"Sure, Saturday is perfect," Fe said as she took out her phone to set a reminder. "I do a double set that evening with a nice break in between," she informed Carmin. "We can even have a drink together during sets if you like?" she offered, kinda excited now that everything seemed to be going smoothly.

“Alright, I’ll be there then.” He hoped he wouldn’t chicken out and change his mind later. Having this pre-set commitment would hopefully help with that too.

Talking with Fe between sets would probably be a lot better than sitting there alone. “I can’t drink anything that isn’t water, but uh, I’d be alright with that still I suppose.”

"That's perfectly fine," Fe said as she threw her bottle in a recycling bin near them. "Lots of people on the island can't drink alcohol or anything with sugar in it," she explained as she got to her feet.

"So I'll see you on Saturday then?" Fe said as she grabbed her things as she got ready to leave. She had a rehearsal in an hour.

Carmin gave a firm nod. “I’ll see you then.” Then he got to his feet, ready to head home.

First he headed to his locker, but perhaps after that he might get a head start and go to the city.

He still couldn’t believe he was actually doing any of this.
