This had not been one of her best ideas. Coming here had been an absolute mistake. It was apparently forbidden for a reason. Her curiosity had made her do this... and now she regretted it.
Arms were folded over her chest, though her right arm was lifted slightly so she could bite the nails off of her left fingers. Her normally happy orange-red eyes were now filled with fear and her stomach twisted. It was so dark here... the trees here weren't anything like the ones in the other forest. Those trees were green, healthy, alive, and seemed so friendly... but these, these trees she didn't even want to think of how to describe them.
They were the exact opposite, though, that was for sure. Dark and twisted; the fox-girl wondered if these were even trees at all. They weren't shaped like them... and some of the branches were sharp. It was odd that they were so lifeless, and yet, they seemed to be looking at her.
Nyuu took a deep breath, leaning against one of the younger, less sharp trees. She was lost. Hopelessly, helplessly, utterly, completely, absolutely lost. She looked back in the direction she had come from, wondering if going that way would help her get back to the school.
For now, though, she was stopping. She sat down on the ground, pulling her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around her legs, with her tail swishing back and forth. "Nyuu...." she said in a hopeless, slightly pathetic, tone of voice.
