Truth be told, as excited as Jude was, he was also surprised. They'd found Blade? He'd talked the matter over extensively, and come to the conclusion that they might never find her. With no powers and a lifetime of training, Blade was a master of blending in. Short of putting out advertisements across the whole of Japan (assuming she was even in Japan), there weren't exactly a lot of options. You couldn't just say HEY BLADE, WHERE ARE YOU? and have her pop out of the woodwork. She'd probably already taken on a new name, and even if she was looking for them all, she wasn't going to find them.

But maybe he'd underestimated her. Or overestimated her. Or she pulled out a katana and got arrested. He didn't know, and he hadn't been told. He'd just gotten a customary alert that someone was arriving who'd listed their home dimension as Halcyon City, and then he'd begged Officer Genovese to drop him off at the docks to wait.

He might have shown up a little bit early.

Okay, he might have shown up a lot early.

So he was really just sitting there near the docks, waiting for the next set of arrivals, and wondering if maybe he shouldn't have planned things better.

Broen was in his bunk on the ship until the last possible second. He wasn't gonna move anymore than necessary. When it did dock, he was shrunk and out of the room before the crew could come check on him. He wasn't about to deal with being jostled around anymore. Treated like some petty fuckin criminal.

Up on deck, he tried to make a jump off to the pier. If he could just slip away, he'd be able to.... float uselessly in the air like a balloon. "Fucking what?"
He grew and the telekinesis being used on him gave out, dropping Broen to the deck floor with a dull thud. "Okay... ow?"

He stood up, brushing himself off and galring daggers at the crewman who had caught him. "The fuck you think you're looking at? Dumb Psychonaut looking motherfucker..."

Jude was not surprised in the slightest when there seemed to be some kind of trouble on the boat. Anyone on the boat needed to get processed, and Blade was not keen on that kind of thing. Really, the fact that they'd managed to get her on the boat at all was kind of impressive. The fact that-

Oh goddamnit.

Jude stood up, craning his neck as one of the crew members started to lecture someone who was picking themselves up. Someone who was definitely not Blade.

Maybe Blade was on the ship, but the odds seemed vanishingly small compared to the whole thing being a misunderstanding.

It was Paragon. It was Paragon, causing trouble. Looking very much alive. Maybe it was an alternate version of himself? Only it sure as hell looked just like him.

Jude subtly pulled out his phone, counting on the fact that Paragon was too busy arguing with the crew, and snapped a quick photo before dropping his phone back in his pockets.

Maybe he should go. Only no - not right now. There was no telling if it was the same Paragon. And if it was, Jude wanted to at least talk to him.

If nothing else, it meant it was more then just them.

Snatching his duffel bag from the crewman, Broen faked him out, lunging and stopping short of hitting him. "Punk-ass..." He turned and started down the ramp to the dock. Looking out at the people down there, he saw a familiar face. And grinned.

"Boyscout!"

Yep. Okay. That was definitely Paragon. Jude stood up, pushing himself off the seat and giving a way.

Once upon a time, he might have said something like hey asshole, only he'd long ago accepted he really wasn't cut out for slinging insults like Paragon was. So instead, he said something way more irritating.

"Hey Godfrey."

Did Paragon even know they knew his name? Probably not.

Bingo. Jude had to keep himself from smiling (which he did pretty badly--it obviously showed), and then lifted his hands, showing his palms in the universal gesture of surrender.

"I'm not here to fight," he said. "Just thought you were one of the gang, since I asked them to let me know if they picked up anyone else."

Jude paused a moment, considering.

"Are you going to stick with Paragon then?" Because god, he hoped not.

"Damn right you're not here to fight, bitch."
Broen relaxed, his eyebrows furrowing intensely as he shouldered his bag. People were looking around and he sneered at them until they stopped.

"The gang? Oh, the Junior Cocksuckers are here? Fantastic. Guess that makes sense though."
He huffed and smirked, watching for any reaction out of Jude.

"And no. It's Broen. You call me the fuckin G-word in front of anybody and I'll bury you, kid."

Yep. Insults. Only the moment Jude had seen him, he'd mentally braced himself, and he wasn't showing any real sign of being bothered. Really, he'd have been more bothered if Broen hadn't. Then he'd have been good and nervous.

"Broen," Jue confirmed, veeeeery obviously trying to make nice. "Just you then?" He didn't think there was, but worth asking. "You arrived pretty late."

"Nah, I've been here for a minute. Got dragged to this fuckin island. Something about the "Veil." Now I'm here. Hoorwy, right?"

Broen looked Jude over, trying to discern things aboua him. He still had his robo-hand. But he was sans costume. And his stupid arm gun. And all around, there were weird, very inhuman people. Not the kinds you found in Halcyon. Truly weird, like legit monsters.
