Nix chuckled in reply. "S' no problem, really. Glad I could be of help." With that, he started to sign... and sign... and sign.
As the day went by, many others came into the shop. Some of them he recognized from 'round campus, others from the local coffee shop, but most of them walked by without a passing glance, unstead going to Ada with their troubles. Which, in his defense, seemed fair - well yeah. She was the owner of the shop, for cryin' out loud. Huh. He wondered - maybe he could get a part-time here? As an employee, maybe. Though, that'd leave less time for him to go meet Lucy in the mornings. The recent uh... "thing".... he didn't even know what they were, really. Were he and Lucy a "thing"...? Probably.
Anyway. Onto the point. Heh - he had a habit of missing the point.
Nix snapped back into the world of the living (or well, of the conscious, at least) at Ada's question. "I'm still alive!" he blurted, before chuckling. "Sorry 'bout that. uhhh yeah. I got a place at the dorms. Real cool place, really - very cool roommate. Fire guy, like me. Though, uh... he doesn't react much to stuff. Swear, that guy's a walking clock too... Heh."
"Anyways, yeah. Uh, yeah. No, I'm not gonna stay here all night - though, with your hospitality? I'd definitely like to. Heh. T-That was a joke. Uh. Heheheh... Can I letcha in on a secret, Ada?" He leaned in, covered part of his mouth, and, with a conspiratorial smile, whispered, "Relax - same goes for me, though apparently I talk smoother than the cream cheese on a bagel." More chuckles. "Met this really cool girl in a coffee shop, though, a week ago - reaaal cool. And uh... Think she likes me." His grin morphed into a prideful smirk, which quickly morphed into a confused sort of frown at Ada's red face. "Shi - uhhh... Sharks, did I give you the Virus?!" Oh God.... He'd just gotten his new friend sick. Well, shit. What a lousy friend he was. Worry leaked into his features - it was apparent in his voice as he spoke. "You're all red...."
Aaand now here he was, at the door. Well... Okay, Nix. Don't jump to conclusions. You learned that with Kara, remember? Deep breath. In. Out. Maybe she wasn't sick. "Alright... Yeah! That'd be fun. Nice little Didney Worl trip, yeah? Maybe i can get Lucy to come too. Now that'd be fun. Hehe.... Speaking of. Thanks for your hospitality - feelin' muuuch better, thanks. I'll be sure to come 'round a lot more. Visit a bit. Sounds nice, eh?"
