It's Raining (Spider) Men

He wasn't from this world then, that was unfortunate. He watched as the little one as she pondered and spoke her next question in rapid order. "I will go where you lead my lady. I need to find my way to the Home Cavern as soon as possible." With a groan he pushed himself up to standing. He could hear a couple parts of his carapace grinding against itself under his lower body's hairs. But he refused to comment on the pain.

"Is this school for the Matriarchy here? I haven't heard of such a school for the males of the Race." Drex began to move forward but stopped because he had no idea where he was going. He turned and looked behind him and noticed his weaponry laying not to far around. Takeing the moment to grab his heavy pole axe and spiked chain and putting them in their appropriate holsters on him. Once that was done he looked to the little one and nodded. "I'm ready to follow where you lead my lady."

Drex nodded and followed the little one. "I will do my best not to hinder you my lady. As time goes on I will slowly recover." Though at that moment Drex coughed up a mouthful of blood on the ground. Though in doing so it did seem like he stood a bit straighter. Even at the sedate pace the Little one was keeping he could see that she was keeping an eye on him. That was more curtious than he deserved. Even if he could see her tension he felt less... contempt towards him than he would expect from any of the Matriarchy.

As they went through the trees the little one asked him a question. "In a sense my Lady. I am a protector of my people. I held the Entrance from my foes for long years... I must find my way home. To protect my people." His massive frame took some maneuvering as they worked their way through the trees though and his voice trailed off as he had to focus on getting through the foliage. But he was able to speak up and say one thing. "If I may, can I have the privilege of knowing my Lady's name?"

"It will be a great pleasure to be of service to you my Lady Dalia. Once i have a chance to recover fully." Drex continued to follow along behind Dalia trying to keep himself moving. The terrain reminded him of the surface outside the cave entrance he guarded. The temperature however felt off, he couldn't put a finger on it.

In the middle of his contemplation he heard Dalia speak to him again. "Drex Di'Ardun, like my father's before me my lady. The line unbroken since the creation of The Dark Elves by the Goddess. That is all the knowledge i have to give about my name Lady Dalia. I hope that knowledge will be suffiecient."

As the continued Drex thought he could begin to hear the sounds of the forest waneing. They must be getting close to their destination.
