Lucas smiled and nodded "I would still really like to see it. It's not often I run into a fellow artist" he tried to make himself more sincere and interested. He had gotten a mantra of how to hoard friends from Klaus and he was trying to make it work.

"How about this, We can swamp books? That way its a fair trade" he said pulling his notebook out, various words in Hellenic were written across it in neat hand writing.

He was grasping at straws, he felt a Strong need to be the girls friend. Why wouldn't she want friends? Was he being to pushy? Was he not doing the whole friendship thing right? This was a bad time man, a bad time.

Live chuckled dryly. "I'm no artist." Yeah she drew pictures and made thing sometimes but artist...eh, she kinda doubted that word really applied to her.

"But okay. I guess we can do that. Although," She paused suddenly realizing what she was about to do, "uh, would it be okay if we went to the cafeteria? I'm kinda starving..."

Wow, she was inviting someone to lunch with her and allowing them to look at her sketchbook. This was a monumental day if there had ever been one.

Lucas smiled "Being an artist doesn't mean just paintings that hang in a gallery. It can be applied to those that just doodle for fun as well." What kind of muse would he be if he didn't inspire other people to make art? After all his mother inspired some of the greatest artist and poets of all time. He wished he could've been there.

"Of course, I haven't actually eaten today either now that I think about it" He said scratching the back of his neck. He smiled sheepishly and gestured for her to lead the way.

"There's an art club, you know, have your never thought of joining?"

Live shrugged, "Yeah, I guess.." She wasn't an artist. She couldn't be. Why? Live had no idea but she just couldn't see herself that way. But she wasn't gonna anything else on the subject. Somehow it felt too personal. It made her a bit anxious as she realized she was about to show this guy her sketchbook. She wanted to...she wanted someone besides herself to witness her creations.

Lucas gave another cute smile and Live sighed internally as he motioned for her to lead them to the cafeteria. She wasn't a romantic to say the least but she could always appreciate a pretty face. Especially one that was part demon.

"Me? Join a club?" Live asked incredulously. She almost actually laughed but her stoicism pulled her back to a mild huff. She realized it might be rude to the boy though (who was probably part of art club) and she coughed a bit, feeling awkward again. She really sucked at social interaction. "Yeah, no not really. People aren't really my thing.."

Lucas was positive that she didn't really agree with him, it was the same tone of voice he used when he was asked to "text" someone. He liked written out long letters and face to face conversation. Even if he wasn't the best at face to face conversation. Words came so much easier to him when he could write them down. However he knew he needed to get out of the habit of living as a by stander. It wouldn't do him any favors, with anything he wanted to do in life.

He smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah...i'm not much for social things but, im trying to get better at them. I heard the art club is genuiely a nice scene." He didn't know what else to say, he couldn't really influence her to do something he didn't want to. Perhaps if he could hang out with her more he could inspire her to follow her art passion. After all his mother said that's what muses did, they hung around people and influenced them silently...giving the confidence to do more with their lives.

"I can understand that, I spend most of time holed up in my studio. I'm thinking about maybe getting a bigger one even though I know I shouldn't" He said smiling as they walked to the cafeteria, This was more people yes but at least he had Live to focus on. One person at a time was a good enough motto for him.

Live chuckled a bit under her breathe. Sure, the art club was probably nice but she wasn't really nice herself so she couldn't be sure that the two would actually fit together. Nice things more often than not disliked Live.

His next statement really caught her attention though as the entered the bustling cafeteria. It wasn't as busy as it was at certain times but it definitely wasn't not crowded. They got in line as Live peered down to see what was available today. The food wasn't great but it was a few steps above her last school for sure.

"You..you have your own studio?" She asked her eyes growing big. She kept her voice level though, her stoicism doing its best to contain her feelings. She couldn't have people knowing that she was excited or happy or sad or anything in between and beyond.

Lucas nodded silent, picking a few things and putting it on his tray. He would offer to carry hers for her. The in grained gentlemaness in him was weird at times. He found them an empty table and sat down. He figured it would be better than sitting somewhere, with more people. He got the feeling that Live was like him in the social department.

"Yes, I uhm moved here from my dads domain and both he and my mom set me up with a studio. I live there and sell my art to pay half of everything. I'm actually gonna move into a bigger studio soon, so I'll be paying more." He said a little bit weird talking about him, he wanted to know about her. He remembered what Klaus said to him about making friends.

"Enough about me, I really wanna know about you live" he said sincerely.

Live grabbed what looked to be the best. She tried to eat relatively healthy but she wasn't the best at it as she often ended up with more starches than were needed. But yeah, you couldn't ask too much of the young girl.

She didn't let him carry the tray. Her expression looked confused when he asked and she quickly shook her head. She didn't really let people touch her stuff. Especially her food. She sat across from him, glad that he had picked a spot without anyone else. Space was good.

If her eyes were big before, they got even bigger. So big that she actually had to blink a couple times to get her expression to return to normal. "Damn. Can't believe you actually make money from art. That's the luckiest shit I've ever heard."

Live seemed to pull into herself as he asked about her. "There's nothing to know about me. Nothing worth knowing anyway." She said quickly, grabbing her fork and started in on her food.
