A therapist, maybe, but that felt far too personal to say. People tended to not like that suggestion, because people thought it implied... something. That they were crazy. Jude got that, in a lot of ways--he'd certainly been upset enough about it when Officer Genovese had insisted he get it--and he wasn't willing to broach it.

"I'm from an alternate dimension," Jude said. "Basically, Angelo is the me from this world, and I'm the me from another world. And we have a lot of similarities, but also a fair number of... 'what if this was different'. So you know, there's that."

Just as Zora was about to comment on what Jude had told her about him and Angelo, she heard her phone suddenly go off.

"Sorry Jude, if you'll excuse me one second," Zora said as she glanced at the screen and saw it was from her grandfather, switching over to Spanish the moment she answered.

"Yes, grandfather, of course, I am free in about an hour or so..." she said, glancing at her watch and seeing the time. "I can meet you there, let me wrap a few things up. I'm just in an important meeting," Zora said she turned and smiled at Jude. "I'll see you then." she said ended the conversation.

"I'm afraid I need to get back to the office. I have a family meeting in about an hour," she explained to Jude. "My grandfather is in town and he wants to talk business this evening," she said bracing herself mentally for the reunion, she never quite knew how he'd take what she wanted to ask him.

Jude went quiet the moment the phone went off. He knew how things worked. He was used to this--in part because his father had done it all the time--but the fact that she swapped to Spanish did absolutely nothing to impair his understanding. It was like when someone on TV started getting translated over, with Giltenn's voice seeming to whisper into him and tell him what was being said.

He nodded quickly when she said she had to go, getting ready to go himself.

"I need to sort out your four-o-clock tomorrow. They want to move it up to three, but you have the meeting with Aniika Tech at that point."

From there, it was easy enough - he kept it professional, keeping pretty quiet as they headed back to work.
