Caissa had the money that she needed in savings: Mr. Volkov made sure of that. She had the design more or less worked out in her head. She knew how the magic needed to go together for what she wanted. What she didn't have was someone to put it all together for her. She would have done it herself if she could have. She was pretty sure she could preform surgery on herself.

But that wasn't possible. And with the Japanese man on the space station not dealing with magic and now Donny Damascus not dealing with something so finely tuned, she was having trouble recalling who else could help her.

That was until, having a smoke after leaving Damascus Arms, Caissa saw someone who jogged a whole lot of memories really quickly. One of the Oricenta, she could tell. Airda Leizu? That sounded right. The flood of memories that came back to Caissa gave her a general impression, but that was all she needed. A skilled technomagic engineer. Related to a doctor. And part of a family with some questionable dynamics from what little Caissa had actually seen in public.

That last part might not matter so much: but Caissa was still willing to leverage it if she needed to. Putting out her cigarette, she closed the distance between the two of them. She was all smiles as she cut Ade off from wherever she was going, the scarred side of her face unconsciously showing less so as not to be too off-putting immediately.

"Heeeeeeey, you're Arida Leizu right? You do, uh... acting through Theia, yeah?"

Ade planned on spending the day relaxing. With her work for the day done and her kids busy, she figured she could spend some time at Donny's shop. Discuss some ideas they were working on, most likely. There was always something Ade was working on. A lack of work got her antsy.

Before she could enter the shop, she was stopped by a young-looking girl. Based on the way she spoke, she probably wasn't a fan or an interviewer. The tone was too unsure. How disappointing. Speaking to people interested in her life was always a joy.

"Er... Yes, that's me? Do you need help with something?"

Caissa's lips pressed together, her smile drawing thinner and a bit more menacing as they did. She turned and stood more to Ade's side, both to force the Oricenta's gaze to follow her and to obscure herself a bit from any nosy individuals who might be able to read lips. "Granted, I only know your acting stuff in passing. What I really know about you is your work with magitech. From what I've actually managed to see and hear about, you're insanely talented. That voice modulator mask? Absolutely genius."

She gestured to the obvious scarring on the right side of her face. "I'm a demon and I got summoned a few weeks back by some hack witch. She didn't like me getting snappy with her, so she threw boiling water on me. Left me blind in this eye."

"So help is exactly what I need, actually."

Ade stared blankly at the girl. Multiple thoughts were running through her mind in the few seconds that she was silent. A random girl came out of nowhere to ask for help with blindness in her eye. Okay, she could understand that. This random girl also spoke about her creations, implying she needed her magitech skills.

"Wh-What?" Ade stammered out, the confusion rushing to her face all at once. She hadn't meant to respond in such an unflattering way. The lack of charisma would have been a sore sight for Béatrice. Henghai would be cringing at how she let herself be a follower of the conversation, not a leader. But this came out of nowhere.

Rubbing her forehead and shaking her head once, she forced the return of her composure. She had to keep up the impression of being the cool, badass Leizu. Following Caissa's movement and taking note of that unnerving smile, she replied in an almost carefree tone, "I'm happy to hear you're an appreciator of my work, but I'd rather get to the point. What kind of help are you looking for, exactly?"

"I need my eye, Arida," Caissa said matter of factly, her good eye's pupil dilating with the sudden rush of excitement she felt. "I can't go to a doctor: they don't do after market modifications and they couldn't manage the delicate work I need done even if they did."

She crossed her arms and shifted her weight to the side. "I can pay; money isn't an issue."

What the fuuuuck. Why was she being dragged into all of this? This was bullshit. The way this... not-kid spoke was unnerving as all Hell. It was hard to see her as an adult when she was so used to looking at people her age as kids. Ade's real name being used wasn't very comforting either.

She looked around, realizing this wasn't a good place to talk. "How about we walk and talk? Discuss things out? I could probably find someone else better suited to the task. I'm just an engineer and actor. I'm no surgeon. I'd be completely unequipped to handle the, as you put it, delicate work you need done."

"Fine, we can walk. But I do have to apologize. I'm getting ahead of myself. I don't just need the eye put in: I need it built in the first place. And for the specific needs I have, I need a magitech engineer."

As they walked, Caissa pulled up the plans that she had drawn up on her phone. An eye with a USB port attached to the optic nerve. Typical magitech functionality to let the eye see; likely something Ade would be at least passingly familiar with if she was interested in magic prosthesis at all. But more than that: a space for storage and magic circuits that connected that storage to the USB for... some purpose.

"I have perfect memory, which is nice. But I can't exactly use that for anything that requires I provide evidence for what I'm saying. I want to be able to show when I tell."

Ade listened silently to everything the girl was telling her as they walked away from Donny's shop. As the conversation continued, Ade's face twisted more and more into confusion and suspicion. Yes, she was interested, but something about this felt... off.

"So all I have to do is make it and enchant it?" she asked. Partially for clarification, partially to herself as she began thinking about what an interesting task it would be to work on. Ade was already working out what materials she would need to make an eye like this. Not currently in the acting mindset, she allowed a small smile to show up on her face.

"There's a couple of things I need to be clarified. First, what's your name? Second, do you have someone to properly install the eye? And thirdly, what do you actually plan to do with the eye?" The last one was just curiosity speaking, but she would appreciate knowing what her technology was being used for. "Want to provide evidence for what you're saying? Something like that could very easily be abused."

"Arida, if I wanted a bunch of really incriminating questions asked of me, I would have gone to a surgeon and then the therapist they referred me to. The money I'm offering is for parts, labor, and discretion. Much easier for you to be discrete if you legitimately don't know the answer to questions."

Caissa grinned a bit, clicking her phone screen off before Ade could see any more of the schematics. The change in posture and tone made it clear that Ade was interested in working on the design.

"But no. I don't have someone to install the eye or the socket. I'm sure you can manage if you really put your mind to it."

Ade grimaced. She had a point. "A nickname would be appreciated, at least." Viewing her as the girl or the kid was annoying enough, but the fact that she had Ade's real name and Ade had no information on her was particularly aggravating.

Ade let out a fake sigh, pretending that she only just decided she was on board with the idea. "Alright. My wife or husband should be able to help with the installation part. I'd prefer to not get more of my family wrapped into this unless necessary." She didn't need to contact Béa or Henghai to see if they would approve of this. Béa would be up for the task, and if she couldn't handle putting in a cybernetic eye, Henghai would throw himself in so she wouldn't botch a poor girl's operation.

"So, how do you want to go about this? I'm all ears."
