Private Finished Lighten the Mood

To say that Alby didn’t want copies of those pictures would’ve been a lie. Not for humiliating Eein, but for seeing what the plant looked like and in action.

“You should’ve called me, I woulda whooped that plant then taken pictures afterwards.” Alby smiled. It was unclear whether or not he was being serious.

“If you’re going out after more of those you should probably bring someone with you at least. Someone strong, smart and prepared for anything.” Alby was referring to himself but it might not have been so obvious to Eein.

Alby frowned again. "I'm tougher than I look. It'd take more than a pile of leaves to do me in. If I bought a whole ton of salt and carried it around with me, one of those things would probably dehydrate and die if they tried to eat me." He then walked a little closer to Eein and put his arms on his hips.

"I know you're really strong and all, but you aren't invincible. The same way you worry about me, I worry about you. That's why I want to come with." Alby's manipulative side was starting to show a little.

Admittedly, the salt plan was shaky. The entire thing was based off of a science fair he’d seen a few years ago. Plants would absorbs salt through their roots and it would kill them by dehydration. The issue is that took time and there was a good chance he’d get eaten before the plant actually died. He would also be banking on the fact that the plant would be able to absorb salt through the same place as it tried to dissolve him. And even with all of that, there wasn’t much of a plan for what he’d do with the next one after the first one was dealt with and he was all out of salt.

Alby looked kinda seriously at Eein when he asked the yes or no question. “No.” But he quickly added. “But that just means I can’t get caught first.”

Alby just let the subject change happen. He really wanted to go see giant monster plants, but it was becoming clear that Eein wasn't his ticket towards that.

"Yeah sure, I could definitely use a break to do something fun after the week we just had." Alby smiled again. "I've always wanted to check out the space station. I haven't actually been inside most of the stuff in the city either. Parties sound fun too!" Alby was pretty much down for any of those things.
