"Do toddlers still rest in cribs, or are they capable of handling small beds?"
Cecete watched Celesta as the baby went crawling everywhere without any clothes on. At least they were inside the house. She chuckled lightly and shook her head. Then her eyes spotted a paper within the now-ruined white smock. The woman pinched the smock open to peek inside. Yes, there was indeed a note there! She also realized that the stitching was on the wrong side. This meant that the toddler was wearing her clothes inside out. Who was silly enough to dress this child improperly? It didn't seem like she'd be dressing herself at this point.
The queen gently pulled the note out of the smock. She made sure not to get any of the residue left by saliva or meat on it. She scanned the note and read its contents aloud.
"Celesta Vasilisa Drakenhardt. Born on December 31st 2012...that means she has just turned three."
Suddenly she felt someone holding onto her leg. She glanced down to see the little dragon girl. A soft smile spread on her face. Aww, she was already so attached to her. This was unexpected. Once she started chanting "Up! Up!", the woman reached out and carefully pulled her up so that she was back on her lap. Her fingers ran through the girl's red hair.
"Shopping is definitely required, but I have concerns about letting this child go outside. I do not see any warmer clothes to change her into. She will have to stay here."
And someone was going to have to watch her. She wanted to go shopping, but now she felt the need to remain at home to take care of Celesta. She wondered if they could maybe send Marduk to get the items or if they were going to go together while he watches after the toddler or something. There were multiple possible arrangements. She found it bizarre how quickly she was adapting to this new member of the family being here.
