He brought her closer wrapping his arms around her, "Hey now... I can't marry anyone else but you. I'll see what the people say, but Jen, no matter what I'll always love you more than anything that comes along and I'll protect you. Jen, I love you so much but I don't want either of us to not be happy so I want to wait until we're both ready. Though... I promise to you that no matter what I'll love you." He said slowly resting his hand on her cheek, his hand slightly clammy but not to the gross point. His eyes looked lovingly into her's, he was tempted to kiss her and moved in to do so. But then his leg flared with pain. He slowly released her from his grasp and grasp his painful leg.

It felt miserable he had a wonderful romantic moment and the pain in his leg took away the glitter from the lovely moment. The pain grew to a climax sending spasms of pain in his leg that cause him to almost fall. He tried to steady himself through the pain but his leg in the middle of the pain let go and made him fall towards her, he caught her shoulders and managed to keep his weight off of her so she wouldn't fall or get hurt. After all that happened his body ached so much, his back, his neck and his leg. He had a second wound in his back but forgot about it since his leg wound was much deeper and painful. He wouldn't have been surprised if it was infected, he didn't have a good fair fight but managed to win still. He knew now that he would have to think of another way to make this man leave himself and the woman he loved alone.

"Mez-kun!"
Jen cried a little to loud. Some of the girls woke up and started to get out of bed to see what was wrong. As he fell, she caught him, even though he had his hands on her shoulders. She had no idea what to do. She didn't know how to heal, she knew no remedies for such a wound, or even if this town had a doctor. She saw a girl a bit older than the rest approach them.
"Do you know if your town has a doctor or healer?"
Jen asked. The girl nodded and quickly left the room. Jen gently laid Mez down on the floor, with his head in her lap. Tears were streaming down her face, but sh stopped them from dripping down and hitting his face.
"Y-your going to b-be all right, Mez-k-kun..."

He looked at her ignoring the pain, unsure if he truly would be alright. He looked at her lovingly with a overlaying sadness. He put his hand on her face and wiped away the tears, he pushed the pain away enough to say a few words without looking like he was in agony. "I'll be okay, Jen... I love you, Jen." He said his leg in terrible pain, his back hurt as well but the leg's wound was far deeper and more agonizing than the smaller one in his back.

He touched her face lovingly running his hand down her cheek to her chin. If he was standing he'd have kissed her then and there. But he couldn't, he wanted their first kiss to remain etched in her memory. He wanted it to be something she'd think about and feel wonderful and not some kiss given in a time in pain. But the more he thought about it the more he realized maybe kissing her now would be best. His mind fell off the pain for a short time as he thought of this.

His eyes looked into her's and he put his hand back on her cheek and smiled lightly thru the pain lovingly. "Your eyes are still the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen, now even more so. Don't cry, because it's hard enough for me to bare the pain of not being able to protect you earlier. And I feel worse to see you cry and me be the cause of it. I love you too much, and tears should only be for joy because I never want you to be unhappy." He said his hand now at her chin, he looked at her his eyes looking in her's lovingly through the pain.

He wished so much to draw her in his arms and kiss her lips lovingly and tenderly so she wouldn't cry nor feel sad about all that happened. He loved her so much and even through the pain his eyes still looked at her with love and not pain.

((Has evil idea...))

Jen smiled sadly and put her hand on his. She leaned down to kiss him, but the doctor came in.
"If you want your friend to be healed, everyone must leave. If you hear the words I say and they are not directed at you, there is a chance you may die."
He looked around at the girls.
"And no one wants death."
The girls quickly left the room. The last to leave was Jen, she put a pillow under Mez's head and left quietly. As soon as the left the room, the children encouraged her with kind words, but Jen couldn't help but lose a few tears.
In the room, the doctor locked the door. Turning around to face Mez, he jumped at him and put a hand over his mouth.
"You are to do as I say or else you may lose your girl."
The voice sounded crazy. The hood flew off and Jason was there, his eyes wild and his fangs protruding from his mouth. He didn't have his eye on Mez, but right above him, so he couldn't be hypnotized. He tore out two pieces of cloth and first tied one over Mez's mouth, then his eyes.
"Try and hypnotize me now!"

Jen, meanwhile, had been told by the girls she should wait downstairs with them and have something to eat. Though Jen was hungry, she couldn't eat anything. Worry and sadness filled her. She was shaking and tears were falling from her eyes.
What will happen to Mez-kun? Will he die?

Mez smirked in his mind, he quickly took a small ring out of his pocket. This ring was different than all the others, it was a double ring which looked like one. He knew his weapons and devices, at first sight this would be thought it was used for hypnotizing but instead it was more dangerous than a shirken. He had tripled it with a hypnosis shirken, he wasn't a complete numskull. Also he knew where everything was in this place whereas this guy didn't. He sent a kick towards Jason, he was going to fight this to the end this time. He would protect Jen and his country with this fight, whether it was his last or not.

Jason smirked and leaned forward, sinking his fangs into Mez's neck. Pulling enough blood to make him unconscious, Jason pulled on his hood and went back to a serious doctor manner. He left the room and went downstairs. Jen jumped up and ran to him when he entered the room. The girls followed.
"I need to speak to this woman alone, if you don't mind."
The girls obidiently stayed inside when the two went out. Jason turned to Jen.
"Your friend will need to rest awhile, or otherwise the wound will open and he will bleed again."
Jen looked down.
"But the good thing is..."
He grabbed her and covered her mouth with his hand.
"You get to spend the rest of your life with me!"
The hood fell and Jason's face was revealed. Jen's eyes widened as her face paled. Then all went black for her.
Jason got onto a horse and headed for the town's castle. He entered through the doors with Jen in his arms. He faked a troubled look on his face and stepped up to the court. A few men look surprised.
"The king???"
Was whispered to one another.
"Tis' true. The man who tried to kidnap and and my love, Jen,"
He motioned to Jen.
" Chased us around the town. We had no where to go except the Orphanage. He is there, on the second floor. I managed to rescue Jen, and wound him deeply in the leg. I was able to blindfold and gag him before he could hypnotize us. That is what he can do, hypnotize people. Please help Jen."
The councillors inspected him, and they nodded gravely.
"Prince Mez has finally returned to regain the throne. The ladies will take her. Who is she?"
Jason reluctantly gave Jen to a few pale ladies.
"She is the Princess of Carpecalla, who was also running from the madman."
The man looked at each other, wide-eyed.
"She is to be my bride. I would like to wed tomorrow."

Meanwhile, Jennifer had followed the two and snuck into the room where Jen was. She was shaking with fear as she hid until Jen awoke...

Mez woke on the floor, he wasn't unconcious in fact he was only in so much pain he almost wished he was unconcious. He looked around the room, he heard voices and got up off the ground slowly weakly. He wanted to curse badly but witheld from doing so, he climbed into a closet with a secret trap door and shut the closet quickly opening the trap door he went thru it and shut it. He headed down the passage leading into the celler and then into the closet near the door. He knew this from experience in the past, he waited for the voices to enter the room and soon sneaked closer and closer to the exit. He spotted a young boy and motioned for him to stay quiet and come to him.

The boy came slowly to Mez, and listened to what Mez said. The boy understood and walked to the people upstairs. He entered the room in which they were searching, "What'cha doing?" the boy asked casually.

The men turned around and grabbed the boy. They were sent here to capture, they wouldn't stop until their job was done.
"Tell us if you've seen a grown man with black hair around here and we won't hurt you."
One of the men drew out his sword.
"Speak!"

Night was beginning to fall as Jen awoke. There were no windows in the room she was in, also no water. She knew she could not escape easily.
Jennifer poked her head up.
"Miss Jen? Are you alright?"
Jen turned to look at the girl.
"Jennifer!"
Jen scooped up the girl and hugged her.
"I thought... You..."
Jennifer smiled.
"I knew there wasn't something right about that doctor, so I followed you."
Jen smiled.
"At least we have each other. Do you know... Mez-kun...."
She looked down.
A few of the ladies came in and looked at the two in disgust,
"We might as well dress you both, then."
Soon the two were dressed from head to toe in white. The ladies left the room. They took the candle with them. Jen wearily sat down.
"That was extremely..."
"Exposing."
Jennifer finished, laying down beside her. Soon they were both asleep.

The boy looked at them, "He... he... he... went down the Alley and... well he... he got picked up... by... by a guy in a car." The boy said pretending to be scared, he looked beyond convincing too. He truly looked scared, Mez smiled glad the boy was helping and the boy would be safe as well as the kids in the orphage if he wasn't there.

He got outside and managed to hop a garbage truck that was lingering. He was in so much pain, but he couldn't let Jen down. Not now.

Jen was awakened early in the morning, before the sun came up. It was one of the pale ladies.
"Get up. You need to get fit. A wedding with a lazy princess, get up, NOW!"
Jen scrambled up, looking around.
"Where is Jennifer?
The lady did a very unladylike sneer.
"You mean the little brat? We've hidden her, and if you don't cooperate, or use your 'abilities', we'll kill her. Simple enough?"
Jen paled. How could she have her friend dragged into this? Now her life was on the line.
"Are you coming?"
Jen nodded softly, then followed the lady out.
