The brown haired man could only grimace again when a wave of pain crashed through him. He couldn't really help what he looked like. His head was still turned, he was listening intently to her talk as it distracted him from his mutinous stomach. He couldn't really answer, but he opened his eyes to look at the woman.
Something caught his eye, an irregularity in a rock outcropping, there seems to be more shadows behind it than there should have been. Squinting, his tired eyesight taking a slightly confused tone. Even if he knew what the movement would bring, he turned his head back to the young woman, giving her a puzzled look.
He wasn't sure if he was seing things at the moment and hoped he wasn't or such a situation would bring about more bad consequences than there was at the moment. He simply returned his gaze to the strange rock and waited for her to catch on.
The muscles around his stomach constricted suddenly making him gag loudly. He tried to repress any movement, but was hardly able to do anything about it as he felt worse. He closed his eyes firmly and tried to push the nausea away. James had felt as weak as that only once before and it had not been a pleasant experience. He had been royally sick.
His muscles constricted again painfully, making him whimper weakly from where he lay as it tugged the stitches again. He was trying his best, but was too weak to even lift his head off the ground, let alone keep whatever he had in his stomach in it. He knew it was for his own good if he didn't but he wouldn't be able to keep that going for long.
Perhaps he would be able to keep himself in check long enough for her to go check whatever it was that was being that wall of rock. if they had known about what was behind it before, they would not have as much trouble as they had had. There were various basic medical supplies, with blankets, clothes and enough food to last a few months for two people. Of course, none of the two newest inhabitants of the cave knew that.
