Lex thought that she really didn't want to meet Trephas' older brother, but she didn't say as much. Instead, she walked with Trephas to the hospital wing, and looked up at the roof. It was no longer boring white, but instead a beautiful, artistic mix of colors, all swirling and intertwining to make the roof peaceful, but colorful and cheerful at the same time. "Like I said..I'm pretty sure it was the flying monkey aliens that did it." she said in a feignes serious voice, widening her eyes innocently, though the way her shoulders shivered a bit said that she was trying desperately to keep a straight face, and not to laugh. She was very proud of her art work, and didn't plan on being caught, since she didn't even leave fingerprints on her brushes. She looked up at the roof. It looked better in the light of day, than it had when she'd done it in the middle of the night. She hadn't really been able to see it then.

As they walked in, Trephas looked up, and a he was a bit shocked, but then he smiled, and his eyes widened in amazement. It was so beautiful, with all the designs. He then laughed and looked at Lex. "I wish I could see those alien monkey ships! I love to see there designs!" He said jokingly, and he looked up again, and walked quietly to the middle of the room, and turned around looking at the many designs. "This is wonderful! Now the next time I'm here I won't have to stare at that horrible ceiling!" He said, enjoying himself looking at the designs. He looked at Lex again, with a smile on his face that was almost like a child on Christmas morning, also his eyes shined with the emotion.

Lex joined him in the center of the hospital wing, smiling up at the painting. "I'm pretty sure that if you see the inside of their ships, they turn you into one." she added just as jokingly, finally allowing her laughter out of her. It felt good to laugh, and her soft laughter echoed around the empty hospital wing. As she laughed, she came to a realization. Trephas was so special to her because he touched her. A hand on her shoulder, a hug, etc. He cared. Probably not as more than a friend, but he still cared enough to touch her.

When he looked at her, the joy visible in his normally emotionless eyes, she smiled. Without thinking, she reached up a hand and touched the side of his face gently. Then she realized what she'd done, and dropped her hand to her side, a slight flush rising in her cheeks. She directed her attention to the roof.

"That would really suck." Trephas said laughing. He was relaxed, as he stood there looking at the ceiling and then he looked at Lex again, and she touched his cheek. He smiled. But she removed her hand. He reached up his own hand and took some of her hair in his fingers. His breathing was calm, and his eyes gentle.

"Don't worry, you don't have to worry about touching me..." He said then thought for a moment, and a laugh left him. "I don't have a acidic face do I?" He said with a laugh.

Lex glanced back at him, and grinned when he asked if he had an acidic face. "Yes!" she said, "I'm melting!" with that, she buckled her knees, and collapsed on the floor. Then she changed her position so that she was looking up at both Trephas and the ceiling. She wondered for a moment if Kane was going to come to the school. It'd been a month since she sent her letter. She figured she'd better tell Trephas. "My brother might be coming to this school..." she said reflectively, as though there really wasn't that much interesting stuff. Possibly, she said it to change the subject too.

Trephas laughed, when she fell to the floor. And he watched her. She had a brother? She had a lot he didn't know about, but he would in time, he had a long time, in less, he and his family found a way home, but he doubted it. "I never knew you had siblings, I guess I just never thought to ask that." He said, smiling. He looked up, at a clock, that was above the doorway out. It was getting later. He looked at the ceiling again, and sighed. He would love to continue to look at it, but the party waited.

"When your brother arrives, I would love to meet him." He said to Lex. "We should be going."

Lex nodded and stood. "I'd have told you sooner, but with all this stuff going on I hadn't found a good time." she explained, cocking her head and smiling up at him. "Kane will love to meet you too." She didn't add that if Kane didn't she'd beat on Kane for it.

Then she glanced back at the clock. It was getting later. "Yeah, we probably should." she told herself that a populated place would be better, but as she smiled up at him, all she wanted to do was spend time with just him. She mentally kicked herself for thinking that, and trotted over to the door, looking over her shoulder at him, and waiting for him to come.

He listened to her. Kane? Wonder how he is... obviously he is nice, or Lex wouldn't seem happy about, Trephas thought, and as Lex trotted to the doors, he followed her. He reached the doors and opened one for her. "Lady's first, as is polite." He said, grinning. If he was at home, or his mom here, she would go on and on, saying that he didn't do it right. She always finds some type of flaw.

"Do you have anymore siblings I should know about?" He asked a little playfully.

She stepped out of the door after Trephas told her to go first, and then slowed her stride for him to catch up with her before answering his playful question. "No, just Kane. We were all we had for a long time." she said fondly.

((OOC: OK... Time Jump time!!))

After Time Jump:

Trephas walked to the barn, Lex at his side. The lights in the barn were lite, and voices were heard. Dancing and singing, laughter, and chatting. He looked at the barn, and his eyes brightened. Too bad Eben won't be here, he thought. Eben didn't want to come, for to many people were going to be there, and he would get a terrible headache.

"I like barns, when I'm alone in one, it is always very calm, and I like it. My family at our houses have many barns to keep animals, and feed for them, and it always smells, but I like it." He said, not really thinking about what he talked about.
