Oh good, she didn't notice the man. Lorencia, during that moment, had been eating her ice cream and looking at the other posters, so that was a blessing. Best to make sure she never realizes."Um, yeah. It's a brilliant movie." It was true, but the movie wasn't scheduled to start for a short while.

They were the only ones in the room, so they had free choice of seating. While they chose, he continued small talk to help put himself at ease. "Yeah, But I don't really think the book itself is all that great."

His stomach rumbled softly, and no wonder. all he had to eat recently was the ice cream, and he barely touched it before it fell on the ground. There was a snack bar outside, but he didn't want to leave Lorencia alone here, so he endured it.

Was the movie really that good? Now she really wanted to see it, but it looked like they still had time before it started, so they could just talk some more. It was sort of strange to see a theater this empty, but the other students must be at the pool or something. But this was good. It was just them, having all the privacy they needed.

"Really? Well that's a shame. But I guess the movie makes up for it if it's that great, right? Ah! That looks like a good place to settle down in. Come on." She pointed towards the center isle and a few rows back from the center row. It looked like the perfect place since the big screen wouldn't look so big or too small.

"It more than makes up for it." Following Lorencia, he motioned to the seat in the exact position she pointed to. "After you," he said, following her into the aisle and taking the seat next to her.

Being a large room, it was weird to be all alone here, just the two of them. It would be even stranger if they were the only one who bought tickets, but hey, privacy then, the only thing that would be off-putting for that idea would be them being alone with the man outside. He shivered just thinking about the guy.

To try and take that out of his mind, he decided to try something a little different. As Lorencia was finishing her cone, he gave her a kiss on the cheek, maybe about five seconds long?

"Why thank you," she said, giving him a playful bow as she slipped into her seat and getting comfortable. She was still taking little bites out of the cone when she suddenly froze up, almost dropping the cone.

Victor's kiss on her cheeks caught her off guard. As soon as he was done, which felt like forever, she balled herself up, giggle almost uncontrollably and blushing just as much. She hugged her knees tightly, and Victor could hear her suppressing a squeal of delight. However, she soon regained her composure, but the blush was slow to follow her lead. Clearing her throat, she said in her defense, "S-sorry! That just caught me off guard, hehehe." Still blushing, she smiled, sat back and leaned her head on to Victor's shoulder.

As soon Victor finished his kiss, Lorencia had balled herself up, and was very badly hiding a squeal of delight, he hoped.

"You okay?" he laughed as she was having her fan girl moment. She calmed down shortly after, but was still blushing when she apologized. Definitely good.

"Sorry about that, but no promises about it not happening again." Replied Victor with a grin, as Lorencia leant on his shoulder.Uncertain about how to react, he went by instinct: wrapping his arm around Lorencia.

"I'll keep my guard up!" she said, defiantly. That wasn't her most graceful moment, but the best thing about it was there was no one else there to witness it. Her heart felt like it had swollen up from that.

Feeling his arm around her, she just nuzzled into his shoulder like a puppy begging for attention and resisted balling up again, but her neck was already trying to retreat back to the previous formation. "You know... being... in love is weird..."

He felt her nuzzle into his shoulder. It was a weird sensation but he kinda liked it.Judging from her previous reaction, she must be struggling to keep calm. So was he.

"Being in love is weird." He agreed. "Its seen as purely sexual by the media, yet i think it should be someone that you want to be comfortable around." He looked down at her. "What do you think love is?"

At that moment, the screen began to darken, the movie was starting, and it was just the two of them in the room.

"I... I don't know..." Lorencia was thinking about it. She didn't really have a clear answer herself. She wasn't even sure herself when she said that she loved him. It was all feeling. "Well... A lot of people say different things. Like its a deeper form of friendship. Some would say its a special bond that two people forge that pulls them together. And for some it's all about finding the right person to make your lineage stronger. The people who say those things were all happy with their choices, so I can't say which ones aren't true.

"But there's a few more kinds of love, isn't there? Like, for the family, pets and material things... But our kind of love... I think for me... is finding someone who we can stick to, even when our feelings of 'love' has faded. Even if we don't have the same spark, we still like being around each other."

He listened to every word, "you're welcome, but I think I should be thanking you." He gave her hand a gentle squeeze before lifting and kissing it, "you've been willing to put up with me, and you pulled me out of a slump," he was very grateful for all she had done for him.

Leaning over he quickly kissed her again, "and I'm very happy I came with you." He sat down grinning, "I mean, a cruise with my amazing girlfriend, I couldn't say no to that."

As he talked his right hand went into his coat and from it he pulled a single red rose, "just a little something for you," he said handing it to her.

While the pre-movie trailers were playing, Lorencia told Victor what she thought love was. Friendship, a bond that made you stronger. But she also spoke about how they would still enjoy the others company when the love ends.

"So like us now?" Victor asked. "Even if we weren't in love, we would still be friends."
