That should be safe there," she said as she tucked the wallet back into her back pocket. "So, what kind of clothes or costumes do you make?"

Hazel looked at her wallet, admiring it. It seemed to fit a pretty common theme that Lorencia had going on. At this point, she was pretty sure her bathrobe would have purple veins on it. Though the trinket was quite interesting, and it felt weird to her. She wanted to touch it, but that should probably be wait. Unless she wanted to fuck herself up more, which Hazel really did not.

"Uh, any, really. Shirts, pants, dresses, socks, undergarments, swimsuits, a few hats, and a pair of gloves once. Whatever people want me to make. I do private commissions. Haven't gotten anything too extreme to be honest. Did get a few Halloween costumes or some Christmas stuff during those times." Santa was a lot harder to get right then she originally thought. At least when it comes to sewing.

"Undergarments?" she chuckled a little, bending over slightly since she was lowering her voice for this. "The cute one you're wearing, did you make that? I like it!" It was only a split second back where the lockers were, but Lorencia saw a glimpse of it. She didn't really think that looking at people's underwear was perverted. No one in their world did. Except certain visitors that is. It was just another article of clothing after all.

"I'm looking forward to Halloween," she said, standing back up straight and speaking in her normal volume. "I can't believe you guys have a day dedicated to dressing up! I really want to see what other people dress up as. But, ahh... Why are most of the women's costumes kind of missing a few parts? I was looking some up for ideas what you guys usually dress up as, but it's like they only give half of them, while the guys are all covered up. Is that part of the rules?"

Hazel's face turned bright red, looking at the ground. "Uh, yeah thanks, I make all of my clothes. Those are called bloomers...." Well, that is not what she was expecting Lorencia to bring up at all. And she cursed herself a bit for allowing her underwear to be exposed. At least she thought they were cute as well.

"Anyway, yeah, Halloween is pretty interesting. Though some people dress up on other days, Halloween is quite a popular one. And by missing a few parts, do you mean them wearing revealing clothing or something? Cause I don't know why it is like that. Other then girls showing off their bodies to impress guys or something. At least that is my best guest. No one is gonna get angry if you wear something less revealing."

Bloomers? Is that because were puffy? Wouldn't that be better called puffers then? This world has strange ways of naming things, but the more that word repeated in her mind, the more she just wanted to chant it. Bloomers. It was a fun-sounding word!

Lorencia half-nodded on the question about the female costumes. They did look revealing, most of them did, but looking at how most people dressed, it fit the pattern. "Oh, that's good. I wouldn't want to go against your world's traditions. Might get chased out. I thought the differences was for similar reasons. Like in this other world... um... Ae'ion, I think it was, I forgot. But my mom said that over there, groups were only allowed to wear certain colors and patterns, or else they'd get some kind of punishment. It's kind of silly, but there was some reason for it. Just thought Halloween was something like that. But now that I know it's not, I have a lot more options to choose from!"

Turning to Hazel, she asked, "What costumes did you have during Halloween?"

"Our world is a bit weird, yeah. Cultures are more country based rather then just one on this planet. America has a vastly different culture then Japan. There are a few cultures where people have to wear certain things, but I'd rather not get into that." That was definitely not her area to explain that thing. Maybe a culture class or something?

"Anyway, no, Halloween you can wear whatever you want. And when I was younger, it ranged from being a princess to a witch. Now I just wear what I usually wear. I dress up as a witch anyway, no real reason to dress as something else." It sounded a bit more boring now that she said that outloud. Eh, oh well.

Talk about diversity... This made Lorencia wonder though, how old was this world? She was sure she was taught something about worlds being slowly converted to a single ideology if left alone long enough. Maybe it didn't apply here? Or maybe this world was just so young in comparison. Size would also be a factor... Hmm... Maybe she hadn't heard her mother right... Was it the whole world of Ae'ion, or just a part of it, a country, just like what Hazel said.

"But isn't Halloween supposed to make you dress as something you're not?" Maybe there were some exceptions to this, or maybe Hazel just didn't partake in Halloween anymore.
