Anastasia had barely heard him when he had said the word blood, so she didn't clue in that maybe he wasn't, well mortal. Of course chances were, Anastasia wouldn't have cared. In fact she would have probably tried to recruit him to fight the witch with her. "Yah," She said quietly, her mind elsewhere at the moment. "Beautiful like blood..."

Her remoteness quickly left the minute Ronlyn said he could tell she didn't like her brother. Looking back at him she shrugged, "I guess, I don't hate him. Things have just been tough between us," Anastasia said, her tone softening. "But now it's to late and it doesn't even matter any more." It had happened so quickly, the letter, the break down, everything. That was why she had come to the beach, since the last time she had been in the school alone she had almost been killed by a demon child.

When Ronlyn mentioned that he had a brother and that he wasn't worth his time, Anastasia frowned. She was still facing him, so she could see the look of hate on his face. "Maybe you waste your time on him because he's your brother," Anastasia said slowly. "And you know that in the end he'll always be a part of you." Her eyes watched him, studying his body and his face. He interested her, and she didn't want to forget his face.

Ronlyn listened to her, not making any comment or anything, he just leaned on the wall, his eyes looking straight ahead, then she said something about his brother, then he did turn his head, and looked into her eyes, and the gaze was filled with anger, and threatening.

"I don't care if he's my brother and I don't care if he'll always be a part of me, I'll never be a part of him. I waste my time on him because my father has me too." He said, and it was clear anger was in his voice.

The time will come soon enough when he will mean no more in life, Ronlyn thought his wings changed positions again, but Ronlyn he continued to stare at the girl.

The anger hit Anastasia like a slap to the face, normally this would have just made her laugh. She was usually the one amused by other people's anger, although she would show that. But this anger in Ronlyn's voice was so real, so harsh, unlike anything Anastasia had heard from anyone else but herself.

When she looked up at Ronlyn she was taken back for a split second by the firey look he was giving her. As if it was her fault she had said that. She wasn't going to look away, especially when this boy was attempting to murder her with his eyes. "Well, most people are like that," Anastasia said, her eyes dancing with a soft joy and a strong stubborness. "And if your not like that, then don't blame me for assuming you have some human compassion left in you. Because honestly with those eyes, that is exactly what your doing darling, although they are pretty to stare into." The last part of her sentence was light and joking. She didn't want to start a verbal fight with him, and she wanted to let him know that.

Getting up from the sand, Anastasia walked over to Ronlyn, her chocolate brown eyes still focused no his. She didn't stop until her feet were touching his. "I don't want to start any fights with you Ronlyn," Anastasia said softly, her hands on her hips, giving her a stubborn but pretty look. "I don't even know you. But you can't go around being Mr. High and Angry, whenever someone mentions something about you having some sort of emotional connection to your brother. You just can't. Blame the rock or the sea but don't blame the person." She didn't move an inch after saying this, and wouldn't until Ronlyn gave her an answer, whether it was a sentence full of venom or a thought of peace Anastasia didn't care.

Ronlyn continued to stare at the girl, his eyes still showed anger, but what she said about his eyes, he didn't expect that, no one had ever said that but he didn't care that she did, he just thought it strange, very strange. When she got up and walked to him, he got up from leaning and stood straight, standing tall and he looked at the girl still in the eyes, his anger never leaving for a second.

When she spoke again, his eyes showed amusement, the anger left, but he was amused by her now. He liked how she was, how she acted, it amused him. And her stubborn, pretty look, and he thought her beautiful with it. He stood, still listening to her, but once she was done, he grinned his amusement still lingered in his eyes. He leaned forward, at the girl Anastasia.

"Your right, Anastasia, I shouldn't get angry when someone mentions my brother, but I do not really care if I blame the person, what trouble will it get me into if I do?" He asked her. He still looked amused, and as he had spoke his vampire fangs showed a lot. He stared into the girl's eyes. I wonder what you're blood taste like, he thought.

Ronlyn's expression changed from anger to amusement like running water, so fluid in it's movement that it almost caught Anastasia off guard. But even if it did she didn't show it. She still stared up at him with a determined look in her eyes, but now it was a softer look. And then he smiled, making her gaze completely disolve. Now her brown eyes just showed amusement, although there was still a hint of stuborness in them, but of course there always was. "He has such a beautiful smile, yet such an angry heart." Anastasia thought to herself. When he leaned over top of her she realized how close she was. Taking a step back she smiled.

"Well, it could get you physically harassed by a five foot seven blonde girl." Anastasia said plafully, giving him a wink and then stepping back a bit further. "But I suppose if your willing to take that risk, I can't say I didn't warn you." She said each word with humor, not being serious about it. This boy was wierd.

When Anastasia saw his fangs, a smile appeared on her face. "Nice fangs hun." Anastasia said, studying them for a second. For some reason she ran her tongue over her own teeth and was dissapointed when she realized that she didn't have a set of fangs. Why she was surprised was strange, because of course as far as she knew she was full human. She really was blonde sometimes.

When she was stepping back, his smile widened slightly and he stood tall, and he still stared at her amused. Well, this isn't so bad, the girl keeps me quite amused, he thought. He heard the humor, many people did that, acting like it was funny and stuff, but he never laughed at any of it, a waste of breath he would say, not caring much.

"Great, I'm shivering in fear now." He said, and he decided to use a humor like tone also, though he was one never to do so much, and he wasn't allowed to in his father's presence, his father hated it whenever he tried to do such a thing.

He nodded his head, he took that as a compliment, though he may have thought it strange, but right now he didn't care, not while he was enjoying himself. He remembered the day he got his fangs, when he became a vampire, it was a great day, as he thought, killing his foster family, he loved that day, and he knew he would always enjoy that day.

Anastasia was amused as Ronlyn talked, it was obvious he was being sarcastic, but the thing that amused Anastasia was the sound of his voice. That tone of speech sounded like it was almost new for him. But maybe it was just her, who really knew. "You had better be," Anastasia said a small smile on her face. "Because you know I can be pretty vicious." Moving so she was leaning beside him, she turned her head so she could see him. His energy seemed happier now, which oddly enough made Anastasia happy.

"So," Anastasia said quielty, attempting to find a comfortable position for her wings to go into. "I know this might sound kind of wierd but, are your wings always there, or can they like go into your back?" She had always wondered this about other people, because for her, her wings could go back into her back. Normally even if she didn't want them to.

"Oh, I don't doubt that you can't be vicious, even if your the one who doesn't have fangs." He said smiling slightly. He leaned back on the wall, and watched turned his head toward Anastasia and listened to her question, and he thought. His father told him he was born with wings, and he never tried putting them back through his skin, but as he search through his memory's, he remember.

"My father says they are never able to go back into my back, because I was born with them, and I remember trying to see if they would, but nothing happened, so no, they can't." Ronlyn said looking back at the sea, and he was deep in thoughts till he looked back at the girl. "Do your wings go back into your back?" He asked.

Anastasia laughed, "Oh well," she said lightly. "Who really needs fangs?" She moved a piece of hair out of her face, and gently brushed away some sand on her legs.

She listened to him as he explained why his wings couldn't go back into his back. It made sense. His body had probably closed up any space that his wings could have previously fit into. "Yes mine can," Anastasia said. "They normally go in by themselves, but I can sometimes put them in myself." Stepping away from the wall, Anastasia faced her back and wings to Ronlyn. Closing her eyes for a second, Anastasia felt her wings. Slowly she began to let them fold into her skin. In a minute they were completely gone, only the scars on her back were left. Turning around to Ronlyn, Anastasia smiled. "That is why I have scars on my back," She said. "The wings caused them, and when they first came out, they practically ripped my back off." She sighed, remebering when she first found out she had wings. Falling off buildings was so much funner now that she knew she wouldn't plumit to her death.

Going back to the wall, Anastasia looked at Ronlyn's wings. Without really realizing it, she reached out her hands and began to stroke it. They were interesting feeling. "Mmmm." Anastasia said, letting her hand fall of his wing, and back to her side.

He grinned. "Vampires need fangs, if they didn't how could a vampire get through a mortals flesh?" He said, still slightly grinning, then he watched her step forward and her wings went back into there skin, and he watched quite amazed, but he was one that would never wish to have his wings back in his skin.

"Amazing." He merely said, and he looked at her scars then she turned around, and he was once more in deep thought. Tarver would like this girl, but she, I bet would not like him, he thought for a minute, then suddenly her hand was stroking his wing. He looked over at her, a bit confused but it didn't show anywhere about him. Ronlyn looked up suddenly, hearing feet walking on the sand. He looked around and noticed a lone figure, wrapped up in a black cloak, no feature in sight.

When Ronlyn saw this figure, every bit of cheerfulness vanished, and anger smoldered in his eyes, and there seemed to be an angry aura about him. He was now standing up tall, his hand on his poison dagger. His wings also seemed to twitch a little, and it seemed Ronlyn was holding himself back from wanting to do something. The figure looked there way, but looked quickly away, but he stopped moving, then continued to walk, but in a slow pace. Ronlyn took a step forward, but stopped and just watched.
