Sev spent a good portion of the morning in the bath. Washing off blood and cleaning out wounds from his over night hunting trip. He had just got into the house and decided to take over the bath. When he finally decided to get out he took a towel to dry his body. Taking a moment to look at the mirror as the Azure blue scales shined and his wings were neatly tucked onto his back. Rubbing his shoulder a bit as a few scars he had opened from their stitches. Taking some bandages he rolled them around his torso.

Taking his time to make sure he would be okay as he then slung the towel over his shoulder. Thinking he was home alone as he took a minute to scan the living room. Shrugging as he moved to the kitchen and took out a jog of milk, and a glass and filled the glass. Turning on the TV to the news to figure out what the weather would be like later if he wanted to go wolf hunting for some extra cash.

Raining. Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat.

He did think about staying inside when he heard it was going to rain. he was still naked in the kitchen. leaning over the counter to look at the TV. Casually taking sips from the milk. The towel then dropped to the floor off his shoulder as he looked down at it, using his foot to toss it into the air and he grabbed it and put it on the counter.

"Welp, sounds like today is gunna be a lazy day for once."

Reina was out running.

She ran every day without fail, but today she was running a lot longer than she normally did. She had a lot of pent up energy.

Her teacher had gone out hunting last night without her again. Told her not to wait up, and to focus on doing drills. The gun-lance wielder couldn't blame him though--her performance in the last hunt they'd gone on together had been less than perfect, with 30 overall missed shots and accidentally unleashing a full charge not once, but twice right into Sev, sending them both careening away from the monster they were trying to take down.

Of course Reina understood why she couldn't go.

That didn't mean she didn't want to go.

Bergentrückung was strapped to her back to add a little weight to the run.

When the sky suddenly opened up, Reina didn't want to go back. But keeping Bergentrukung out while it was raining was just asking for issues.

Getting back to the house was the easy part. She slotted the key into the lock and turned it, kicking the door closed behind her.

"Sev are you back yet?" Her chest rose and fell heavily, as she dripped water.

Unstrapping her gunlance she took a few steps into the house before noticing that 1, yes, Sev was home, and 2, Sev was naked.

"ACK!" she covered her eyes. "Come on dude, can you not have your meat flopping around where we actually prepare meat?"

Sev heard the door unlock. Blinked a few times and looked down. First words that came to mind were 'oh' and 'shit' He realized he had no time to run into his room to change or even put the towel on.

"Mornin' Reina. Seems you got a little wet." He said with a bit of a smirk. It could be considered punishment enough for the last hunt as she mentioned his utter nakedness. Watching her cover her eyes he laughed a bit and walked into the hallway.

"THIS MONSTER GOES WHERE HE PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASES!"

He laughed.

"Yeah yeah.. I'll go put clothes on ma'am." He said moving to his room which was on the first floor and she had the room on the second. Grabbing some shorts and very tight fitting shirt as he put them on.

"SO hows was the run in the rain? Bergentrukung alright?" He partially yelled from his room. Grabbing his small bag as he walked back into the living room and put his hand inside. Pulling out the sword and shield he had made; Pandemonium's Requiem. A sword that emanated a dark aura as he placed it and the shield on the table. There was a nice blast marking on his shoulder and his side from where Reina had hit him.

"Ya know, you're getting a little better at wielding that thing.. just gotta be careful of that friendly fire.. Who knew you would be so good with a shaft that can explode at any moment."

He snickered a bit. Awaiting to either be hit by her hand.. Or the gun lance.

... Or both.

After dealing with Sev for almost 5 years, you'd think she would be used to his antics. And yet, she really wasn't. She elected to ignore his comment except to groan loudly. "This monster is going to get charged again and assure you that it will not be an accident this time."

She didn't uncover her eyes until she heard him go into his room and exhaled. She moved towards the steps, reaching behind her to unlace herself from her exercise clothes and dry off. "It was cold and unpleasant." She answered from the doorway of her room before getting dressed again in something dry, bringing a small kit from her room to do maintenance on her weapon.

Seeing Sev dressed when she returned was a pleasant surprise.

"Ya know, you're getting a little better at wielding that thing.. just gotta be careful of that friendly fire.. Who knew you would be so good with a shaft that can explode at any moment."

She swatted at him with the lance.

"Shut up you. Maybe you shouldn't get in front of me when I'm lining up my shot."

That being said, she did feel bad about hitting him. She'd been so hyper-aware of him after the first time that it was hard for her to aim at the monster, lest she hit him again.

But she ended up hitting him again anyway so. So much for that.

Sitting down on the floor, she started disassembling Bergentrukung, carefully inspecting each part for wetness, rust, or other damage.

"You're not dead, so I assume the hunt went well."

"Yeah yeah. I got cha." He said with a chuckle when she hit him. Though he did feel better for the first time when he ran into the first blast trying to get the monster to get closer, but instead.. He got hit. He didn't blame her for it.

Even after Five years Sev felt like he was making progress as a teacher. Not so much as a friend per say. So he shook his head for a moment as if to get something off his mind as he took a cloth and started to clean his blade. The curved sword that had an eye on the handle where the blade itself looked more like a wing than a sword. The shield was a little dirty with dried blood on it. Looked like his and a weird green. The shield looked like two angelic wings spanning out.

"Yeah. To a point. Seemed that two of them were worse than you. Both of them got downed and I had to spend time covering the other guy to get them back to camp." he said with a bit of a sigh and looked up. "You know.. I coulda used you to, but just didn't think you were ready for a full dragon hunt hunt just yet."

he watched her take about her lance as he chuckled. "You know, taking it a part isn't too bad of idea. Regular maintenance for a weapon like that is a good thing to do." He stated. Looking at the time he gave it thought. "I feel like a beer.." He got up and went to the kitchen and went to grab a beer from the fridge.

To see no beer.

"... You hid all my beer didn't you?.." Then his eyes opened. Realizing...

Gun.. Lance...

Shellings..

He looked out the back window.

He saw some damage on the stand he created.

"YOU SHOT ALL MY BEER DIDN'T YOU!?"

"I mean, I can't hunt Tetsucabras and Kecha Wachas forever," she said, looking at him out of the corner of her eye. She oiled the parts where metal bits would rub together before slowly starting to put the weapon back together again. She'd most of her early years picking up various weapons only to put them down again and decide that they weren't for her. But the gunlance, Bergentrukung, she thought she'd really found her calling.

It was slow, but its charged shots offered a lot of recoil, so she could make up for it using her own powers. Plus, it offered a guard option, which for someone who tended to succumb to tunnel vision when hunting, sometimes proved invaluable for when a monster decided it wanted in on the action.

"If they were worse than me, does that mean I'm gonna fight a dragon-dragon soon?"

Reina watched out of the corner of her eye when Sev got up. She checked the time. "It's barely noon. Don't you think its a bit early for a--"

Oh shit.

Should she.... should she tell him?

"You told me to practice my accuracy!" She said defensively. "What better way to practice than shooting your nasty alcohol water?"

"Yeah. I might bounce you up to Rathalos and Rathian soon. They are a problem, but it's a lovers quarrel between those two. If things get dicey I can jump in." He spoke.

Though when it came down to his beer he shot a glare over to her.

"DIDN'T MEAN YOU HAD TO SHOOT MY BEER!" he rose his voice. Rubbing his eyes as he grabbed a bottle of pop and opened it. Taking a sip as he put it down on the counter after. Sighing heavily.

"Swear to god Reina." He shook his head. Walked over to her and lightly hit her hear. Enough to make a point, but not enough to hurt as he laid on the couch. "I will take you back to the village." He said jokingly. He would never do that. Reina was a great person to have around and was honestly a great partner in hunting. It make Sev's weapon changes on field easier and made hunts so much easier for the most part.

"Hey Reina? Whats your perfect date?" He asked inquisitively. They had been together for a while and he did know her well enough, though it was more of a.. Curiosity that was making this man be curious.

Reina knew she shouldn't laugh, but she couldn't help it.

"Aw, you've seen all those old movies with the training montage. You gotta set up the cans and shoot them to test your accuracy. Besides," she said as she tightened the last piece into place and fired her empty gunlance. The click it made was a good volume and seemed to have a good response time. "You like beer fed tomatoes, don't you?"

She unloaded it into its carrying mode and leaned it carefully against the wall, cleaning off her hands.

"No you wouldn't. You hate hunting alone."

Maintence taken care of, she started to stretch. She twisted her arm over her head bent her body back, and feeling all the tense muscles in her body turn into liquid as she sank to the floor in a pleasured puddle of relaxation.

She almost didn't hear his question.

"Date?" She echoed. "You aren't hitting on the quest ladies again are you?"

Actually, she hadn't given it much thought. "I think I would like the standard date. Yanno, dinner at nice restaurant with some fancy mixed drinks, maybe some classy dancing....."

"What about you Sev?"

Ahhh beer fed tomatoes... His favorite food on the go. Got him a little tipsy when he ate a bunch and still had a great taste. He licked his lips. "I need to get more of those..."

He then gave some thought to hunting alone again. She was right. "Good point. Plus, whose gunna keep me in line?"

"Nah, I stopped hitting on them a long time ago." He blinked a few times. He still remembered the one time he had a quest taken out from under him when he was too busy trying to get a date from a quest giver and he shook his head. "Mainly because none of them seemed interested as well as it would be awkward breaking up with them. Imagine seeing the same person who hates your guts every day trying to get quests."

"Well, was just curious for the most part." He gave some thought to his own perfect date. "Well.. I guess it would be going hunting, but then staying in the area for a night and have a picnic or something like that. Knowing the area is safe to walk about and enjoy the view."

The he realized. They had been going on what he would consider dates for a while. His face turned red as he put a wet wipe over his face so he could A)Hide it and B) clean his face.

"I mean if i hated you and always had to give you quests I'd just lie about it all the time." She said from the floor, craning her neck to look at him from her relaxed position. "Be all like 'yeah sure this is a standard one, bring back 6 Unique Mushrooms.' but there are only 3 gathering sites and there's nothing but Deviljho running around."

A pause.

"But that's just me."

She moved her hands to cushion her head. Her stomach, toned and bare as it normally was, was grumbling quietly, but she wasn't feeling up to the challenge of getting off the floor yet. She also didn't really wanna make herself something to eat yet, because she was fairly certain they needed to go food shopping.

No one wants to look at an empty fridge.

Hearing what Sev thought of his ideal date, she let out a small laugh. "Wow, you're easy to please. We do that all the time."

She elected to go with the idea that he was easy to please rather than the other option. Which was just embarrassing. "Is the fridge full?"
