Ah, the forbidden forest, a place much, much more like home. It had barely been a few days at starlight but the gleam and glamour of modern lights was blinding enough to unintentionally chase this bird deep into the depths of the woods. Kueria was a being of few complaints and fewer disappointments; in fact, she absolutely adored the mystical luminescence these lights emitted once darkness draped the landscape. That being said, it was just a little too much for her. After all, she ended up staring intently into the numerous lightbulbs she passed much like how one would longingly gaze into the blanket of stars above - which was not exactly the most intelligent move since she, more often than not, felt like she was staring into mini, condensed suns.

But out here amidst the darkness of midnight, everything felt just right. Silhouettes of towering trees danced in the rhythm of the natural breeze, creating a whimsical yet mysterious ambience which can only be found within the wee hours of twilight. However, it wasn't long before the young fae noticed an odd absence of small critters resting beneath the forest floor. The occasional playful gusts of breeze seemed to have dissipated as she wandered further and further astray. Instead, hulking misshapen giants lurked all around her radar while the canopy seemed to grow increasingly more ominous and foreboding. A slight trepidation twinged within the confinements of her chest but her unyielding curiosity pushed her onward.

Ruffling her feathers, Kueria quietened her footsteps and unfurled her wings ever so slightly as she continued her journey; the last thing she wanted to do was grandly announce her presence to whatever dangers loitered within the shadows. Maintaining this state of hyperawareness, she ventured on deeper and deeper into the woods.

ring...ring Oh well, what am I going to do now Arima thought to himself as another day at starlight academy has gone by. Now, Arima has just been transferred over to starlight academy to study here and lives at the dorm by himself. He could not be bothered to make new friends simply because he was just too lazy. Too lazy to talk to people and to voice one of his many exotic thoughts that could very well be superb conversation starters which can give birth to hearty discussions. Thoughts such as “what if there was something behind the azure blue sky we see everyday” or “what’s it like to live forever”. But unfortunately, Arima kept these to himself and allowed only his own imagination to illustrate possible answers to his thought-provoking questions. Now as Arima was examining the academy, he came across something that intrigued him. Due to his exceptional hearing, Arima managed to eavesdrop somebody saying “forbidden forest”. Putting on a saucy smirk to his monotonous face, he thought to himself, finally something worthwhile to do Arima let loose his apathetic attitude and approached people to ask about the forbidden forest. After finding out that the forbidden forest entails dangerous things that lurk under the cover of darkness and was advised to not go near there, every fibre of his body elevated to a crescendo of excitement from an all time low of boredom. With every inch of his body palpitating faster and faster, he was ever more determined to go and explore the unprecedented area. Knowing full well of what he’s capable of, Arima paraded himself towards the unknown that awaits him at the forbidden forest, without giving the slightest speculation of the ramifications that he may face or the obstacles that may very well ensnare him.
He trudged along the path donning a somewhat sinister and ominous smile that indicates the end of the mundane and humdrum life he has experienced ever since coming to starlight academy thinking to himself once again, now this is going to be fun
As he ventured deeper into the woods, he spotted a hazy hulking figure within the canvas of his vision. A single thought surfaced from the depths of his mind: it will get me if I don’t get it. Instantly, he commanded blazing flames to ripple fourth, radiating the vicinity in it’s scarlet destruction.

Kueria wandered, and wandered, and wandered, but her boredom continued to nag at her. That was until she saw a light - a brilliant, almost resplendent light in a distance. Not knowing much better, the dumb bird stared at it blankly, appreciating the transcendency of it before she vaguely noticed the light getting larger and that was when a single thought rang clear in her mind: wait wait wait, is that thing coming to...me? Oh no-

Too late, the flames came crashing onto her with immeasurable force. The young fae barely had time to extend her wing and shield herself from the impact. A robust gust of wind pummeled forward upon the shattering of her wind armor, harshly chasing stray leaves a distance away.

In a split second, she morphed back into a girl - small of build, slender of frame. Her wings, now appearing much too large for her stature, remained unfurled to reveal the full extent of its glory as her eyes narrowed ever so slightly in concentration. She willed the wind to aid her lunge forward, successfully covering the distance between her and her aggressor. Palm outstretched, she grasped hold of the shifting particles of air, crafting them together like a blacksmith at an anvil.

Hundreds of darts pitched themselves midair, all pointing towards the male before her as they gleamed beneath the moon’s luminescence.

“Why...” Folding both her arms and wings, she puffed her cheeks out as she did her best attempt (but failing) to glare daggers at the poor guy. With her voice escaping her lips as more of a childish whine than actual fury, she continued: “Did you attack Kueria?!”

“What?!” Arima exclaimed as his flames vanished and was confused as how it wasn’t enough to eradicate that monster looking creature, which also turned into a small girl. And in the blink of an eye she was able to turn the tables, with more than a 1000 shards pointing towards him, Arima is in a predicament... Different battle scenarios flashed through Arima’s mind as he decided what to do to circumvent the pickle he was in. But as he was thinking, he felt that the girl had no real killing intentions and was merely just defending herself from his own actions. Arima also realized that this place was definitely not suited for a little girl like her but after seeing what she can do, Arima came to the conclusion that she may be just as bored as him. After analyzing the situation, he determined that the best course of action was to defend himself from these shards first and clarify whether she’s one of the forbidden forest’s mob or an acquaintance of starlight academy. At this juncture, Arima partial shaped shift into a dragon, bringing forth its glorious wings. And with just a flap , he generated just enough force to blast away all the shards around him without harming the girl. Arima then glared down at her, firing a plethora of questions, so as to assert whether she’s a friend or a foe. “Who are you?! Where did you come from?? and why are you here?!” Depending on her answers Arima was prepared to not hold back this time and finish her of for real if she was an enemy. However if she wasn’t, Arima might just have found his very first friend.

Kueria let out a gasp as she gazed upon the other's...bat wings...? Kueria knew for a fact that it was a pair of wings but it was far from the bird wings she was so comfortable with. The girl was left in a state of astonishment as the male literally blew her creations away. In the eyes of this dumb bird, hostility was evident. Bending her knees ever so slightly, she immediately conformed herself into a defensive stance - one foot in front of the other, mirroring the position of her arms as her wings shrunk to a much more manageable size to boost her agility.

Who are you?! Where did you come from?? and why are you here?!

Upon being bombarded with questions, young fae tilted her head ever so slightly. After a few seconds of puzzlement, she finally replied, her words laced with confusion. "Kueria is Kueria! She woke up from being a bird after a thousand years!" Trailing off, she searched her rather empty mind for an appropriate answer before continuing her speech with equal enthusiasm "Kueria goes to Star... starbite... starflight... Star-something academy!"

Completely forgetting the quandary she was in, she then pranced toward the other, closing the awkward gap between them in an instant. Now facing the male in a much more composed and relaxed posture, she addressed him once more.

"So why did Mister attack Kueria?!"
