Sazz froze for a brief second as Wednesday hugged him. No he wasn't expecting that reaction, but he should've. He wrapped his arms around her again holding her tight. She was trying to keep it all together, for her own sake if nothing else but this was just too much.
For his part he understood exactly what she was saying. Maybe he should have been more afraid. After all, he was staring down the edge of a cliff. Still, he refused to even consider giving up. He contemplated what he should even say now.
"If I was going to leave you, I wouldn't even be here right now," he finally said. "And... after all that I couldn't just leave you alone. You're not alone."
