Ophion had fully intended to run for student council. Months ago he'd even come up with campaign slogans and poster drafts, only then the Tsunami hit and everything went to hell. He had lived, of course (although he'd gotten the world's worst cold in the process), but most of his childhood home was in ruins, and he'd needed to check in on his mother frequently. Snakes didn't do well with cold water, and unfortunately the ocean was very cold.

So the election had fallen by the wayside until the very last day, when he'd headed to the administration wing to turn in his entry. The whole thing seemed pointless to him, but at the same time he felt like it would make a good impression for next year to say that he'd run.

Only the instructions hadn't been clear at all. He knew he was supposed to drop his entry somewhere in the administration wing, but beyond that? No idea. It had probably been said somewhere along the line, but he'd missed that part, and was left wandering through the halls, trying to figure out where exactly the 'administration wing drop box' was supposed to be.

Jeriya shivered gently, as he ran into the building. A large gust of wind had almost knocked him off his feet, had it not been for the structure of the school. A large gasp of relief ushered out of him as she shook his wind hit body. It took a second for him to figure out where he was. Even though he wasn't a complete newbie to the structure of the island and it's locations; he was lost.

Thankfully, when he looked up, as sign saying Administration pointed away from him. Good, he'd be able to ask how to get from his room from there. Jeriya followed each turn that he was demanded to take, before he stumbled on the lovely new area to him. "Good." He uttered ever so softly, as he was already wanting to get out of this unknown area.

Out of the corner of his eye-as he waited for the lady to come back to her desk- he noticed a somewhat confused man to his right. Unsure if he should interrupt, he licked his lips. "Not to be rude-" He looked back to the desk to make sure the lady wasn't there before looking back and continuing. "-are you looking for something?"

He was used to giving tours, not getting them, so when someone abruptly asked if he was looking for something, he couldn't help but let out a little chuckle. He turned, glancing over his shoulder at the boy before straightening up, tucking his papers under one arm before offering his hand for a shake.

"I am, unfortunately. Trying to figure out where the student council applications are supposed to go. They're somewhere in here, I just... don't have an idea as to where that somewhere is," he confessed, glancing around and feeling somewhat disappointed when no magical sign appeared directing him to the correct location.

Maybe his new friend would just have to be his magical sign. "I don't suppose you're familiar with it enough to point me the right way?"

A shy smile crossed his lips, before he extended an empty hand and shook the man's hand. He let go after a few seconds as he directed his attention to his statement. "I'm glad I asked then, I suppose." Though, it was't as if he himself has any idea of where the application was supposed to go. This area was new for him too. The thought made him look around eagerly, as he felt almost obligated to help this person; or maybe just to get them away so he didn't need to panic.

"I'm not really sure." He hmmed to himself as he glanced to the desk again. "Let's see." He took a small list of events, that were sorted into color coated papers, tipping it upside down so everything fell on the front desk. It was messy yes, but it seemed the most effective way. "Events, events... Events!" His face lit up as he pulled out a blindingly yellow paper and sped read it. "It says... Here." He pointed to Student Council submissions. "The reason you can't find it, is because it's behind the desk, you have to hand it to the lady person or whatever." He said as he looked and saw a bell. Without thinking, he slammed his hand frivolously onto it, echoing the loud ting sound.

Ophion felt his heart give a little scream as the boy tipped the papers over, dropping them everywhere and spreading them willy nilly around the desk. He wasn't exactly an organized person by nature, but there was a method to his madness, and there was absolutely no method to upending the pile onto the desk.

Even if it was effective, Ophion was crying inside for the poor secretary who was going to have to clean it up.

"Oh." Somehow, that was worse than he'd thought, because that meant he was going to have to stay there--standing beside the mess--until someone showed up. He was probably going to get blamed for it, and he felt a bead of sweat drip down his neck at the thought of it.

"Did you just arrive, then? Or what brings you to the office?"

"SO I guess we will just wait." He looked at the pile, pushing it off to the right, which just made half of it fall onto the ground on either side. He tapped the bell again before he heard the next question. "I got here 2 days ago. Trying to find my way to my room from this direction is all." Jeriya nodded, though he doubted that the man really cared for what he had to say, he was obviously just stalling. Was he really that repulsive? Jeriya wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

After a few seconds, the lady came out, having a loud and horrified gasp come out of her as she saw the mess. "Which ones of you did this?" Jeriya took a step forward, before coughing. "T'was me, I was trying to find a paper." His now laid back demeanor showed how he felt a bit bad for his actions. "This man wants to sign up for the student council elections." He moved to the side for him.

Ophion couldn't help but wince as papers hit the floor. Someone was going to get in trouble, and he had a sneaking suspicion it was going to be him.

He was proven absolutely wrong when he stepped forward, taking all the blame for himself. It was hard not to feel a bit surprised, considering most people would have shifted at least part of the blame away, and he couldn't help but smile a little bit at the realization, clearing his throat.

"Partly my fault," he said, although it was only true if you really stretched, holding out his application. "I just wanted to drop this off - let me help you get this, alright?"

He didn't wait for a response, bending over and starting to collect the papers off the ground, stacking them neatly. There was no way he could figure out the order, but at least it wouldn't be as big of a mess.

"O-Oh." The lady seemed a bit flustered; maybe it was his looks, that even Jeriya couldn't deny where very prominent. She grabbed the paper, before rushing back into her office, coming back a few seconds later with the paper gone. "It will be done then, I hope you win." She had as she started to bend. "No need to." He said calmly as he hopped over the desk and went to pick up the papers. He knew that he was in the wrong, having so irrationally made a mess. That was him though.

Once all the papers were sorted on his side, he placed them back as best he could. "Oh yeah." He said as he gave the lady a piece of paper. "Where'd this be?" After a few seconds of direction giving, he nodded before he looked over at the man. "SO yeah, I guess you're all done here?"

"Basically done, yeah." He'd handed in his application, and there wasn't much else for him to do. He was done, and all he really had to do was wait. It was too late in the game for him to put up any posters, so he was banking purely on name recognition from all the people he'd toured around.

"Name's Ophion, by the way. I do tours, so if you do end up wanting one... well, let me know, alright? Happy to help." And he got paid a nice amount for doing so, which was always nice. Not a lot, but enough to pad his budget.

It would be easy enough to look him up, and with a quick little salute, he headed out of the office and back to his dorm.
