Private Finished Late Birthday Date

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Zeke had been quietly been calling himself that, in truth it wasn't really his fault, but he was telling himself it was. His sleepy girlfriend was rather forgetful when it came to things like holidays and birthdays, but he felt that he should have asked.

So here they were, holding hands, him leading her to one of the best restaurants he knew of. "Soooo...I'm gonna buy you food," he'd say with a chuckle, "gonna get you dessert, and then a gift."

The nightmare boy would give her hand a gentle squeeze. "And after that we do, pretty much anything you want to do love." @PixelatedGlory

He'd smile when she leaned on him. "Well, kinda, but food is gone once eaten," he'd say with a chuckle. "I want to get you something you can keep with you," he'd say with a thoughtful hum. "Something that you can always have."

The nightmare boy would open the door leading her in, the delicious smells getting stronger. "Ready to feast hon?" he'd ask with a smile, "tonight is on me." Which he didn't have all that much money, but he'd happily use it on her.

Zeke would lead them to a table, the waitress appearing and handing them menus, before realizing Lycia was blind and apologizing before scurrying off. "Ok love, what kind of food are you craving?" he'd ask, looking at the menu.

Chuckling he'd take her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I guess that's true, you can always remember how good it was," though Lycia was a little forgetful, as this date was showing. "I could always cook it for you in the dream again."

The nightmare boy would settle on a spicy lasagna, ordering it for both of them when the waitress returned. "I don't know, spicy bug pie could be good," he'd say with a chuckle, "and some of those chewy plants are good for you." Lycia always had a childlike innocence about her that he really loved.

He'd take a sip of his drink. "So, you're eighteen now, an adult as far as the island is concerned," he'd tilt his head, chuckling a tiny bit, "how's it feel?"

The napkin would land on his shoulder and he'd chuckle, "your aim is getting better." He'd pull off the napkin with his free hand, setting it on the table. "And don't worry, tonight in the dream we'll have a big birthday celebration for you," he'd say with an excited voice.

"Hmm...well, maybe," he'd chuckle, "as an adult here you can choose to do pretty much anything you want." The waitress would arrive with their drinks, setting them down. "You're a little older than me, so I'm not eighteen yet, but now you can do pretty much anything you want."

He'd take a sip of his soda. "So, whatcha want to do?"

Seeing her smile made him grin. "Sounds like a perfect romantic evening," he'd adjust his glasses, making sure his eyes were properly covered. "I love going on our walks, when it's just you and me," they'd been dating over a year now and he'd loved every minute of it.

"What'd you have in mind for the dream?" he'd ask curiously. "Gonna summon a heard of those cute animals you like?" he'd ask with a chuckle. "Or you gonna take me to that tower in the sky again? Or...both?" He had at least once idea for something.

He'd give her free hand a gentle squeeze. "You want me to stay over tonight?" he'd ask, "whatever you want, I'm yours hon." He'd stayed over a good number of times, he wondered if any of her neighbors were gossiping about it, his own dad had made some rather crude insults about it.
