He'd smile. "Y'know, you're probably the sweetest person I've ever met," he'd chuckle a little. "Must be all the ice cream," he'd say, seeing her get a bit of ice cream on her nose.

Zeke would take a bite of his ice cream. "You got a little on your nose," he'd say with a chuckle, grabbing a napkin, "ok if I get it?" If he got the go ahead he'd wipe it away with the napkin.

"The ice cream good?" he'd take another bite of his own. "Once were ready we'll head to the beach," a romantic walk on the beach sounded perfect.

Lycia nodded and craned her neck towards his voice, sticking her nose out so he could dab the icecream remnants off. "But I did not have iced cream at home and I was always like this as far as I remember," she teased happily, although to be fair her memory wasn't always the most reliable of her features.

"It is very good. You always know the best food places to eat at. But I am ready for the walking when you are. If I keep sitting maybe I will get sleepy." Even with the sugar in her system, Lycia was naturally a very sleepy kind of person.

"You're the sugary princess of sweetness," he'd say with a chuckle, eating the last of his ice cream and letting her finish hers as well. "Well, let's hit the beach," standing he'd take her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. He'd pay for their meal before leading then out of the restaurant.

The nightmare boy would lead her in the proper direction, humming a bit as they went. Soon they came to their destination, the sand gently crunching under their feet. "Want me to hold your shoes?" he'd ask, "i know you like to feel the sand between your toes."

"Oh, and I had a sorta silly idea," he'd say with a blush. "I could play some music on my phone and we can dance a little in the sand?"

Lycia wiggled her fingers playfully as he held her hand and she followed along, trusting him to keep her from running into too many obstacles or tripping hazards. Smiling happily and humming along with him a little as they walked.

"Oh! That is a good idea- two good ideas. I would like to dance with you in the sand without the shoes on." She laughed and sat down immediately to start undoing her laces. "Why did you say it was a silly idea?"

He'd sit beside her, undoing the laces of his shoes. "Well.....," he'd chuckle, "I just briefly forgot that the silly ideas are usually the best ones." He'd set his shoes on a large rock, setting Lycia's next to them.

Standing he'd help her up, pulling out his phone he'd play the music, it was a simple but beautiful and romantic. Setting the phone by their shoes he'd take her hand. "I think I've gotten a bit better at dancing," he'd say with a chuckle as he lead her into a dance, his arms gently wrapping around her.

He loved these quiet private moments they shared, they always seemed so special. "Time has gone by fast, we've dating over a year, its been the happiest year of my life."

"That is ok, I will keep making the silly ideas for both of us if you forget," she giggled as she handed over her shoes and socks for him to place with his. She couldn't see the moon or the stars or indeed the lack of the sunlight but she could feel the coolness of the air, with a hint of dampness that always seemed to come from night air here.

Aside from the music playing and the sound of Zeke's voice she could hear the waves along the beach and those screechy flappy creatures people called bats. A light breeze brushed against her face and ruffled her hood and she smiled softly in the direction of Zeke's voice. She let him lead her slowly into some kind of dance for a moment and was about to comment on the time that had passed but some of her thoughts interrupted her other thoughts.

Which made her suddenly interrupt Zeke too with an outburst, "Wait! We can not start dancing yet." And she stopped to... apparently start wiggling her toes in the sand. Taking a few moments to enjoy the very simple but satisfying sensation. "Ok, we can do the dancing now."

He'd laugh a little, letting her wiggle her toes into the sand before again wrapping his arms around her waist. "You're always so full of life," he'd again lead her into a dance, "so full of smiles."

Zeke would hold her close as they danced, moving to the music, their feet gliding through the sand. "Y'know, before meeting you I couldn't dance at all," he'd chuckle, "luckily I've gotten lots of practice with you." He enjoyed every dance they had, and they were both forgiving of mistakes and mess ups.

The nightmare boy would gently lean his forehead against hers. "I love you Lycia," he'd say with a soft voice as they continued their dance under the moonlight.

Lycia let Zeke lead her as they danced, leaning against him as she listened to his words and moved her feet according to his movements as best she could. He kind of still smelled a little like the lasagna they had eaten and that made her giggle randomly.

"I like to have fun adventures and I like the fin adventures even more when you are coming with me, Zeke," she smiled towards his face. A little bit of sand was kicked up as she stumbled a but with him holding her so close there was no danger of her falling.

"I love you too. If my parents married me to you I would be happy with that." She admitted honestly. It might have been a bit of a shock to talk about marriage but that was just the thought that was in her mind. She did not like anyone her parents might have wanted her to marry and she did like Zeke.

Zeke would hum in thought. "I want to always been with you Lycia," he'd say, continuing to lead their dance and support her. "I know things in your culture makes it hard, but I'd love to marry you."

It was perhaps an odd thing to talk about for people their age, but it was perhaps something they needed to talk about. "I'll be eighteen in a few months, we'd both be adults, we could if you're ready." Lycia couldn't see it, but he was blushing.

He'd look at her a moment. "And...if you're parents do find you, well.....we'll deal with it, maybe convince them, I'll always be here, and either way, we'll figure it all out together."

There was a weight to their words that was apparently quite lost on the both of them. Lycia perhaps being too aloof to recognize it and Zeke not as well versed in the seriousness of marriage for Lycia and her family.

Lycia smiled and broke the dance for a moment to lurch forward and pull herself into a hug around Zeke's chest.

"I do not know how it works here. At home my father has to give me to a prince or a noble. Maybe we can make you a noble!"
