Iesha nods, then looks over to the teacher at his desk. He seemed to be busy with another student. Regardless, Iesha just raised her hand and just hoped that they would notice her. Waiting for nearly minute, Iesha was starting to think he didn't notice her. Iesha looked to Jayden, a bit hesitant of having to actually go up and ask him for help.

"Ummm... I t-t-think he is a bit busy. M-maybe we ssshould-"

"Iesha... Jayden... need something?" cut in the teacher, look to the two of them with a raised brow.

Iesha visibly flinches at the teacher's sudden appearance, not expecting him to come over to them nor appear so suddenly.

"A-ah! Urmm... just... we h-h-had a q-question about... ummm... just wasn't sssure about the sssome of the t-test b-because for sssome test we had a reaction while s-some of them we d-didn't and so we... we were w-wondering if t-that was suppose to happen."

The teacher nods slowly, glancing at their test set-up. Their was a slight smirk on his face as he looks to the two of them.

"So do you not trust your results? Let me see you have written down." requested the teacher and Iesha was quick to show him the observations they had listed down "Hrmm... well if you saw no chemical reaction then that is what you observed. So long as you honest and diligent with following the procedure then the results cannot lie. If there is still doubt test again. Test until their is no longer any doubts. Understood?"

Iesha just glanced at her notes, still not so confident of her results. Even less so of what the teacher's intentions where: where they just go along with their original observations or did he want them to redo the first 2 test all over again?

"Umm...y-yeah. Thank you..." stammered Iesha as she looked to the teacher, only find that he was already off assisting another group of students. It almost seemed as though he teleported away when they were not looking.

"Oh... ummm..."
Iesha then turned to Jayden, still a bit unsure what it was they should do "So... d-do you think he wants us to r-redo the test?"

Jayden had definitely flinched when the teacher just suddenly appeared before them. He wasn't expecting that, how can you even expect that? "Uh yeah, we need a bit of help."
Jayden just let Iesha ask the question. He would have did it himself but the whole suddenly appearing thing kinda threw him off for a bit.

Their teacher's response to Iesha's question was honestly kinda wack if Jayden had to be honest. It didn't really help explain anything? Just follow the procedure?? Once he was finished answering her question and poofed off to another group of students, Jayden just rolled his eyes. "Aight. Iesha I think we are doing fine. We followed the procedure and did exactly what it said so there is no way we made a mistake." He read over the worksheet just to confirm this.

"Let's just do the other one's and then we can test it all again. I guess? Scientists usually do the testing multiple times thing to see if they always get the same result using the same procedure."

Well when Jayden put it that way, they probably were fine. They followed the instructions listed on the procedure. So they should be fine... or at least she hoped they were.

"Y-yeah! Okay... l-let's work on the last o-one then. C-chemical C is w-were we left off I think..." Iesha then pulled over the jar labeled with a bit 'C' on it "Okay ssso... c-can you wash these t-t-tubes out w-while I get everything else r-ready?"

After making her question to Jayden, she would start setting up the station for next. By the time Jayden would return Iesha had everyone perfectly set up.

Jayden gathered the tubes that needed to be wash and made his way over to the sink to clean them. Once he had the tubes dried off, he made his was back over to their station with the newly cleaned tubes in hand. "Alright, the tubes are cleaned....again."

He placed the tubes back onto the station and then looked at his worksheet again. "Uh....so Chemical C. We just do the same thing right? If so that's easy. We definitely got this.....assuming we are doing everything right...."
Jayden eyed the Jar labeled chemical C and picket it up to inspect it. "I can do this one if it's fine by you."

"Oh good, you can sset them up over t-there." Iesha then pointed to the tube holder rack and looking over the set up.

"Y-yep. Sssame thing as we did with A and B." confirmed Iesha, part of her concerned that somewhere along the line there was a mistep during the experiment but... if there was something wrong she had no idea when and how. "I hope we d-did everything r-right too..."

She looked at Jayden, a bit surprised that he offered to run the last experiment by himself though she suppose it wasn't too much of a big deal who was pouring which chemicals into what tube. They just need to make sure to record reactions.

"Oh, ummm yeah t-that ssshould be fine... I'll d-do the recording then... umm... y-you can go ahead and ssstart."

Iesha observed the reaction within each tube and was glad to see a reaction from all four of tubes. The sample hydrochloric acid turned into dark ruddy brown as it continued to fizz vigorously, the potassium chloride sample turned into a neon lime green as did the magnesium chloride. The acetone solution interestingly turned into a light blue, then a deep purple color.

"Oooohh... okay i-interesting..." muttered Iesha, recording her observations. She then compared her results with with a list of reactions and the colors they produced. Seeing this a fun puzzle of sorts than a work assignment.

"Oh okay... ssso if that makes that reacts w-with that... and this... ummm... g-give me a minute to figure t-this out..."
said Iesha to Jayden though she seemed rather focused on the assignment at the moment. Once she thinks she figured it out she smiled with glee and shows Jayden a messy spiderweb linking various chemical names with one another.

"O-okay I think I f-f-figured it out! Chemical A is sssodium borate, B isss calcium carbonate, and C is zinc oxide! H-here you want to c-c-check?" Iesha then holds out her notes and scratchwork to Jayden for him to review.

Jayden set up the tubes where Iesha instructed and then slid his goggles back down over his eyes. "I'm pretty sure we followed all the instructions the right way." He said in response to Iesha. He was mostly hopeful mostly because he wasn't sure how they could have made a mistake if they followed every instruction.

Once everything was fully set up, Jayden began putting the chemicals into the tubes. He wasn't rushing the process because he honestly wasn't sure if it actually mattered how fast he had to put the stuff inside the tubes. When he had everything done, he then watched the reactions of the chemicals with Iesha. "Oh huh that's actually kinda cool they can just change colors like that."

Jayden actually never seen stuff like this before in person. His old school didn't allow them to be near any sort of chemicals for very obvious reasons. "I feel like Bill Nye the Science Guy right now." He was admiring his work even though he didn't really do much.
He took a look at what Iesha was showing him and then gave her thumbs up. He wasn't exactly sure if it was correct but it looked pretty damn close to him. "That looks fine to me. Sweet." He grinned at Iesha and then started filling out his worksheet. "So how do you know which is which? Is it because how they reacted differently from one another?"

Iesha nodded, growing a little bit more confident that they were doing things right even if that bit of doupt ate away at her. She had no idea who this Billy Nye person Jayden was talking about. He sounded like an important chemist that she should have known and didn't want to sound dumb asking about the science guy.

"Well... w-we are given a lissst of w-what colors we get depending on what reaction. Ssso if we know one of the c-c-chemicals and m-mix it with the unknown to g-get a certain color and compare it to a list... you can n-narrow down that the u-unknown could be and w-what it can't be. T-then its all about lining it u-up until you o-only have choice left! I-its funny... this actually r-r-reminds me of a p-puzzle from o-one of the video gamesss I played."

After her explanation, made sure her worksheet was all filled out and doubled checked Jayden's to see that his was correct as well. Now that the lab was completed, all that was left was turn it into the teacher and see if their results were good or if they needed to rerun something.

Looking over at the teacher at his desk, it didn't look promising as she could see a pair anxious waiting by the desk, only for the teach to turn their papers back and point at their lab set up. The dejected students sauntered back and she could have almost felt their pain from here.

"Ummm... sssso... r-ready?" nervously asked Iesha as she looked to Jayden. If she had to be honest, she didn't feel all that ready.

Jayden actually payed attention to Iesha when she started to explain how she was figuring which chemical was which. Her explaining the process made him realize it actually wasn't that hard to do once they did all the testing with the chemicals. It also made him realize that he probably should just......pay more attention in class. He probably could have done this on his own if actually payed any attention to what the teacher was saying.

"Oh, huh. That sounds surprisingly easy." He chuckled a bit as he made sure he properly filled out everything on his worksheet. Once he was done double checking their work he gave Iesha a nod.

"I'm feeling pretty confident in our work. We can turn it in now, unless you want to retest everything first. I'm cool with whatever you decide Captain." He smiled and then gave Iesha a salute. Jayden didn't think they needed to retest mostly because they followed all the instructions properly and Iesha was able to link everything together pretty easily it seemed, plus she was actually able to explain why she came to the conclusions she got for the answers.
So yeah, he was feeling pretty confident in their work.....mostly Iesha's work.

"O-okay. I-if you feel confident... l-letss turn it in and h-hope for best." Iesha smiled and slithered over to the teacher to hand him the lab assignment "Ummm... w-we are done with the l-lab."

The teacher then nodded and held out a hand to which Iesha placed the assignment. He looked over the results, nodding his head slowly but saying nothing. Iesha continued to wait with anticipation until at last he looked back up with a neutral gaze to cast his judgement.

"Well done... you two were the first to finish for today. See? You shouldn't doubt yourself. Clean up and put away everything at your station. Afterwards you two can can head out of class early if you like."

Iesha widen her eyes in surprise, half expecting to be told to do everything over again. Did she maybe worry too much? Either way it was a relief... and part of her was filled with pride that she and Jayden where somehow first to finish.

"O-oh thank you!" thanked Iesha as she couldn't help but smile.

"Oh don't thank me, it was all on you two and your hard work. Now... hurry on and clean up. I have other students to check." spoke up the teacher whom was already eyeing another pair of students approaching.

Iesha quickly slithers over her lab station, still reveling in her little victory.

"Umm... so we are all done and all we n-need is clean up n-n-now and t-then we can go." said Iesha as she looks over the station "T-thanks J-jayden... r-ready?"

"We are the first group to finish?" Jayden was clearly not expecting that. This was actually a first for him, being the first to finish something for a class. He was....well he was in-between feeling happy and feeling like the biggest dweeb in the class right now. He looked over to Iesha and just smiled at her. "See? I told you. We kicked ass....eeeerr butt."

Jayden followed Iesha back to their station and immediately started gathering everything on his side. He was trying to get everything put away as quickly as possible since the teacher was letting them out early, which was also something he didn't would happen. Jayden was literally just having his first time for everything on the island.

"Uh, I can get your stuff too if you wanted to head out now. I don't mind doing all the cleaning." As much as he just wanted to leave, he figured he kinda owed Iesha this. She mostly did all the work, he just poured shit into a tube.
