Hazel watched the girl go to a locker, opening up a wound on her palm. She was going to protest, but didn't really have time to as she grabbed Hazel's palm. Then the small sting followed by the itch. But Hazel remained still, watching the glow. As she withdrew, Hazel messed with her glasses.

She brought up a small database that only she could see, though if Lorencia concentrated enough, she would be able to see it on the left lens. As she she introduced herself, Hazel nodded, still looking. "Yeah, thanks. I'm Hazel Arlnest... And you would be a void walker, correct?" There was nothing about healing, but there wasn't much on purple blood. That was probably her best guess. Spacial magic though. Her right eye tried to focus on Lorencia, but there was something just a bit off about it.

Lorencia was pleasantly surprised to hear someone correctly guess what she was. She nodded, a big smile on her face. "Yup! How did you know? I thought Void Walkers weren't known very well here. Oh! You must have met my cousin, right?"

Hazel seemed a bit distracted, and Lorencia caught on quick. As she tilted her head questioningly, she noticed something in the lens of her glasses. It wasn't a reflection. Some sort of magic, maybe?

"What are you doing?" she asked out of curiosity.

Hazel shook her head, scooting over to her. It was probably better to help show her rather then try to explain it. Hazel tapped the air in front of her, and a little menu popped up. "I can basically use magic to get access to a bunch of different notebooks with a lot of info. Like this."

She pressed a few buttons, bringing up the page about the voidwalkers. It was written as notes, stating that they had purple blood, immune to curses and diseases and had a knack for spacial magic. There was another note saying that there was probably more too them. "It's pretty helpful about learning different magical creatures and whatnot."

Lorencia's eyes widened as the menu suddenly popped up as if they were in a computer. A 'Matrix' joke was appropriate for this, wasn't it? She couldn't think of one however, given that she was busy looking at the floating graphic. When Hazel explained what it was, she immediately drew a parallel to something they had at home.

When Hazel pulled up the information about Void Walkers, Lorencia was surprised. Some did take note of Void Walkers! The question would be who, and how did they get this information out of them? Sadly she could tell that this was lacking a lot of things, even if these notes were simply there to be concise.

"This looks like what the grand archive's scholars use! Only, not so complicated." Looking towards Hazel with an inquisitive shine in her eyes, "You must be linked to a grand archive, aren't you?"

"Well.... Yeah, I guess I would." That was a pretty good parallel, actually. It wasn't a grand library, sure, but it still had quite the fair amount of info in it to help with different situations and whatnot. Hazel looked back at her eyes, admiring the brightness she had. It wasn't a great combat power, but it was nice too see someone taking a liking to it.

"Most of this info came from my old Master, a sorcerer named logan. He helped me link the books up to this. It's quite convenient, and I have added a few notes here and there myself." As Hazel looked at the girl, she had to admit that Lorencia was quite pretty. The purple hair was also quite unique, matching with the purple blood and kind of matching with her eyes. Not wanting to make things awkward, though, Hazel would push on her legs, standing herself up, albeit a bit wobbly.

"Logan? He must be a dedicated scholar. Did he travel a lot? Did he have a personal library where he keeps his tomes?" Even though it seemed that she was ticking off some stereotypes of what this world usually called a master of magic, she was genuine with it.

"Wait, if you're also adding into the library, then you must be a scholar as well, aren't you?" Lorencia's smile widened a bit, as did her eyes as she looked into Hazel's. Then with a sudden chuckle, she said, "I just noticed that we have very similar eye colors."

Turning back to the notes on Void Walkers, she added, "These notes are a little bare. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. The council, for a time, did insist that we keep our heritage a secret."

Oh, wow, there is a lot of questions coming from her now. Alright, she was just gonna take this slowly from question to question. "Yeah, he was. We both traveled around the world, and he kept his tomes in a pocket dimension. Which he learned that magic from a voidwalker, actually. Long before I met him obviously."

Was she a scholar? "Yeah, I guess I would be. Never thought of it that way. Hmm..." She kind of liked it. Maybe she should put that on her business card or something. She was then caught off guard with the chuckle, then blushing at the eye comments. Before she could say something though, she turned back to the notes. "Yeah, I uh, can understand that, I guess. Some families or species can be a bit stingy with information."

Lorencia gasped. "If he met a void walker... The notebook we had that told us about this place looked like it was a couple of decades old. I wonder if that was the same void walker that taught your master how to make a pocket dimension!" She was quite clearly excited for this revelation. She had to let Devias know about this! There was no doubt in her mind that her cousin would find this information appealing.

"I think it had something to do with us being invaded a couple of hundred of years ago by power-hungry mages. But the void was a harsh place to be if you just jumped in. Sort of like when divers descend the deep waters too fast." That was actually why they were told to be wary of bringing visitors. While the concern of being invaded again was still in everyone's mind after so long has passed, the biggest concern was the mana and void shocks visitors might face.

Hazel nodded, placing her hat onto her head. "Yeah, I'm sure it was possible. My master is a few hundred years old, and was quite fond of both teaching and learning. He would have absolutely taught a voidwalker about this place. Though, he doesn't sound like he was one of the power-hungry mages you mentioned."

Crossing her legs, she floated into the air, placing her bag on her lap. She also poofed away the magic screen, as she felt it was no longer needed. "That being said, why did the mages want to enter the void? I mean, you have a grand archive, but would it really be worth it for a bunch of mages to risk killing themselves or something?"

"I do hope not. That invasion was highly costly for everyone involved." Not to mention it heavily limited who could visit afterwards. Some even say the Void was close to tearing itself apart.

Hazel suddenly started to float up. Admittedly, Lorencia wanted to learn something like that. While she could make platforms underneath her feet and that would allow her to be mistaken for floating in the air, Hazel was actually floating, perhaps even weightless. The only time Lorencia could do that was inside her own realm.

"Well, we were taught that they were after three things. First was the knowledge we had about all the other worlds our scholars visited. Second was to wield the power of the void, which has a unique take on magic. And third was for our magic-charged blood. Who knows what they could use that for, but it sound harrowing..."
