Walking through the downtown area of Manta Carlos City, Veritas looked around. Rumor had it there was a match maker in the area. Since she seemed to possess a sort of power, or at least may have Veritas decided it was worth investigating. It was a cool night, and one he didn't particularly want to be out during. Yet thanks to a recent mod to his armor it had an internal temperature regulation system built into it. Thankfully his power worked. Truthfully any who possessed mental alteration abilities were hated by him. For he didn't want anyone messing with his brain, thank you very much. The scientists who had done it in the lab were bad enough. No one else was even going to be given half a chance, anyway.

A red-headed chick in ripped jeans and a tank top with hearts stitched on it was flipping through a book full of spells. It was a beautiful yet ancient book filled with charms. All these charms were for invoking various kinds of love. It also contained spells on how to make detailed constructs made of love. However, she was not interested in building anything right now. She kept flipping until she found the page she wanted.
"Romance, perfect!"
A light pink rim appeared around her eyes as she then shot a love spell out at a guy whom was hanging around nearby some lonely-looking girl. The guy is hit and suddenly finds himself mesmerized by that girl and goes bolting to her to talk. A coy smile appears on Harmony's face. Yet another happy couple. It was all in a day's work. However, she didn't think she had a reputation for it. I mean how would she? If anything, she was more likely to be known for her many, many exes...ah well, that was none of her concern. She closed the book and moved to walk off somewhere else.

When a girl approached, and then shot a blast out of some kind of book hitting a set of individuals, one male and one female Veritas watched. When the two of them started to act like they were in love he face-palmed. For something like that was definitely mental alteration, to say the least. If this person was brazen enough to actually do something like that in public, the chances they'd do it to him were very high and that could not be allowed to occur. Following her slowly so as not to arouse suspicion, Veritas thought of what he could best summon to help restrain her. Finally a decision was made and 10 battle droids from Star Wars appeared in her path blocking her, so she couldn't get away that easy.
"Halt!"
This was spoken by the droids, as Veritas walked up behind her. He was clad in his armor and completely covered head to toe in it. Hopefully it would afford him some protection against whatever she had done. "So you like to mess with people's minds, and emotions?"

Harmony hummed to herself as she was walking down the sidewalk. She just loved bringing people together. It brought joy to her own heart. She didn't notice that there was someone following her. She was too busy focusing on her own fantasies. The girl often had her head in the clouds. That's what made it all the startling when suddenly a line of drones appeared in front of her. They all cut her off. This sight caused her to stop as she stared at them. What were these and where did they come from? They looked suspiciously similar to something she saw in a movie.
Then a male voice made her turn to glance over at him. Some guy clad in armor was addressing her directly. She could only tell because he was facing her. More than likely the droids were there because of him as well. Perhaps that was his power. While cool, she really didn't appreciate the sudden threat he was posing. He questioned her about messing with people's minds and emotions. This made her tilt her head in slight confusion.

She saw absolutely nothing wrong with utilizing her magic to set up dates and situations. They weren't being harmed by her. If anything, they felt happier, or at least so she thought. Everyone deserved to have a little love in their lives, and this person needed a lesson in that.

"Wait. So your power is not mental alteration on a grand scale?" This was asked by Veritas who lost his concentration for but a second, causing the battle-droids to fade out of existence entirely. Veritas wasn't sure if she was speaking the truth, but knew of a way he could find out and so he looked at her for a moment. Finally a smaller and more advanced polygraph machine would appear that didn't require being connected, but would simply scan her to see if she was lying.
But upon taking a moment to think again, Veritas dismissed the machine and let his armor fade from his body. If she was telling the truth, she wouldn't be able to alter him much hopefully. But if she was lying, he'd fight her tooth and nail. "I see. Hmm. You gave one demonstration of your power. So what else can it do?"

Melody hated when Harmony left without her anywhere.. She was too good of a person to be allowed out of someones supervision. Rounding the corner she saw some guy standing there and talking to her beloved twin sister. Walking forward Melody put her hand in Harmony's. Harmony made all the bad things go away. Harmony made the withdraw she felt less painful. Melody's body shook as she glared at Veritas.
"Hers are not. But mine are. Leave my sisters alone. Harmony you dont need to show him anything."

The man did take off his armor to reveal his appearance, but she felt like he was still on the aggressive. She wasn't a violent person; she brought love to everyone's hearts, not war! Harmony could feel her vibes going out of whack as she listened to his words. Mental alteration on a grand scale? What? He was fully invested in trying to find out her power, and she had no problem with sharing, but she did have a problem with his threatening demeanor.
Then her sister walked in as the saving grace. A soft smile appeared on her face as she held Melody's hand. Now the twins were reunited. Her twin seemed rather ill though; had she been mistreating herself again? She felt concerned, but her expression still displayed a peaceful look.
"I am not sure why you cut me off, but I humbly request you cease such aggression. I do no harm in spreading love to others."
Her head turned to face Melody.
"I'm sorry if I worried you, Mel."

Hopefully it didn't mean that she'd be able to make him go back to the lab and undergo more experimentations. An unpleasant emotion spiked through his body, one he had never felt before. This was absolute and complete terror at the individual known as Mel. In short, Veritas was afraid of her.
The other one Harmony couldn't alter minds, so he felt a bit more at ease. But still with one who could do such present he'd have to do something to protect himself from mental alteration. But right now due to the levels of fear he couldn't focus properly on creating such a device out of code. So this left him one option.
"Good. Your power can't force me back into a place I'd rather not be..." This was said somberly. "I'm sorry for cutting you off. I'm paranoid about those who have abilities of manipulating others mentally. Especially considering my past." Veritas didn't elaborate on his past, and wouldn't elaborate on it either if given the choice. "It's nice to meet you Mel. So what are your powers exactly?"

Melody could feel it, the fear within him swelling. There was a firm understanding in her mind in this moment that would not change for her, now or ever. The guy before her and her sister was afraid of her. It made her smile, the runes that were tattooed into her skin lit up on Mel's body. It was an automatic thing for her sadly enough, unlike Harmony it was hard for Mel to cover up preparation or use of her magical abilities.
"My powers are of the mind, much like my sisters. However, unlike her I have more than one emotion. Mine rein over the negative emotions that someone feels. anguish, fear, hate, envy. Emotions like these. I can project or increase these emotions in others. Care to see?"
Melody's dark grin would alert Veritas that she was not playing as the taller female stepped before Harmony. He would be able to clearly see that the pair were twins only minor differences set them apart.
Looking over her shoulder Melody scoffed at Harmony in a rather scolding way.
"You know better than to not answer my text messages. I get worried about you."

Harmony was not one for violence. She wasn't into fighting at all. She preferred to spark love and would bring happiness if she could. So her eyes conveyed some worry as she stood there. The girl contemplated what she could do. While she could invoke some love between them, Melody would instantly recognize her abilities and would NOT be happy with her. The twin failed to register Veritas' words when it came to his past and returning somewhere. She hadn't the faintest clue what he was talking about. She attempted appeasement.
"Er, can't we like go for coffee? This situation's a total misunderstanding..."
The mention of text messages made the lover blink and check her phone. Oh...that was a lot of missed texts. Whoops. Her airheadedness was showing. She then put the phone away and lightly stroked the spine of her grimoire as it remained within her bag. She was purposefully distracting herself from the tension.
