Shay didn't consider herself much a leader. Too solitary and too many personal problems, but no one had ever taken steps toward something like this. Not that she had witnessed. She'd gone her entire life not understanding half of her heritage, and after meeting Regis and learning more about who she was, Shay decided it was time that things change. Not just for her, but for everyone.
Her display wasn't big; it wasn't anything yet. An idea at best. She had several drawn up schemes and tombs laid out on a long library table toward the front. It hadn't quite occurred to her yet that something like this might have been a good idea.
"Um, hi, I'm Alana, is this, the um... Hereafter Club?" Her voice came out shakier than she'd intended. Maybe she'd made a mistake. The only reason she'd come here was because she felt so alone. With all the species and powers at Starlight Academy, none were anything like her's. On top of that, she was brand new on the island and struggling with it. "You're a support group, kind of thing?"
Shay was surprised, to say the least when someone she didn't know had actually come to this little shindig. After all, she hadn't advertised her club like other people. Was it even a club? She guessed.
"Uh," for a moment, the Reaper was rendered speechless, but she quickly caught herself and gave a reassured smile. "Yes, this is the Hereafter club. A pleasure to see a new face. I'm Eroshay Rosales, usually go by Shay. Founder.
"It is both a support group and an information circuit; I imagine you're looking primarily for the former?"

Alana hadn't been expecting to find someone pleasant and kind in this kind of group. She was worried about the darker-born people. As a newbie to magic and fantasy species, Alana had gained a lot of prejudices based on ignorance. As a girl brought up in the normal world, things like reapers and demons belonged to horror movies. Now, she was seeking them out for help. Maybe she was like them. Maybe her powers were eldritch and dark too. She hated how she thought. People who think like that are the reason this group was formed, she chastised herself.
Judging by the girl's reaction, she hadn't been expecting anyone to turn up. "Your name is beautiful, Eroshay," Alana smiled. "Yes, mostly support, but there is like, zero information about what I am, so, information's good too. I just don't think it exists,"
"Beautiful?" Shay grinned. "That's not the first thing people usually say about it, but thanks. Before you ask, I have no idea where it comes from or what it means."
But then Shay was curious as to what this girl was that there was no information on her species. None at all. Odd. Well, Shay wouldn't be put off by it. She handed Alana the sign-up chart, still smiling easily.
"Really? I know some creatures have more oral history. I'm a Reaper, and there doesn't tend to be a lot correctly written about us. We don't have a culture or anything, so information has been hard to come by."
