The brown haired man could only grimace again when a wave of pain crashed through him. He couldn't really help what he looked like. His head was still turned, he was listening intently to her talk as it distracted him from his mutinous stomach. He couldn't really answer, but he opened his eyes to look at the woman.

Something caught his eye, an irregularity in a rock outcropping, there seems to be more shadows behind it than there should have been. Squinting, his tired eyesight taking a slightly confused tone. Even if he knew what the movement would bring, he turned his head back to the young woman, giving her a puzzled look.

He wasn't sure if he was seing things at the moment and hoped he wasn't or such a situation would bring about more bad consequences than there was at the moment. He simply returned his gaze to the strange rock and waited for her to catch on.

The muscles around his stomach constricted suddenly making him gag loudly. He tried to repress any movement, but was hardly able to do anything about it as he felt worse. He closed his eyes firmly and tried to push the nausea away. James had felt as weak as that only once before and it had not been a pleasant experience. He had been royally sick.

His muscles constricted again painfully, making him whimper weakly from where he lay as it tugged the stitches again. He was trying his best, but was too weak to even lift his head off the ground, let alone keep whatever he had in his stomach in it. He knew it was for his own good if he didn't but he wouldn't be able to keep that going for long.

Perhaps he would be able to keep himself in check long enough for her to go check whatever it was that was being that wall of rock. if they had known about what was behind it before, they would not have as much trouble as they had had. There were various basic medical supplies, with blankets, clothes and enough food to last a few months for two people. Of course, none of the two newest inhabitants of the cave knew that.

She smiled kindly at him, she had put him through enough pain that he deserved a bit of kindness from her. She stayed seated by his side, she started to feel drowsy. She pushed away her tiredness and tried to think of what to do for a bandage. Her mind was empty, she tried to figure it out. But all of her imagination was gone. She felt hopeless, not to mention alone without her swords and sayas.

Fia noticed this, but she tried to see the area, but he had taken his eyes off it. She sighed, hoping he'd do it again so she would understand and know where to go. She felt so tired, she looked at the man's eyes feeling herself wanting to drift off to sleep. She watched his eyes move to a oddly shaped rock. Fia didn't know what was there or even how long it had been there, she imagined if it was a animal it snuck in when she was gone and he was asleep.

She took the knife she had found in hand getting up, she made her way towards the rock. Maybe this creature could be supper, she thought with a light smirk covering her face. She continued towards it soon reaching it, knife in hand ready to attack anything that came her way. But nothing lunged at her, she couldn't see very well in the shadows. She moved closer looking at the figure ready incase of attack.

She heard the man on the ground gag loudly, she needed to finish looking at this thing fast. She hadn't a clue what it was though, she took a risk and moved forward touching it with her hand to see if it was alive or dead. Little did she know it could've been something other than a animal or human. She prayed in the back of the mind for God to keep the man from dying or vomiting since she wasn't ready for another hour or two of stiching him up. And neither was he.

She knew he was in agony, perhaps giving him water was stupid. She wasn't a real nurse, she only knew the important things such as stiching someone up and treating other seabound illnesses. She hated land, eversince she had come on land it had been nothing but tragity. She sighed wanting to just have one thing go right in her life on land. She seriously was thinking about going back to sea for eternity and never returning to this place of land.

Fia moved in to place her hand on a blanket, a confused look covered her face. Why was there a blanket in such a place? She continued to look, her eyes slowly adjusting to the light. Medical supplies, clothes, blankets, and food. She looked at it in shock, she never saw things like this in sea caves, usually it was treasure stashed. She picked up two blankets and a pair of new clothes. She moved to a place where the man couldn't see her so she could change. She slipped into a pair of fresh clothes that were a lot warmer then her dried blood covered ones. She then picked up another one for when the man felt well enough to change. She figured incase she was able to put a shirt on him she may as well take it. She took some medical supplies out as well, she'd look at them closely by the fire to see what they had.

She walked out from the shadows carrying two blankets a pair of clothing and a small box of medical supplies. She was sure that the man would be a bit shocked at the findings.

James closed his eyes, resolving to get some sleep, he was shivering lightly for a small cold. He was drifting away slowing in a doze, but he had trouble really sleeping since waves of pain would jerk him awake each time he tried to get to sleep.

Finally forgoing sleep for the moment, the man tried not to think too much for the moment, his headache having not receeded yet. Another shiver ran through him and he moaned softly, than decided he shouldn't open his mouth at all and closed it quickly.

The woman's footsteps came back nearer to him, and he opened a bleary eye. A small measure of shock entered his face but he simply was too tired to be able to keep having much more of the emotional turmoil. He simply gave her a questionning gaze when she returned wearing new clothes and carrying a pair of blankets and medical supplies.

He wondered where she had gotten the clothes and things. He was till feeling unwell and couldn<t do anything more than stare with only one eye open.

She layed the blanket ontop of him, she was almost tempted to cuddle up with him with the second blanket so that she got all the cold air that had soaked into her body out. She felt much better in the new clothes, but she still was cold seeing she had been without warmeth for hours.

She looked in the box of medical supplies, "Looks like I can take proper care of your wound and pain a bit better." She said with a light smile. She took out some liquid pain reliever, that shouldn't upset his stomach, but instead sooth it all the while giving relief to his pain. Or at least some of it, seeing it wasn't a magical pill. She now could change his wound dressings and clean it with real disinfectant.

"Okay I'm going to have you take the pain medication, then I'll change your dressings. Maybe you can get some new clothes on to keep you more warm if it's possible." She said observing his situation, trying to figure out how to get new pants on his legs and a new shirt on his chest without hurting his wounds. She waited for his okay before she opened the pain medicine and put a tablespoon of the red liquid before his mouth.

She tried to figure out how to put the clothes on him without injuring him. She figured if she had help she could lift his legs off the ground without reinjuring it to pull the new pants on. But that would prove hard, she decided it wasn't important at the moment, she first could treat his aches and then work on dressing him more properly so that when he could move around he'd be properly dressed.

James was grateful for the blanket when it covered him from neck to toe. Had he been able to do so, he would have snuggled in the warmth the blanket but incidently, he didn't have any strength to do that. He sighed in relief, some heat returning to him. It wasn't that the fire wasn't helping he just was lacking the energy to warm himself up alone.

He wondered what medecine she had found and would not protest to any. He was sure medecine had advanced since he had last needed it, but he didn't have fond memories of any doctor, especially in the beginning of his life. He had since then grown a slight distrust of doctors, but since the young woman wasn't a doctor...

He gave her a thankful gaze though some of it hiding the very slight tinge of mistrust about the drug she was about to give him, not that he didn't thrust her, that was an entirely other matter. He gulped the syrup down anyway, the pain immediately ebbing away. The young/old man sighed in relief and closed his eyes.

The drug seemed to calm his mutinous stomach, easing the nausea from his body. He wasn't feeling that well, but at least his stomach wasn't trying to empty itself anymore.

Fia noticed this didn't help him much, she then layed the second blanket ontop of him. She moved sitting near him going through the box. She found some bandages and things to put on the wounds, she then found some over the counter antibotics and decided this would prevent him from infections. She sighed, "I'm going to have to torture you for a second okay? Your wounds need clean bandages." She took out the disinfectant and cream to speed healing. She lifted the blankets off his chest to show his bandaged area and slowly carefully removed the bandage.

She saw the wound, it was showing signs of possible early infection. She was glad she had found the boxes in time, she took the cream and disinfectant first cleaning the wound carefully then putting some cream on it. She then took a fresh bandage and placed it on the wound making sure it fit correctly. It was a lot easier then before, the bleeding had stopped since he was stitched up. She recovered him with the blankets and moved to his head placing it on her lap she took off the old bandage slowly and carefully. She then put the disinfectant on it and then the cream, then the bandage. This bandage was definately going to be more comfortable on him then the rag one before.

She took out a few other medicines, "There's one bottle for pain, one bottle to prevent infection.. It's funny that they're all new and drinkable, I wonder if someone knew before this all happened what was needed." she said out loud to him.

She smiled lightly, "One more time, this one is just as needed as the first." She said kindly to the man, she put the spoon to his mouth with the medicine on it. She needed to take care of him until he was better and she knew that would be at the least a week. She was a bit upset at that, but right now the patient was important.

She noticed he stopped gagging she smiled lightly glad it had worked.

James could feel each and every fiber from the makshift bandages as the young woman peeled it from his wounds. The fabric hadn't stuck to it that much, but it was uncomfortable anyway. He resisted the urge to squirm, which was easy to do since he couldn't really move in the first place.

He was grateful for the pain killer she had given him prior to torturing his skin like that, it wasn't that he was squeamish about it, it just hurt. It wasn't his fault he was in that condition anyway, the idiotic vampire had issues the size of the whole antartic continent. The moron was a racist vampire that had a thing against humans.

Well, he couldn't quite qualify as a human since he was technically 'immortal' in human terms, he could never die of age. He winced softly when the disinfectant touched some more tender spots. the brown haired man gave a small smile to the young woman, returning the one she was directing at him.

He didn't know weither or not there was someone who had known they would need the supplies, but he was glad whoever it was had placed the medical supplies, the food and the blankets. He didn't really care about it. James looked at the young woman before looking down to his wounds.

He could see the early starts of redness around the stitches, a sure sign it wasn't all going as good as it could have been. The wounds were taken care off rather rapidly, the skill of experience showing in the other's hands. It was obvious it wasn't the first time she had done that and he was happy it wasn't.

He took the drug obediently, closing his eyes after he was done swallowing the awful thing down his throat. For some reasons, medecines allways tasted awful. He was tired and wanted some sleep but wasn't sure he would get it just yet.

Fia knew it was hard, but it had to be done. This time it'd be less painful and she knew that he'd be glad she did this when she did. She was glad that he couldn't move, it was nice to not have to worry about him squirming like a baby. Little did she know he was 1000 years old, he was ancient compared to her. She worked hard to keep him alive nonetheless.

She could tell he was grateful to not have to deal with this before the painkiller, she knew it would've hurt. But she knew of many men who could stand unreal amounts of pain so she always tried to be like them. The hardest part for her was to put a innocent person in pain, but she learned to deal with it. She knew the vampire that did this to him must've been a blood lustful nut. Not for thirst but just to see it.

She had not a clue that he wasn't a human, she herself would be qualified as a human seeing she had no physical traits for powers. It was more of a skill that she had, but she was a very skill pirate that was for sure. She considered herself someone with the power of motivation. She saw him wince, but she wasn't going to baby him. He after all was nearly a grown man, she had done this to 13 year olds who got caught in cross fire.

She had no concern for his wounds, she did her best work. With the medicine he'd be fine, she had worked in better situations. But he'd be fine since they weren't about to be under attack by a enemy ship or something. She guessed that someone had known they would be there. She wasn't going to push it since the man didn't seem to really care.

She noticed his gaze at the wounds, she knew it was noticable that she had experience, seeing her speed and non-grossed-out-ness. She knew they should be fine, she had dealt with worse wounds. But usually the person seemed to get better faster. She guessed it was because of his exposure to cold, she sighed hoping he'd be able to get better in this weather.

She smiled, he took the drug. He'd get better, she knew he hated it but it was neccesary. She looked at him, "You should sleep, you need it."

James gave her a small smile, proceeding to gather air in his lungs. He wanted to at least thank her for her help. He filled his lungs with air and then let out a small word.

"Thanks." was the only thing he was able to get out.

His voice had been parched and rough, only just carrying the message he wanted to give her. Not waiting to see what he answer would be, he closed his eyes and struggled to get some sleep. He needed it and desperately so.

The deep sleep he was hoping for came quicker than he had expected, closing his mind off any matter at hand and him drifting oof into lala land. His dreams were a bit disturbing, but he at least got a few more hours of sleep than he had managed to get the night before.

What woke him up, was the sunlight that flooded the cave as the storm had receeded over the night, though not without leaving a few feets of snow between them and the safety of the school, ensuring that they wouldn't be able to leave the cave until he was able to at least walk on his own, since it would be difficult to shovel four feet of snow away while having a heavy man accross one's shoulders. (That was a single sentence. :P)

He made no sound while he woke up, looking around himself, he felt better today and he could feel an itch in most of his wounds, though not the bad kind of itches, more like a getting better and starting to scab over itch. He resisted the urge to scratch himself, but he felt as if he could now at least lift his arm off the ground. It was an improvemen in itself and he did so, testing the limits.

He soon put it back down again, a bit panting with the effort, but not as much as it could have been. He smiled to himself and his eyes fell on the young woman next to him and he resolved not to wake her for now, in the light she looked exhausted.

"Thanks."

She smiled, "Shh... Getting better is the only thanks I need, I don't want to have put all this work together for nothing. All I want is for you to stop struggling to get better and I want you to be perfectly fine. Because I can't afford to miss too much training, and also I won't be able to get you to the hospital until your better at least enough so I can carry you there." She said looking at him, she wondered how long it would take for the man to stop taking so long to heal properly.

She smiled when he went to sleep, her own eyes flickered. She felt tired herself, she looked at the stuff deciding she could take a rest seeing that he was going to be sleeping. His was was raspy, but it was there. She wasn't going to fuss over him like a mother over a baby. He was a grown man and he could deal with his pain to an extent.

She layed down a good five feet away from him, close enough to hear if he was in aggony or had a relapse. She closed her eyes for but a few minutes and dozed off into sleep, she had no dreams when she was this tired. She often would fight it if a dream did atempt to show it's face in her mind. She often felt alone, but she was glad to be alone. She was the type that liked her space and didn't want to have to answer to people.

Fia was still asleep, she may have been a stickler in some respects but she was still a human. She slept soundly, she was a person who enjoyed sleep, it always seemed to help her deal with things. It was just early in the day, she was a late waker. She had never attending a formal school so waking later in the day was allowed even though it wasn't approved of. She also was extremely tired so that helped her to sleep more.

She in the back of her mind knew he would be up, she also knew she should get up and feed and give him water. But she had been neglecting her own need of sleep lately and in order for her to nurse him back to health she needed her rest too. She layed without blanket on the floor, she had only seen two blankets, she was fine without one since she had discovered the clothes. She had woke in the middle of the night to stoke up the fire so it wouldn't go out until afternoon. Sound sounds of breathing during slumber filled the room, she didn't snore though. She looked rather peaceful an occaisonal chill would wake the girl, but she'd cuddle into the sweater and sleep on through the night.

She woke to the sound of him panting, she yawned lightly a chill coming down her spine as she woke. The ground which she slept on was cold, she rested her head on her shoulder forcing her eyes to stay open she yawned again. She was the type who didn't enjoy waking up each day, she found it annoying when sleeping was so nice.

"How are you feeling?" She asked with a yawn, her eyes still shut she hadn't noticed the snow keeping them in yet.
