By seven PM the pier was piled high with people. Teenagers looking to make out and grope, adults getting drunk, and children fighting over the best spots to watch the show. It was noisy and the smell of alcohol, the ocean, and deep-fried food combined to create a heady scent.

Shay had arrived fifteen minutes before seven to try and find her group of friends a good seat. They didn't sit on the pier, but she'd laid out a blanket on the sand nearby and set them up. Vito had ordered that her, Sherry, Addy, and Troy be back by ten Pm. That was when the streets were unsafe for children, he said. Shay wasn't sure about that, but she didn't fight it. He'd provided a driver to take them and their friends home once ten o'clock rolled around, and Shay fully intended to use that. To drag out their time together.

Once she'd fixed up the blanket and smoothed it out, Shay sat and stretched out her legs, looking skyward. The night was warm, and for that she was thankful. Shay hadn't brought a jacket with her.

Oh boy was Sherry excited. For a young teen, being invited to a party like this was the best thing that she could dream of. In the last few months, her entire world had been switched around by her run in with Eroshay. Their family has been treating her with extra care; ever since she became part of their household. Though there wasn't an overly strong connection with Vito, Klaus and her, the friendship between her and Shay was almost inseparable. Mansmasher3000 felt like she always had something to look forward to.

That night though, she was happy to be a part of her first ever fireworks show! Yes, her father had taken her when she was a wee little baby; but of course she didn't remember that. The long haired girl was going to be with her closest friends, and of course, Troy. Though it may seem weird for her to gravitate towards such a troubled looking child, Sherry found that something that made him even more unique. Even to that fact; she had come alone to the gathering, as she always wanted to be there early. When her eyes spotted the blanket on the sand, she ran over and did a cartwheel onto the blanket, standing perfectly with her arms raised to the sky. "Hello Shay!" Her excitement was not concealed behind her voice. With a big plop, she sat beside the main girl and smiled. "Thank you for inviting me, this looks like it will be really fun!"

Meili was all for going out and having fun. In fact she was pretty much always having fun, depending on how you spun it. Sure she had turned into the kid that shop owners didn't like standing outside her shop, but she was fine with it. She was pretty sure she was never getting back to her dimension. That being said, founders day was something that was the same in both dimensions and she could enjoy that.

Mei found Sherry and Shay on the blanket and waved as she walked up to them. She wasn't sure if she was gonna enjoy the show with her family.. Her real family but she was gonna try. She never liked to show her emotions so she just put on her normal mellow mask as she sat down next to them.

"Hey guys I brought drinks" She said as she struggles to pull a small cooler from her large bag. One of the four spells she could do right, came in handy. She set the cooler to the side of the blanket and pulled out a soda.

"Has kaiser floated through yet?" She asked offhandedly. The ghost had been her boyfriend since Halloween last year and she still couldn't bring herself to act all mushy if he wasn't around.

Addy was excited, she was going to her first founder days thingie. She had shown up and caught a glimpse of shay but got distracted. Instead she went to flirt with some guy standing alone on the pier. When that got boring she figured she'd go and find her sister and her friends.

It wasn't hard, once she started looking and soon she was plopping down in the sand kicking off her wedges. "Hey! This is gonna be epic"

Nicò made his way to the designated meeting place. There wasn't much change in his appearance as he wore the usual fancy get up.

There was already a lot of people here despite being early. He assumed they are all trying to get a good spot to enjoy the fireworks. He liked fireworks as they reminded him of home in Italy.

He kept himself from getting distracted and kept pushing through the ever-growing crowd of people until he ended up seeing Shay and the others.

"Hey. Thanks for inviting me." he smiled and waved.

————————

Kaiser floated above the crowd with Andy on his head. One of many pros of being dead is he could easily get to places without trouble. The ghost kid scanned the area from above and took a picture from his spot. "That's going to come out great!"

He was being Kaiser and taking way too many pictures as usual. He got a video of this guy trying to chug some Sprite which ended with it coming out of his nose and pictures of some cool stuff. Basically he took his time geeting to the meeting spot.

Of course he wasn't just going to be all "normal" about his entrance. He was a ghost so he became invisible and floated the rest of the way there. Coincidentally he arrived just at the time Mei said his name.

"Boo!" Kaiser then just appeared in front of Mei grinning. "Maybe I should have waited until you said my name three times." he said jokingly as he hugged Mei and turned to face the others. "Hey Shay and others, Andy also gives his greetings too."

Shay wasn't surprised by Sherry's entrance, nor that she was the first to the meetup location. Instead, Shay laughed good-naturedly and waved at her friend and housemate. "Hey, Sherry." She grinned and made more room on the large blanket for Sherry to sit. "You don't need to thank me. My friends are your and Addy's friends. Shay peered around.

Eroshay was still talking when Mei arrived, so the raven-haired girl only offered a wave before she went on, still addressing Sherry. "Speaking of, you didn't happen to see Addy on your way over, did you? I have to keep an eye on her and make sure she's not up to any trouble."

Now, Kaiser's appearance did make Shay jump, but it didn't take her longer than a second to recognize his voice. "Yup. He floated through all right, Mei." She wiggled her fingers at Kaiser before looking into the cooler Mei had brought with her. Shay figured someone in the group (most likely Mei) would bring food and drinks along.

There was a lot of soda. Shay wasn't a fan of soda, and Vito rarely let the kids drink it, so she dug further until she found something she deemed worthy and pulled it out. Apple juice. That worked. She undid the lid and took a swig.

"Hey, Nico! Glad you could make it." She noted the suit. A constant, as far as she'd seen of him. Shay rubbed part of the blanket off, getting it as clean and sand-free as was possible on a beach and offered him her opposite side from Sherry. "If you wanna sit. I don't know how particular you are about your suits, but sand shouldn't ruin it either way."

When she saw beyond Nico to Addy, who sauntered up and plopped in the sand (dirtying some of the blanket while she was at it), relief flashes across Shay's face. Her chest loosened and she waved in greeting to her adoptive sister. "Yeah, I've been excited for it all day! Vito got us all a driver so that we can get back to our respective homes safely."
With a thread this large, I'm saying screw posting order and feel free to rapid post if you all want.
