[[ i would love to exaggerate and say every animal encounter he's had but realistically speaking, no more than 5 were personal experiences and the rest are just horrible stories he's heard from friends. he was probably chased by a dog, scratched by a cat and maybe a parrot pecked at him. the only life threatening would have been the horse incident lel. its more or less a sort of trauma during his childhood

'I'm glad you're a selfless person.' she told Hal. The boy wasn't sure if he was suppose to take it as a compliment or be offended by it but he chose the former. Yet part of that makes him think that he really shouldn't be that selfless.
Hal was determined to keep his cool for the time that Wind was in her horse form. Unfortunately, his fear overpowered him and as soon as the girl changed forms, he nearly fell back. Luckily, he was standing behind a tree that had fortunately broken his fall before he completely lost his balance.
Hal stood unmoving next to the tree that had supported him as he watched Wind run around. While his subconscious fear held him in place, he admits horses had always looked pretty from a distance when the wind blew at their manes as they ran across the wide field. It was only a little sad that the late afternoon sun and the trees that canopied the forest darkened the view of the girl galloping about in her horse form.
After Wind raced off to the nearby field, Hal just slid down to sit at the bottom of the tree where the roots that gripped on to the ground appeared above the soil. He just sat there watching until she trotted back to where he was. Giving her a lopsided smile, he said, "I'm glad you had fun." he tried to say cheerfully. "I'm a bit jealous though, because the only time I can probably go on that speed is on a bike or something." he managed to jest.
